This is the worst hostel I have ever slept in. It has great advertisement on the internet, but once you arrive you learn it was all a hoax. I had a reservation there for 10 days, but after only 2 I wanted to get out of there. My main problems with it where: - The hostel looks like an old hotel. Big building, long hallways without even a slight decoration. No "hostel" vibe at all. No good vibes, or people chilling like in others I've been. - The guys at the reception where not nice at all. They looker bored and unhelpful. More like bank employers than of a hostel. - My bedroom (deluxe suite) was really, and I emphasize, really small. There was not even a desktop. The water of my private bathroom was super cold and, when eventually came a little hot, it run out in less than 5 minutes. - All the common areas where empty, even at Saturday night. - Breakfast and dinner restaurant where closed. And, since the hostel doesn't have a kitchen (what hostel doesn't have a kitchen?), I strongly relied on that. - The "gym" or fitness area is closed most of the day. I couldn't even see it. - After deciding to leave, and asking for a refund for some of the days i wasn't going to be there, I was confronted by a huge bureaucracy of emails and phone calls, until they told me they where not going to give me a penny back. Not even a single night. My conclusion is that this is a malfunctioning Hotel that did not know how to make money so eventually they decided to call it a Hostel. There are other really good and "real" hostels out there in Florence. Do yourself a favor and stay out of this place. Regards.

I was completely amazed by the quality of my stay at Plus Florence at such a good price! I booked an all-female shared dormitory, but when I arrived it was two separate rooms with 2-3 beds each, so, much better for privacy. The room was super comfortable, with a clean private bathroom in the room, individual lockers (bring a lock! but they're also sold for 4 euros at reception), and a terrace accessible from the room! - Not sure if this was the case for every room/ dorm, maybe I was just lucky, but it was a nice surprise nevertheless. Every member of staff I met was very kind and helpful. A lot of facilities offered here also: a swimming pool, sauna, common room, laundry room, 24 hour reception, kitchenette, gym… And I believe these were all free to everyone staying at Plus Florence? Breakfast was on the slightly pricey end, but the breakfast buffet was worth all 9 euros, with all-you-can-eat croissants, surprisingly nice cakes, salami, cheese, scrambled eggs, cereal, coffee, juice and fresh fruit. However, it definitely seems to be a struggle for vegans, so my only suggestion to Plus would be to have more non-dairy options available at breakfast. If you are vegan (and especially if you are staying for more than one night), I would recommend getting a few cheap ingredients from a nearby grocery store and preparing your own vegan breakfast in the kitchenette for a more satisfying start in the morning. Overall, this was a really pleasant stay, and I'd absolutely recommend staying in Plus Florence to anyone visiting the city!

Staff is not very friendly, specially upon check in, they’ll ask you to come back because they are too busy. I can totally understand and can be reasonable, but they seem to be short staffed at all times, and the way they communicate shows you they are stressed. If you arrive at 2pm for check in, you will make a big line. This place is more like a hotel than a hostal. Rooms are well kept and very modern. Pool is nice, although you pay 1.50€ for a cap that you will throw away after. If you’re traveling solo, you might be lucky to have good roommates, otherwise there isn’t a place to connect with people other than the patio/pool. Price is low which is good but they could invest just a little in having friendlier staff which would make a big difference.

Located just 10 mins walk from train station and about the same time for access to all the tourist spots. Close enough to nip back for a break and rest before resuming tours. Double rooms was very clean and new. No complaints at all. Cleaning staff were regularly seen dusting and pushing carts to refresh rooms. Rooms have an air conditioner and also a radiator. Duvets provided during the colder seasons. Has 2 small pools one indoors and one outdoors. It as do has an outdoor seating and dinning area as well as a roof deck with further chairs and tables for relaxing. Excellent noise control. Everything went silent after 11pm as promised. Only different with a hotel is that you cannot consume food or drinks in the room (not drinks making facilities). There is a common room where kitchen facilities are available. Highly recommended.

