Stunning view of Florence from the rooftop terrace. You don't have to be a guest of the hotel, as it is open to the public. We only had drinks as the kitchen wasn't open yet. Worth a visit.

My top favorite hotel I stayed in Italy! By far best views of the city. Room and service were top notch. Breakfast with a view that you can’t beat! A fantastic spot for sunset with a drink on that rooftop. I would definitely come back to same spot! Ciao!

We came here for a drink in the evening as the sun was setting. The sails that block out the sun are so majestic! You get a decent view over the rooftops and the drinks are delicious. Just a lovely spot to relax and look out over the city.

Florence is a city painted by painters and colored in by dreamers. You might have to come here for business, but my hope is that even if you do, you spend a few hours wandering aimlessly and indulging in the pervasive magic of it all. Palazzo Guadagni is the place to stay. I lived in Florence years ago, and now when I come back, this will always be my home away from home. I was greeted at check in like an old friend by the beautiful and warm Laura and shown around the hotel. There is a stunning wrap around columned terrace dotted with tables, little couches, and potted palms that looks straight out of a Merchant Ivory set. My room was decorated with unique tasteful furniture, original floors, a gorgeous tiled bathroom, and a view over the rooftops I won't soon forget. Whenever I needed a cappuccino Atish and the rest of the staff treated me like royalty. Everyone remembered my name and I really did feel like I was a guest in a home. My room was serviced daily, everything was spotless, and I was checked out by Rita who was beyond helpful. If you come as a single female traveler, you will feel safe, pampered and looked after here. This is unfussy proper luxury. Nothing corporate or canned about it. This place is full of heart and intrigue and I cannot recommend it enough. I look forward to coming back again soon.

We just left this hotel and had a wonderful experience. Room was large and had everything we needed. The view from the bar is gorgeous. The entire staff was very very nice and helpful. Vincenzo at the reception desk spent time talking with us yesterday and was extremely kind. The location is quieter which we liked. We met more locals and enjoyed great food just a few steps from the hotel. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, the view is stunning. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was fairly average and some staff members are a little lacklustre in terms of helpfulness.

An absolute gem. Wonderful! If you are looking for a place to stay when in Florence, this is where you want to be. It is very clean, run by professional staff who are friendly and speak several languages, and the ambiance is priceless, with rooms of high vault ceilings, simply rich decor and light hues. The hotel spans several floors in the Palazzo, with a wonderful bar/lounge on the top floor, with a balcony the overlooks a beautiful, lively plaza. The rooms are spacious and cool, with comfortable beds and a well kept, impeccable bathroom. It is only a few minutes away from the Ponte Vecchio, and you have a great view of Firenze's rooftops and the Duomo from the top floor balcony. The overall effect of Hotel Palazzo Guadagni is that you are fully immersed in the Renaissance, with all the updates of modern life. Worth every penny and I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Florence. The staff is caring and very friendly. We slept in a very comfortable room with a magnificent view of the Dome of Florence. The breakfast on the terrace is amazing. I can not wait to return! Thanks Palazzo Guadagni !

Hotel Palazzo Guadagni is in a great location south of the river. The terrace is wonderful and they do a very good breakfast. However, I paid for the highest room category and was very disappointed to find myself on the first floor in a room that had noise from the stairwell, patchy wifi, a very dated leather sofa, and poor water pressure. It definitely was not worth the nightly rate. I didn't see the other rooms but I think they would be a much better offer in terms of price and position.

An Enchanting Renaissance Experience! Staying at Palazzo Guadagni was like stepping back in time while enjoying modern comforts. The historical charm of the building and its elegant décor created an ambiance that truly transported us to the Renaissance era. The staff's warmth and attention to detail made our stay even more special. The view from our room overlooking the city's rooftops was breathtaking, and the central location allowed us to explore Florence with ease. A memorable and delightful stay!

My wife and I have just spent 7 days in mid January 2023 at the hotel. The weather was cold and mixed. Some warm winter sun, some persistent dreary rain. The experience was a complete delight. The hotel itself is well situated to explore the whole of beautiful Florence. The building is of historic importance and the furnishings reflect this. Whilst the historic nature of this hotel is a key feature, of much more importance, perhaps, is our observation that the hotel offers superlative hospitality. The staff, one and all, are kind, professional and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, warm and restful. Breakfast was of very good quality and because it was self service in nature, supported by attentive staff, there was little excuse not to have a first class meal to start the day. The ambience of the hotel was one of professional, well appointed calm. We came and went at all times of the day and upon arrival each time we were greeted by friendly staff. The cocktail bar, a key feature, attracts evening visitors, keen to enjoy a pleasant sundowner before going on to dine at one of the many first class eateries in Santo Spirito and beyond. In a cold Tuscan January, this hotel is unquestionably a very good place to find oneself. Dr Keith Milsom placed to explore

