Marvellous restaurant by Brunswick Docks in Liverpool. There's an extensive menu to satisfy every taste. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Good free carpark and beside a Travelodge.

Not sure what happened. Arrived at 9.30 for breakfast, third in. They were short staffed, and we had some initial apologies. Our drinks arrived, very nice, our food order was taken. After about 30 minutes we enquired about our breakfast. '5 minutes' was the response. 10 minutes passed and almost an hour in the place. Others had eaten and left. We had a train to catch, so we couldn't even ask for the order to be amended to lunch. The server was about to take a payment for our drinks until I suggested it might be appropriate not to charge. We won't be coming back.

Restaurant: The food was tasty but the service was poor. It was half empty when the first member of our party arrived yet it took 15mins to be seated. It then took over 30 mins for our order to be taken and even then they only took it as I caught the attention of the server as she was serving someone else drinks and asked when they were going to come take our order. Not a venue for a quick Friday lunch. The deli however is fab, stocked with a variety of interesting items and well worth a visit.

Nice late lunch meal 😋👍🥂🍺🥪 had the crispy duck and lamb Scouse👍 so hot and fresh and full of flavour. Used a gift voucher we received from friends. Had Cocktails 🍹 and prosecco 🥂 to start, Amaretto Sour, barman made perfecto 👌🍸 also they serve no alcoholic beer 🍻. Staff were quick and friendly great afternoon🥰😋

I stayed in the restaurant for a big part of the day (from 9.00am) while waiting for my car being serviced nearby (Nissan car dealer). I could work remotely from there after having a table next to a mains socket. I had a tasty mocha among a nice selection of hot/cold drinks and enjoyed a delicious grilled chicken sandwich (including spinach, nicely seasoned salad and home made fries). The bread had a nice crispy crust with soft interior. That was lovely. Lunch time was very busy. It looks very good for anyone with or without children. Opportunity for improvement: * I felt "pressured" to order my lunch in a not very nice way by one of the staff - I did not really enjoy that moment though as I felt that I could have been asked in a much nicer way. * The format of the lunch menu "cards" (including flying papers) were not as fancy and sophisticated as the food. * The menu papers stayed on my table. I would have loved them to be removed after I ordered.

Great local restaurant and deli. The delicatessen is amazing. Such a wide variety of stuff. The restaurant is great too, never had a bag meal here. Great vegetarian selection, and a good bar and coffee selection. Really friendly and helpful team.

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever encountered. Arrived as a party of 9, sat outside enjoying the sun. Went to get drinks at the bar but was told it was table service only - OK, I know a lot of places do that and that's fine AS LONG AS YOU SERVICE THE TABLES. Not once did a waitress pop over to see if we needed anything so we ended up stood at the door, calling over our order so she could put it on the system. Service was so bad, I asked them to remove the service charge(which I would never normally do). Sunday I felt a bit guilty that I was too harsh, so I thought we could go over for breakfast (party of 4 this time) which apparently stopped serving at 11.30. OK, not a big deal but then was told lunch didn't start until 12.15. OK, no problem, we'll have a couple of orange juices while we wait. I sat and watched our drinks order getting warm on the bar for about 10/15 minutes (it really wasn't busy) and then when they were brought over the waitress informed us that she'd forgotten it was Sunday and lunch actually started at 12.30 *sigh* Time was getting to be a factor so a couple of cold starters would have to do. Again, our orders took so long to come out, people who came in after us were having cooked mains before us! When they did arrive, they were nice but way pricey for what they were. Utterly disappointed as other people's orders looked really nice 😔

Really nice place to visit, good looking enviroment, friendly staff. Food menu is overpriced for my budget but posh people wouldn't mind paying 16pounds for a salad i guess 😅 .

Just come back from having a lovely lunch, at the Delifonseca this afternoon. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, service, and food and drink. We would like to thank all the waitresses who served us. Also the manager who, sorry forgot his name.

Excellent proper deli, cheese and charcuterie counters, an Aladdin's cave of ingredients, treats, bread, salad counter, full butchers counter, beers, wine, spirits. They'll also make custom hampers which make wonderful gifts and there's an excellent restaurant attached as well. Foodie paradise

Best food and service I’ve received in a long time. The most attention, knowledge, and understanding of allergies/dietary restrictions, every safe and traceable. What was just as impressive was how genuinely friendly and welcoming everyone was about the allergies, super lovely people and good honest cooking elevated to a restaurant level. Pure nourishment but in a special manner

Had a lovely meal here whilst staying at the Travel lodge next door. Set menu £25 for 2 courses. Breakfast only starts at 9 am which is a bit late

Had an amazing lunch here today. The service from Tom was impeccable. I’ve never had service like it anywhere. A true gent! Food was beautiful and the whole menu at the moment is delicious. Will be back!

A hidden gem. I have eaten here a few times for lunch. Lovely fresh food and nice, friendly staff. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.

