One of my favourite pubs in the city and probably the best beer garden location in Liverpool ✌️ 10 different cask ales available as well as 7 different beers on keg ( + bottles & cans in the fridge) so there is plenty to choose from πŸ˜‰ #stayhoppy

This is a complicated one, for me, as there are high highs and low lows for this establishment. I will proceed accordingly. Their vegan burger is wonderful. I could eat it any day, happily. 5/5 The staff is professional and quite kind. Service is prompt even in busy times. 5/5 The atmosphere is quite nice and the structure is beautiful. It is a bit hectic, as they do good business. So don't expect it to be overly peaceful. 4/5 The prices are about what you expect for the area. 3/5 The fries were one of the poorest excuses for food I've been served in this country. They were room temp, stale, and very sloppily seasoned. All of the salt and rosemary (odd choice, but it's neither here nor there) settled at the bottom. -5/5 It is a shame, because overall I enjoy the pub, but nobody in their right mind would serve such slop to a paying customer.

One of the best located pubs with the outdoor seating having amazing views of the Mersey. Plenty of options in the alcohol department to choose from apart from the food menu. We got some Beefeater, San Miguel, Glenfiddich, Old Mout, Guinness and Baileys complemented by some tasty nachos!

Went here once or twice while on a mini Liverpool break. Drinks and service was good, disappointed with food though. Had a chicken sharer but the strips were overcooked. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit due to location, right on the Albert docks

Such a nice surprise! This is probably the nicest terrace around but I wasn’t sure, at first, due to some bad comments on the food here. Those were totally unjustified as my fish and chips was simply perfect. Don’t hesitate and give it a try, they deserve better ratings.

Visited for evening meal as part of my Sister In Laws Hen Night. Very nice pub - good range of drinks. Was a little disappointed that the peach cider wasn't available but still enjoyed the strawberry cider as an alternative. Was able to sample an ale which tasted good. Food was lovely and the staff were friendly. Good atmosphere.

Really nice pub for a bite to eat, it was very busy when we arrived and very very loud which is why we are only giving 5 stars, for a midday lunch we expected it to be a little less rowdy but understand it is a pub so some noise is to be expected. Otherwise service was great and fast, we had some issues with tables as many were reserved for 3/4 hours after we arrived but they were reluctant to let us use them despite the long time before reservation. Would recommend :)

The pump house is a really nice pub located in a lovely area. You can order from the app which makes everything easier. The staff was super nice and the service was quick. Both beer and cider were really good and we loved the fish and chips! Prices are okay. If you pass by give it a try

Location is incredible, staff is very friendly but boy is this food rough. Would recommend coming and enjoying a beer but staying clear of the food.

Really nice place, good atmosphere. Clean and well kept. Really good beer selection. Can order from an app at your table. We had the chicken wings and they were really bad, flavourless and dry. Other good we saw looked ok.

Excellent service and beautiful food. Table 38 was lovely with great view if the Dock. Left an unopened birthday card at our table by mistake (5.30pm on 20th July). Went back 4hrs later and the lady who'd served us had kept it safe behind the bar. What a star!!

Busy well situated pub with a great atmosphere its quite busy and fairly noisy so don't go expecting a quiet drink. The service was very good considering how busy it was and I was quickly served several times. There is a good selection of beers and ales and it was good to get a pint of trooper on draught, I tried several different ales and thourghly enjoyed them all 🍺

Decent pub in a good location. One of the only dog friendly places in the area. Prompt friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Only gripe was that the Nachos were a bit dry, not much cheese on. Other food was good.

Atmosphere and staff were lovely and friendly. The food was very disappointing, especially for the price it was. My bacon and chicken sandwich was 98% chicken, with the tiniest bit of bacon (pictured) and the chicken didnt taste very fresh. Also, the bread was very dry. My partners meal was disappointingly sparce even though it was in the main meal section. Fries were lovely though. Overall, lovely place but really bad quality food.