We adored this beautiful hotel with very helpful and attentive staff in a fantastic location. The rooftop bar is really a gem and a highlight of our stay. We ate breakfast outside everyday and loved being able to watch the market and other activities on the square. Comfortable bed, spacious room (we booked the deluxe) and nice bathroom. Very close to many great restaurants and within walking distance to all of Firenze's highlights.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommend staying in the suites on first floor. The ceiling makes you feel like you are living inside a museum. Beautiful frescoes. The hotel itself is so beautiful and historical. Recommend asking the manager to give you a history lesson with a tour. I do think the breakfast can be improved but it didn't impact my stay so much as I am not big on breakfast. Definitely explore the hotel as there are many beautiful windows to look out from. The terrace bar is by far the best in all of florence.

We had some aperitif on the rooftop bar. It was gorgeous! Wonderful view and atmosphere. We reserved a table online earlier in the day. I recommend this as it was busy

Absolutely unflawed service start to finish. Staff were extremely attentive and had a beautiful stay with an incredible view from the roof top bar. Would highly recommend should be a 4*!

People had suggested go and have a drink on the roof terrace outside, it overlooks a busy piazza. I had "Rose Mary" a play on "bloody Mary" I guess. It was really fresh and tasty. Negroni also good apparently x

I had an amazing stay in this lovely palace. I can’t recommend it enough! My room was extremely spacious, had a beautiful large balcony overlooking the Piazza Santo Spirito, and the ceiling is a huge fresco illuminated by well placed lights. It’s a short walking distance from all major attractions, in a neighbourhood where locals and tourists mingle together. Even the drinks at the rooftop bar were the best I had during my stay in Florence. A big thank you to the owners who restored this Palazzo!!

The view and the ambiance at the roof top bar is great. Definitely worth to go. You can prebook a table through their website. However reception stuff not too welcoming whic h is a shame, but luckily we are here just for a drink, and not guests at hotel.

Great small boutique hotel with an amazing terrace bar. An amazing drink with a view and a light breeze on a sunner day. Room had nice clean bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast and solid AC for us spoiled Americans. Location in Santo Spirito was perfect. Great night scene "movido" in the courtyard below, but seems more the in crowd than the packed tourist areas on the other side of the River Arno.

Decided to stay here for my birthday and we can honestly say this place deserves another star. The rooms were traditional yet nicely decorated, clean and comfortable but the roof terrace was the real gem. AMAZING cocktails with a perfect view, it was definitely our favourite place to relax after a day of exploring Florence. Loved the busyness of the square beneath and the staff were so lovely and attentive. Absolutely would stay here again, it felt so special.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Florence. We loved the location and the view from our room. The hotel also has a very nice rooftop for sunset drinks. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Florence.

We booked the superior room with a view and I can’t describe to you how beautiful it was. Waking up to that view and having breakfast at the hotel’s terrace was like something out of a dream. The people were so polite, both at the reception and the breakfast staff, and they always accommodated our every need with a smile. The location is perfect and although so central, the night was quiet and we had the best sleep. I really can’t recommend palazzo Guadagni more!

We had a horrible experience at the bar. We just left the bar and our drinks never came even after waiting for 40 minutes. The server never checked on us. And when we told him, he actually had the gall to disbelievingly say “the drinks never came out?” The server didn’t apologize or try to make it right. They actually just took out the drinks from the bill altogether as if we never ordered them. The only people who were nice to apologize and try to make it better is the host lady. Terrible terrible experience. Would not recommend.

A great place to stay for a cpl of nights. Everything was just perfect. The room we stayed in offers a great view, we loved the spacious bath-room. The loggia of the Hotel - just stunning. Awesome to watch sun-set from there. All in all and everything made our stay at this Hotel unforgettable. To sum it up: we LOVE this special Hotel! By the way the Loggia is open to public in the evenings. Dont miss it!

Huge wonderful rooms, balcony overlooking the plaza where you can have a great free breakfast or evening drinks with a great view of the Arno River and downtown Florence. Staff was very friendly. Adjacent to a famous church and near the Piti palace. This is in the area of is where you find the locals and family restaurants.

I had a wonderful stay at the Palazzo Guadagni, the rooms where amazing, frescos and stucco ceilings everywhere, antique furniture and views to the Piazza. The family who runs the hotel was so welcoming and I immediately at home. I can only recommend it, will be back very soon!

Really enjoined my stay! This hotel has a lot of charm, and as it is located on the 3rd floor of the palazzo there are beautiful views over the roofs of Florence from the loggia of course, but also from the rooms. Breakfast was good with a large choice of food, and all the staff was extremely friendly. The location is from my perspective also excellent, just a couple of minutes walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the heart of the city, but at the same time this is a more quiet area so you are not facing a continuous flow of tourists every time you step out of the building. Still quite a lot of choice for dinner in the surroundings.