It was mine and my sons first visit to the restaurant today. I am a pescatarian and worry about what I will eat when i go out but had the most beautiful Stonebass fillet - definitely compliments to the chef. My 14 year old son who is quite fussy got the Butter Chicken and Rice which he loved. The only downfall for him was abit more rice as there was so much sauce. The staff where warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough. We will be back.

Visited Delifonseca for lunch and the food was lovely. The ambience was great also. However, it is quite expensive for portion sizes. I got a sandwich with chips and I wouldn’t say it exactly filled me. I am also not a fan of the pre added 10% tip when receiving the receipt. It makes it awkward for the customer to say no and would put me off coming back.

The perfect Sunday roast. Visited at 4:15pm on a Sunday. Warmly greeted by staff. Food arrived quickly and was FANTASTIC! Not stingy on the gravy, beautiful roast potatoes and the side vegetable was gorgeous. Portions sizes are just right. 3 very clean plates. Would highly recommend and will most certainly be returning.

Disappointing. Lovely venue. Service very slow, no awareness of customer needs, checking meal is OK, any more drinks, etc. We were refunded half costs of beef stew which was not liked. Expecting a panacotta dessert instead of a sorbet. Again disappointing.

Wow! What an amazing place!!!! Staff are so warm and welcoming, the decor is cosy yet modern and the view of the skyline over the river is beautiful. The food is incredible! First time I've been and I will 100% be going back! You HAVE to try Delifonseca, you will not be disappointed

We went for lunch. Not a huge menu but sufficient choice. As you'd expect not cheap but not extortionate either. Wine and food of a good quality and efficient, pleasant and helpful staff. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely return. Great to be able to park outside too.

COVID: Track and trace done. No screens in place to limit spread. All customers however advised on masks and had to remain seated. Service: Staff really attentive and friendly. Food: The food was full of flavour. Served within a good time frame (not lighting fast but you don't expect that with such fresh food). Overall: I must come back and try the Seabass! The food was excellent and want to go through the menu! We will be back!

An aladdin's cave of deliciousness. From unusual pastas and interesting olive oils to tempting biscuits and fresh cakes; cured meats, deli treats, sweets and drinks. Take your credit card though!! Next door is the restaurant which serves breakfasts all morning: fresh smoothies, Portuguese tarts, croissants filled with ham and cheese, something for everyone. Well worth a visit. 👌☕🥐

First visit to the restaurant today. Wanted to try a roast dinner here. Honestly the best roast Ive had for a long time. Beautiful meal, plenty of everything, fantastic selection of vegetables and roast potatoes to die for. I cannot recommend highly enough. Great staff too.

1st visit one of the best roasts I have had lovely fresh veg and nice and hot and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and attentive service. Has a nice shop attached too.

Very good quality food & groceries, haven't eaten at the restaurant yet but planning to soon. I wouldn't do my entire weekly shop here as its not cheap but I do come to buy specific high quality goods, cheeses, dry cured meats & pastries! Very good service too.

Really lovely restaurant and deli. The restaurant food is well thought out and is often locally sourced produce. Sharing platters are really nice, especially the fish. Steak is also excellent.

Was looking forward to breakfast here but really wish I’d gone elsewhere. For £12.50 I’d expect a somewhat decent full English, the mushrooms were bigger than the sausages and after trying the potatoes all I could taste for the rest of my meal was herbs. No seasoning in sight, just herb covered potatoes and tomatoes. I wouldn’t even called the baked beans, beans too. Probably wouldn’t visit again. Waiting staff were moaning we hadn’t booked yet the restaurant was very quiet. 2 sugar sachets each for 2 pots of tea with 3 cups in each. Could have gone somewhere for a lot more spending a lot less.

First time to this fabulous place. We were gutted that we had just missed breakfast but had a very tasty lunch. Everything about this place was lovely, the decor is gorgeous. We were looked after mainly by Tom the manager. He was very approachable and friendly. We will be back!!

Visited for breakfast after disembarking from a cruise. Although this restaurant is near a Travelodge do not let that stop you from visiting. The range of breakfast options was extensive. Our food and drinks were superb and delicious. The decor and ambience was lovely and relaxing and service top notch. If I were local I would be a regular visitor here for sure.

Where I leaving this review 3 years ago it would be a 5 star review without question. Their staff were all considerate and found time to make you feel cared about with their friendly attitude and amazing atmosphere, the food felt like it catered for people looking for more traditional food and those looking to try something a bit fancier. There was often a que for seats and people were more than happy to wait while they browsed around the deli section. Cut to 2022 following on from their award wins and extensive renovations and the restaurant despite being 4 times the size is a shell of its former self. Its gone from feeling like a close knit family restaurant to a big souless half empty building were the staff rush acting like they are in a super busy restaurant serving their dozen or so customers. Eating there now feels like any generic restaurant experience with pretentious food at even more pretentious prices. The only thing I can now wholeheartedly recommend is the deli connected to the restaurant which is and has always been stellar!!
