Hotel L'Orologio is the perfect combination of upscale and well-located while still being a relatively good value. If you're traveling by train it's an easy hop over to Santa Maria Novella station. From the hotel we walked to all the main tourist sites in Florence without the need to ever step foot on a bus or tram. We had an interior room with one window facing a courtyard and two other windows facing a different courtyard. So the view was lacking but the upside was that the room was extremely quiet and made it easy to sleep. We had a mini fridge that they stocked and re-stocked with complimentary water which was a nice touch. There was also a light turndown service each evening which was a bit of an unexpected surprise. Breakfast is included and served in a beautiful room on the top floor over the hotel overlooking the Basilica and piazza. It includes both American breakfast items (scrambled eggs and bacon) and European breakfast items (meat and cheese) and even a bottle of prosecco if you choose to indulge. The lobby spaces are beautiful with clock themes. It's a nice place to sit and relax though I rarely saw anyone there during our stay. Staff was all great and welcoming as well.

Great hotel with wonderful breakfast room on the top floor and a nice bar on the ground level. We had one of the smaller sized rooms but it was still spacious enough for us. Staff was very helpful, location is great, and the lobby has a number of seating areas. Two things that could have been better, the rooms are very nice but ours only had one wall outlet and no usb charging ports that we could find. Second, our room was above the smoking room and anytime someone was smoking in it the smell invaded our room to the point it smelled like someone was smoking a cigar in the room.

Booked here for a 2 night stay in Florence. The hotel quickly checked us in, but since we arrived early, they stored our luggage in a very secured place, which is good. The service was top notch. The room has a weird design, but I guess it’s a normal room setting in Europe as it’s a L shaped room. We were on the 3rd floor, and I think the cafeteria is above us, and the soundproof is quite subpar here, so it could get noisy. Still recommend this hotel as the convenience and the service were great.

Great location easy walk (10-15mins) to most attractions. Spacious and clean room with double glazed windows reduced noisy from the street. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive to their guests. Highly recommend this good value place.

Excellent hotel. We were supposed to be at the Balestri hotel but due to the Covid we were installed in L'Orologio, of the same chain and of a slightly higher quality. Room overlooking Santa Maria Novella; very clean, comfortable and quiet. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Central, 5 minutes from everywhere. Great impression of Florence and the hotel.

The hotel was wonderful. It is a gem of a boutique hotel. The room was extremely clean and attractive. The staff was very helpful and professional. They serve a fantastic civilized breakfast in a light filled space as a part of the hotel stay. It is located in the central part of Florence near the historic sites.

We stayed at this hotel during our stay in Florence last week and can honestly say it was superb. Conveniently located within walking distance from Santa Maria Train Station. We got upgraded to a duplex room which was lovely and the hotel service was very warm and friendly. Perfect location and clean rooms with all the amenities you need! Breakfast was great however choice of breakfast could have been slightly better especially for those who don't eat pork! Cappuccino was great though! We can't really fault this hotel to be honest and would highly recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Florence.

We spent two nights here and wish we had stayed at least two more! The location is excellent, easy walk from the train station, easy walking access to all the great local attractions, great restaurants in nearby streets. The staff were absolutely lovely, genuinely friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The room was amazing and the breakfast was fantastic. Florence is lovely, we can’t wait to return one day and we’ll definitely stay here again. Grazie Mile!!!

If you like Rolex, you will like this hotel. This hotel has 5 star hotel service. Breakfast atrium view is extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers.

Excellent location in the heart of Florence, there is a cathedral nearby and a piazza filled with restaurants and gelatos. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were luxurious, bathroom was outstanding. The hotel had a watch theme so there were clocks every on display. Staff were also friendly.

This is the most classy and beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The watch themed decor was a delight for my husband who is a watch enthusiast. The staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent. Great location too.

Large group, breakfast was buffet style but did not seem as well made as other places. Rooms very very nice and had USB outlets making it nice for travelers. Location was great being close to train station and other sights in the city.

Overall a very good hotel, and our most comfortable beds in Italy!! An excellent location in the heart of Florence! Our room was very spacious and clean. We got lucky to have a rooftop terrace with views of the Duomo (our traveling partners who booked the same room style were not so lucky). I wanted to give 5 stars, but two things held me back. 1) if one were disabled or uncomfortable navigating stairs and steps, this is not the hotel for you. 2) while the staff at breakfast were pleasant, and the view from the top floor breakfast room overlooking the Plaza de Maria Santa Novella was BEAUTIFUL, the breakfast itself can most generously be described as “mediocre.” If you ordered espresso or cappuccino, you were fine, but they had a pot of “americano” coffee out on the breakfast bar that was usually burnt and gross. The croissants were very “meh”, the fruit under-ripe, and the breakfast meat was either undercooked or burnt to a blackened crisp depending on the morning or where in the serving dish you happened to be at the time. Scrambled eggs or the granola were pretty much the best options. Overall the breakfast selection was better at other European hotels we’ve stayed on this trip. Overall, still a good experience.

We absolutely love this hotel! Not only is the hotel beautiful, but the location is top notch as it is right by Santa Maria Novella and a 5 min walk from the Duomo. The hotel staff is also great and they even allowed us to host a beautifully done welcome party at their hotel bar. 5 stars!

Trendy, watch-themed hotel. Great ambiance, rooms are spacious with built in music. Front desk is amazing (thank you Paolo for the recommendations). Centrally located with all major sights within minutes walking distance. Can be a little noisy given it's location, but the music helps drown it out.

We loved this hotel! The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was so nice and helpful, and it was a fantastic location! Only a 5 minute walk from the train station, and central to all the museums and other popular things to do in Florence. The breakfast provided was amazing! We looked forward to it each morning. We will definitely stay here again!