Ruining the meat To the chef who preparing slow cooked pork belly. Pls take my advice. Preparing food is not all about the presentation but the taste of the food. Presentation was great and no question about that but the taste of the food is 0. Let me advice you, you must prepare the pork by slow cooking it either steam or boiled and don’t deep fry the pork. Deep frying the pork especially the small piece, the meat texture will change to a rubber. After you slow cook, boiled or steam boil the oil into maximum volume then use the tong to hold the meat and fried only the fatty portion of the belly. Hope you will take my advice so that customers are happy.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Servers were attentive and friendly. All our food was served hot and tasty. Good variety on draught and food menu was also quite varied. Atmosphere was casual, relaxed whether dining as a family or dining for one. Lovely views too, would definitely recommend

A nice pub with a lively atmosphere. There are quite a few seating options but it can get very busy during peak times. There is a good range of drinks to choose from including some Beatles themed beer.

Visited this place while I was on a day trip to Liverpool. As per my friends suggestion, beer and nachos are a must try. So I tried nachos and was totally satisfied! It's a must try. Their service time is minimum 30 mins which I did not know and asked one of the staff regarding my order. That's when they mentioned it still got 4 min left. But got my order after 15 minutes. Well apart from the service delay, everything was good in a nice cozy place right next to the river.

Had we been paying for this ourselves and not using a gift voucher then I'm sure we would have been asking for a refund. The food was really not good at all. Overcooked, over salty and just not pleasant. The upside is the staff and manager were all very attentive, polite and responsive to the issues. We were offered the usual free deserts, drinks etc but feels like this is something they are dealing with all the time. Greene King management......your staff are great but more care needed on the food side of things.

They made every effort to get me my pub maquette scan which they already had, but they had no picture due to life and it getting used. I just happened to be the one who wanted the scan. Very nice staff. It's a green king so what to expect is like spoon's. Made every effort to to get a scan, but you can't force him it

As it's name suggests The Pump House is a converted pump station located in the Albert Docks. It was literally our first and last port (πŸ˜…) of call on a great weekend in Liverpool. The first occasion was just for a refreshing drink, at an outdoor picnic table, on a lovely, sunny afternoon. The second time was for a late lunch/early dinner 3 hours before our train home πŸ˜• The outdoor ambience is lovely with fine views of the varied architecture of the docks. The inside area has a modern, contemporary feel which is, to me, a bit at odds with the exterior - but then again it could be seen as reflecting the docks old and new buildings πŸ˜ƒ Service was fine and friendly.

Not been here in years so it was great to see that it’s still brilliant, The ales the staff recommend was unbelievable and the food was spot on. Staff so helpful and friendly it’s effortless to them to be nice. Great atmosphere Great staff Great place. Nice one guys.

Lovely place by the docks with a great atmosphere. The service was slow, but I know lasagna isn’t made quick so I’m sure it was an exception. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely would recommend. Great price as well.

Just around the corner in Albert Dock. The big fish and chips isn’t that big. Burger is normal standard, not amazing enough. It is good for a bite and relaxing in the afternoon at outside area near the dock.

Stopped off here on Friday afternoon for a couple of afternoon drinks. It was very busy with very few places to sit, the wind was blowing straight off the Mersey and there was little shelter. Drinks were not the cheapest with Peroni being around Β£5.70 a pint. Service was reasonable from the side hatch. Not sure what the inside was like as we stayed outside. Would love to return when it is not so busy.

Visited yesterday on a busy & sunny Sunday evening. Great chance to sit outside the venue, with a lovely view of the docks. The pub seemed short staffed, but the staff were doing their best to cater to everyone. Unfortunately my order didn't arrive until everyone at my table had long finished their meal, however, when mentioning this to the team, they were very helpful & understanding & I was really happy with the resolution. Thanks to Steve & the team's kind response, I would definitely visit again.

Avoid! Average - at best - food, which is all I expected of a chain pub. What I didn't expect was to pay Β£60 for a couple of drinks, a few sandwiches and a bowl of nachos. What is going on with the price of eating out nowadays!?

Great selection of beers, and excellent food. Really friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating. Must visit when in Albert Dock!
