Overall, we had a good experience because of the location, beauty and appointment of the room. My service rating is explained with examples below. The rooms felt like sleeping in a museum with the murals and finishing touches on the crown molding. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The upgraded room to a suite was especially nice. Really enjoyed the crisp air and the sound of the river. Location was also excellent for peace and quiet. Nice to stroll across the river for a change of pace restaurants that cater more to the local crowd. Having stayed at other St. Regis properties, the biggest difference for us at this location was inconsistency with service from cleaning to turndown to doormen. There was a strike of some sorts one of the days that affected housekeeping. More specific examples of my comments about service (when compared to another St Regis Italian Property), were the small things that added up over a three night stay. Less than half of the time were we greeted upon entering or exiting the property. Most often the revolving door was not assisted. Almost no one grew to know our name or use it except for only when we check in. Expectations of a luxury property are high but relative. As mentioned, we did have a comparison of the same brand, different city. I tried to write this as fair and balanced as possible but with so many options in Florence, I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

Not surprising but this is the best hotel we stayed in on the whole trip. Fantastic service and rooms. It is a historic building, so expect a more traditional and ornate aesthetic vs a modern hotel. Excellent walking access to downtown and the concierge made us dinner reservations and recommendations on what to do our first day. Couldn’t recommend this higher - top tier experience. Also don’t miss the extensive cocktail menu in the hotel bar that is open until midnight.

Great 5-star hotel in Firenze. On the expensive side but the rooms have great traditional charm, the inclusions are a treat including the evening complimentary drinks. EUR80 per night for a Roll away for a child is a little unnecessary considering the high price for small rooms. Lots of history in the building which the staff did a great job telling us about. Cocktail menu is a little dated. Breakfast was fairly typical, nothing amazing but plenty of options. Staff are on point. Great location, slightly away from the crowds of the main attractions but close to walk.

Room and service were absolutely amazing. We had a view of the river and couldn’t be more pleased. Aldo and Marcello were very attentive and made our stay quite exceptional. I’m not sure what someone else that wrote a bad review about the breakfast was expecting but my wife and I were very pleased. They have a chef that will prepare whatever you want and it’s included for free along with an extraordinary buffet with any accompaniments that one could ask for. Not sure if they were expecting someone to shower the floor with rose petals and roll out the red carpet with sparklers for their entrance but I was more than satisfied and so was everyone else. I even saw multiple people staying at other hotels pay for that breakfast. May be on the pricier side but well worth it.

Great location near all of the action. It’s on the river which allows you to easily walk to the numerous cathedrals, museums and restaurants. Service here is what you’d expect from a St Regis. The staff is very friendly, speaks English well, and is always looking for ways to be helpful. We left some jewelry in the room after our departure and they were helpful in finding and and helping us get it back at our next hotel. The rooms feel like you are staying at a palace. Very luxurious feeling. Overall a great stay.

Recently stayed at St Regis Florence in a stunning upgraded junior suite – the whole place felt like a posh museum. The interior is filled with majestic art pieces, creating a luxurious atmosphere. The breakfast was a standout, presented in a theater-like setting that added a delightful touch to the experience. Highly recommend for a special and artful stay!

This was hands down the most pleasant cocktail experience I’ve ever had. My husband, daughter and I went in for a drink after a long day of walking around Florence. When we arrived, our daughter was given a little St. Regis teddy bear before being led to our table in their amazing bar area. Christian and Danilo were amazing. The cocktails were so good and they proceeded to give our daughter the best experience with a birthday party for her new bear. The party was complete with food, songs and they gave her some crayons and accessories for her bear as well. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and amazing space. Thank you so much!!

Absolute phenomenal service. Best view in town. Intelligent concierge. Attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, and nicely decorated. My only down take is the location of the room. On the first floor, same floor of the breakfast restaurant, the corridors smell like fried eggs. As well, my room was next to a public toilet that really smelled bad. I love it, definitely coming back but it’s only fair to mention these points too. In hopes of reviewing the situation by the respective hotel managers. Best.

Well… what can you say? It’s a St. Regis. Of course it’s fabulous! We stayed just one night, our last night in Florence. The concierge arranged for a car service to transit us to the airport early the next morning. The hotel is just beautiful and the staff were lovely. We ate at the Winter Garden and did “the ritual”. The food was amazing, as expected, but the service was bad none. It’s everything you expect from a St. Regis and then some. Our only complaint- not staying longer! We can’t wait to come back for an extended visit.

The location is just phenomenal! The experience was great, as expected. Well-kept rooms. Kudos to the housekeeping department for the excellent details to attention during the cleaning. Came back to pleasant surprise every time I arrived.