𝗣𝗟𝗨𝗦 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 | 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 Superb hotel for an even better price in Florence. One night here after a party stumbled across the location simply by walking down the road. We saw the delightful swimming pool and decided to stop in for the night. Great location for a fair price. The air conditioning is a must in the summer months as it gets very warm and stays warm throughout the evening and nighttime. Great bars and nightlife local to plus. Superb for price. Local area is very nice with many good restaurants and bars open good times. Towels are completely free and many are provided in your room when you check in, shower was again delightful. Walking distance to so much more! All in all superb Location and swimming pool for £50 Highly recommended for a quick stop!

Location great. Beautiful and clean hostel. Rooftop is stunning. Only down points, the front desk staff. I get check in is rush hour but don't take your anger out of the guests. Wish they offered walking tours or more social events. Laundry is very expensive. No outlets in the bathrooms which was annoying. Breakfast was decent.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Good location about a 12 minute walk from the Florence main train station. Staff was friendly, all spoke English, good security, fantastic clean rooms, breakfast and dinner available for reasonable prices. They have a small indoor and a small outdoor pool, very small gym, sauna room. They have a bar on the ground floor and they mix great drinks for reasonable prices. They have a great deck on top of the hostel where you can hangout and make friends and you can see the cathedral. Mixture of young families, college age students, and a handful of older people like me. Fantastic place to stay for a reasonable price.

Good Hostel, okay as a hotel. The Plus Florence offer Hostel vibes with community space like roof top, shared pool, small gym and laundry and Hotel experience with room service. We were lucky that we arrived in a time where there was not a big groups checking in or out. So we did not need to wait. However because we did not arrive on the peak time the male staff on front desk seemed annoyed...understandable but still a bit unfortunate start for us in the beautiful city. The room was clean and since one of our travel companion fell out we had a additional bed which was also commented in a judgy tone by the staff. The shower head was loose and the toilet seat is oddly high and uncomfortable. But for the price and seeing it as a Hostel it was good. The location is quite far from the main attraction but it is still okay. You have supermarket around the corner and multiple restaurants. I would recommend it as a budget stay and for big groups.

Great hostel with amazing common spaces. Several terraces with great views, lovely pool with sauna (only 3-8pm though). Good kitchen. On-site restaurant. Very fast check-in and check-out. Comfy bed, generally respectful roommates. It's a converted hotel, so the dorms only have one bathroom and one shower per room, which is regrettable. Would 100% stay again.

I had a fantastic experience here! Rooms are modern, bathrooms lovely and clean and there is functioning air condition! There is a common room and other facilities to meet new people and hang out. Its location is absolutely fantastic too. Walking distance to literally anywhere in this beautiful city. Internet worked perfectly too which is a plus for us travellers! Staff were fantastic as well. Overall, a really great place that I’d recommend!

This is the most comfortable and spacious hostel (not hotel but among the hostel category) I’ve ever stayed. I rate it by all of the factors like friendly staffs, cleanliness, accessibility of necessities and convenient location. I stayed in the 6beds dormitory. I’ve stayed so many hostels in my life but usually the bed or the room in a dormitory doesn’t have so much space. Also the bathroom and shower room are normally downsides. However this hostel has the private bathroom and shower room both in the dormitory, and they are so clean. There was no one except me at the first night even tho there were many people staying, which have never happen to me in another hostels because usually they put people together to be easy. They have the common room, large roof top bar and breakfast cafe. I made some friends there. You can also use refrigerators and microwaves too. A towel, a dryer and a soap, you don’t have to be worried. You can use for free. (If you mind shampoo and conditioner, yes you need them. But you can get anything at the shop just close by.) Overall, I had a fantastic experience for just 25€ for one night. Thank you for your service, PLUS :)

We stayed at the hostal for three days and two nights while we were on an Erasmus trip and we really enjoyed our stay there! It's only 20 minutes walk from the center of Firenze and has a lot of restaurant, bars and even grocery stores near. The rooms were modern, practical and clean, with new towels each day and a duvet inside of each locker(one per person) in case we were cold during the night. About the bathroom, I think that it was really practical: the shower was separated from the WC and sink, so you don't take over the place when taking a shower. The restaurant was great and not too expensive; they have a nice exterior pool and terrace; the weakest part for me was the spa (for us it was just a covered pool with jets), but the sauna it's really cool!

