The large room for two was very clean and a great deal! I had to book last minute online, so it was all I could find for myself. I was very happy with my stay! The staff are very nice people. You feel like you are staying with your Italian grandmother! She is a very sweet lady.

READ THIS REVIEW: this was 22 dollars a night of absolute nightmare. The rooms have ac but the old lady refuses to turn them on, my room was in the 90's one of the nights! We asked several times and she lied even after we had seen the ac remote that it would come on automatically. She stalks and stared at us anytime we were in the hostel and would scratch her ankles for 20 minutes at a time creating this horrible fleshy sound - regardless if we were in the room!! Men's room smelled like a toilet and several strange people live permenantly in the hostel, FIND A DIFFERENT HOSTEL THIS IS A NIGHTMARE

I've stayed at this hostel twice and enjoyed it each time. Basic accomodation as you'd expect from a hostel, but the location is unbeatable with it's proximity to the city centre.

Good hostel. Really central location, single beds, clean bathrooms, really nice personnel. She allowed us to leave our bags after we had checked out and in the evening we were also allowed to stay to charge our phones since we had to take the bus at 2AM.

Stayed here back in 2018.Big room with separate bathroom. Room is fine except a creepy old guy whom I believe the staff sneaking to our room during midnight (he got bunch of keys anyway) and thank God I was awake

Very well located and cheap. It could be cleaner, but the staff is very nice. Me and my friend had booked separately one bed each in shared rooms. We asked if we could stay in the same room when we arrived and they gave us a private 2-bed room.

It makes sense why I was the only one in the dorm room for 2/3 nights I stayed there, the property is disgustingly dirty (see pictures). There is black mold all over the bathroom ceiling (picture), no hand soap in the bathroom, and dead mosquitos and their blood all over the walls in the room (picture). The common area table that was upstairs seemed to have food grease and crumbs on it. The room I was in got very hot at night but the issue was there were a ton of mosquitos (living ones, not just the dead ones on the walls) and no mosquito net to keep them out if I wanted to open the window for a breeze. My first night I stayed there I woke up to the room door being left wide open by the staff (I know it was the staff because there was only one other person staying in the room that night and he was gone in the morning and new sheets had been put on his bed). The second night one of the women who worked there came into the room late night and seemed surprised that I was in the room and the only person there, she knocked and abruptly came in, it was a weird interaction. The next morning another staff member started to come in, realized I was there and left, and then someone else came in, again asked if I was the only one staying their, and left. It all seemed very weird that they didnt know who was in what room in their hostel. On my third day I spoke with the son who worked there about turning on the AC so I could keep the windows closed and do something about the mosquitos, he said yes. When I went back that night to have the AC turned on (only staff can turn it on and off) the father came down and started getting angry with me about my wanting to have the AC on. He said he would not turn on the AC for one person in a room, and also because it was my last night. Thankfully the son came down and helped, he gave me a plug in mosquito repellent to help and turned on the AC (thank you for that help)! Only positives, the location is good and the bed was comfortable. I left this place feeling gross and covered in bug bites. This is not someplace I would wish upon my enemy. My suggestion, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Had a really lovely experience in this hostel, so much so that I decided to stay an extra night in the city. I arrived into Florence feeling kind of unwell and in need of a nice space to sleep and I'm so glad to have happened upon this hostel, such a short walk from the train station, and from beautiful sites in the historical part. It was great to be able to sit out in the courtyard in the evening. Everyone who I met at the desk were so kind. Really good price for sharing a room with just one other person. Comfy beds and quiet corridors. No kitchen but there's a kettle and microwave. Highly recommended!