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Florence. An historic bank building transformed into a luxury hotel close to the museums and city center was excellent for us, visiting thee city for the first time. Apart from the historic, grand decoration of the hotel, the service is exactly what you expect from a St. Regis. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back. The gym however, is way too small and underwhelming.

This review is a bit late - we stayed in Feb. Our stay was fantastic in every way! Thank you St. Regis team for making it special. The breakfasts are a buffet (covid safe) as well as custom order, so we started off each day well fed. Our room overlooked the Arno River and we enjoyed time each morning and evening sitting with coffee taking in the view. Additionally, the staff was so helpful in assisting us navigating inside/outside seating at local restaurants, as we were wanting be away from crowds as much as possible.

Good location, nice staff, and good looking rooms. My review is for a river/plaza view which was spectacular. Food was very good. I recommend anything. I give the bed and sheets an 8/10. ALMOST to Ritz Carlton/Four Seasons comfort. The only improvement could be for the bathroom fan to work. Also not having an espresso machine in the room or some way to make coffee is not acceptable.

Beautiful as all St.Regis properties! We were so tired we missed the complimentary glass of Franciacorta during the evening ritual. As Titanium Elite member, benefits include a hot drink in the room per person and two ironed pieces per person per day. The room is very charming even if the view is on a side street and the bathroom has a large shower but no bathtub. The staff is extremely courteous. The restaurant is beautiful! Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a central location and impeccable services. Breakfast is FANTASTIC! The omelette was perfect and delicious, fruit was so tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely stunning hotel, room was stunning, and the room service was true restaurant quality and the butler service went above and beyond, the chrome cast wasn’t working on the tv and she tried everything to get it working, then in the end brought a brand new Apple TV for us to use the duration of the stay. The breakfast was also amazing and stunning setting for breakfast, all the staff were amazing, remembering our names and greeting us like they had known a us for years, I give the location a 4 only because on our last night we were walking back to the hotel after dinner and maybe 100 meters from the hotel a homeless man started yelling at us and even went to assault me but I ducked out of the way, so be carful around there at night. But other than that it was amazing !

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a pretty good time. The room was awesome, breakfast hit the spot, and the location was perfect—nice and quiet since it's not right in the middle of everything. But, there was a bit of a mix-up with the room and butler service. One night, we asked night service to wait 15 minutes, but no one ever showed up after. Another time, we ordered coffee through our butler, and somehow that never made it to room service, so no coffee for us. Also, the room service button on the phone didn’t work, so we kept having to call the butler or concierge to get through to room service. It was kind of a hassle and made things a bit unpredictable and confusing.

We booked this hotel through American Express Fine Hotels and we incredibly impressed with our stay. The Florentine room was huge with a beautiful balcony overlooking the river, the butler service was very helpful and the service was superb. We enjoyed watching some guests do the traditional St Regis Prosecco Sabrage too!

Titanium Member. Stayed two nights. Check in was fine - not offered a drink/water and had to ask for one after being sat in the waiting area. Room was very nice. I wouldn’t say there was much “butler service” however they did put champagne in our room for anniversary. We stayed at St Regis Venice before coming here and I think we were a bit spoiled by that experience…. Overall, nice hotel in great location but not sure it’s St Regis level overall

We stayed 3 nights here. From the very first moment you walked in, they made you feel welcomed and your needs met; and arriving feeling very tired from the travel, it was very comforting. The room quality is high. Service is impeccable. And its location is easy walking distance to all the main attractions. We will definitely come here again when we return to Florence!!

The St. Regis in Florence is amazing! The hotel decor, the location, the food, was memorable. The people are the most important part of this great hotel, they define what service should be. Can't wait to return on my next trip. Dr. Nielson

Great location, staff and hotel. Room was very spacious with a spectacular views. Helpful in getting my purchases shipped back home from my excessive shopping and shipping certainly wasn't cheap but worth it! Next trip in I definitely will stay!

This place was absolutely amazing. The attentiveness from the staff was amazing. We got Butler service and Elena was always there to be helpful my curling iron broke so he brought me one to use. She coordinated with conciage for some things. She was amazing! All staff was amazing from the management to the doorman loved my stay here!!

We spent three nights at the St. Regis in Florence. Thanks to our Ambassador status, it was a wonderful experience. We had a room with a gorgeous view of the city over the river. The staff came often to tidy up our room and provide assistance. Butler service was included which we took advantage of by having coffee brought to the room in the morning. The breakfast was good and well served each morning. We also loved how well the hotel was decorated for Christmas. The concierge desk was extremely helpful in making reservations for us at restaurants that might have been difficult to get otherwise. Everything felt very luxurious! We would definitely stay again given the chance.