Hostel was pretty but quite expensive for a hostel. The room was nice and good quality but what bothered me is that there are no lockers in the room so you can safely leave some stuff inside. Another thing is breakfast, which is not included in the price. I was disappointed because for that price I thought I will get at least breakfast in the morning. The best thing would probably be the location because it takes only 15 minutes by walking to the center.

Room was very nice for the price. And location was great. But all facilities were closed or out of order. Vending machines and chairs at the roof top - no bar. Outdoor pool closed. Indoor pool needs reservation. Laundromat out of order. Gym only cardio. Sauna out of order. 1 fridge to share with the entire hostel, which was obviously packed (no access to a kitchen). Didn't try the food, so no comment on that. For just a place to sleep it was satisfactory, but dont book for facilities.

My experience here was varied - some elements really impressed me, some shocked me. Their room was superb. It was really nice, 18 degree aircon, very modern bathroom, spacious area. That's where it stops. I used the washing machine, what a mistake. I paid 14.50 Euros for my clothes to be spun around a bit and come out of the machine wet. The staff were appalling. They tried to take half full drinks off my table twice. When they weren't doing this they were dropping pizzas, charging me 35 Euros instead of 7 and using their hands as a sieve to drain water out of my glass when making a cocktail. Plus Hostel also had false advertising. They advertised a swimming pool but turns out you need a 7 Euro swimming cap - WHY? And their free buffet was... you guessed it... not free. It was 4 Euros. I confronted staff with the flyer that said free and they had no response. Also don't stay on the 5th floor, the elevator takes about 4 minutes to come, and when it does it only holds 4 people and takes 4 minutes to get to the top. In conclusion, room good, everything else bad. *Edit, now in a new hostel that is much worse. I miss Plus Florence.

    - Make sure you check your receipt, I paid for the city tax in cash when I checked in and they charged me for it again while checking out, they game a receipt but it only included what I paid online in my reservation, in other words they charged me for it but didn’t log it in.. It was my fault for not noticing.. don’t let it happen to you..!! Besides that issue the place is really nice.. everyone kept saying it’s not a real hostel experience but I liked it. I got plenty of space, hot shower and a clean bed…

This was an excellent hostel and I've been to many. It feels more like a hotel stay than a hostel to be honest. Between the pool, full-scale restaurant (food was cheap and decent too), and modern/updated facilities it definitely didn't feel like the other hostels I've been to. I opted for a four bed mixed dorm and it was all women. I'm not sure if that was the luck of the draw or the kindness of the hostel staff, but either way it made for a pleasant surprise. Wifi is strong and reliable throughout the property. There are plenty of toilets and outlets as well. Definitely suitable for remote working if you need to while you're in Florence. It's also situated close to both the main tourist sites as well as the main train station. I would absolutely stay again.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hostel. Staff were rude upon check in and we encountered this several more times during our stay as well as witnessing it to other guests. For some reason the have the air conditioning shut down in the whole building, the rooms were extremely hot at night which made it very hard to sleep. The included breakfast was not included. The bars were closed, pool has limited hours and must be booked in advance and require a pool cap to use. Gym also isn’t really a gym. Rooms weren’t bad, and were clean, however only two outlets and not by the beds. Choose another option for your stay

Amazing place! I love how clean and professional everything is. And because of covid measures you have a lot of space in your room. My 6bed room had only three people in it. I was in the Main Building Really fast wifi.. I would definitely come back.

Windows don’t stop noise well. Also nor do the walls. 1/3 nights I didn’t sleep well but other than that it’s pretty much what you could expect from a hostel. I do like the waterfall as the sound is really soothing but let’s be honest the pool is kinda pointless as you need to wear a cap to go in... no one wants to do that 😅 it also opens way too late to be of any use. The decorations, throw ups on the stairwell and overall look are like they paid someone on fiver.com 10 euros to make them. The terrace is very nice although it really misses a bar or at least a food machine that takes card. Overall a 2/5 experience but a 3/5 hostel.

Great place, when I next come back to Florence I'll definitely be staying here again. The bedrooms are kept clean (tho not all guests are quite as tidy 😋) the premises are tidy and the staff are super helpful and it's pretty close to the town center and train station. I would recommend. I have not visited the bar or restaurant yet but I plan on using the swimming pool soon. The bunk and solo beds all come with their own light and place to charge/store tech and the lockers just need a padlock (which if you don't bring your own you can buy from reception) As I saw people asking, you get a towel with the bed, and it's an added bonus (in my opinion) that it's replaced every day.

The place is a good and cheap option for 1-2 nights, the breakfast is good. Also cool terrace and the hostel has it is own pool. The negatives- some windows facing the busy streets, so it can be noisy and hard to sleep. The rooms and the pool a little bit old, can use some renovation

this is a cute hostel that provides services no less than (if not better) many hotels. I immensely enjoyed my 3-week-long stay in here. Fantastic view opens up to the Duomo from the terrace. Further, I would like to highlight their separate female & male as well as mixed dormitory options. Rooms are always clean 🧼 Best,

Overall a very comfortable stay. I stayed here 4 nights. Rooms and common areas are very clean. There was a variety of breakfast options. The pool and sauna were a big plus. More of a hotel vibe as not so social especially for solo travellers. My only criticisms were that they need hooks in the bathroom for towels/ to hang clothes as you have to put your clothes on the floor which is unhygienic. And the common room/ kitchen closes early so you are unable to access the fridge and your food after certain hours.

Plus Florence is a value for money place for all kind of tourist. While it’s a hostel but the rooms are better than family rooms we have been to in Italy. Location is good as it’s 10 mins from Florence Santa Maria novella station still not too busy. Room size was very good with locker facilities in room and bright and clean washroom. Services was good too as the room was cleaned and new towels given everyday. Bathroom accessories like soap and shower gel were of good quality and water in shower was warm with good speed. Extra duvet was available too. The kitchen has kettle and refrigerator and option to warm food in microwave. Receptionist was very kind to give me an extra key when I was locked out. Kids had fun in the temperature controlled swimming pool which starts at 4pm up to 8 pm and I saw people using gym too. There was a pool table too but I did not use it. I did not use the breakfast facility but I was told by my friend that the breakfast was good with good spread of confectionaries and good cereals and has vegan/ vegetarian options.

This is a huge hostel, I've stayed in hotels smaller than this place. Great open area with a bar for socializing. Didn't eat here. Rooms had separate shower and toilet making it easier to share. I was very surprised with how comfortable the mattress was; better than what I slept on in Milano.

My friend and I recently stayed at PLUS Florence hostel in Florence, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. We shared a room, which was clean and comfortable, offering a decent level of privacy. One highlight of the hostel was its small pool, a refreshing oasis in the heart of the city, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff at the reception added to the positive vibe of the place, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. While the hostel's common kitchen was convenient for preparing our meals, and the breakfast was nice, we did find the overall cost to be slightly on the higher side. However, considering the great location and the amenities offered, this can be seen as an investment in a pleasant and hassle-free stay in Florence. So, if you're willing to stretch your budget a bit for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, PLUS Florence is a solid choice.

Stayed here for my first ever trip to Florence as an art student. Great memories of a great city. Cheap boarding and great hostel. Breakfast was good too, although I didn't have it every morning because I wanted to be up and out all day. Good memories. Hope to be back soon.

This hostel was perfect! I stayed in a 5 person room and was thankful to end up with all girls. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The hostel was very big with lots of people/ things to do. Location was perfect. Would totally return!

Amazing value for this hostel. It was clean and I found the 6 bed mixed room to be spacious. Free towel and complementary soaps. Laundry room in the building was convenient. Walking distance to most tourist sites. Will be staying here every time I come to Florence.

Great option for a great price in Florence! Biggest perk is the outdoor pool which is quite clean considering it’s a hostel. Be prepared, though, for a very hot room. They are stingy on the AC and set the rooms to 24 C. I suggest sleeping with a wet towel to keep yourself cool.

Lovely hostel with great bathrooms and bed. Sadly, guests are not monitored, and a bunch of 18 year olds were running around for hours, yelling and screaming and running into other people rooms. None of the staff seemed to notice despite being able to hear them 3 levels down. I dont mind a party hostel vibe, but for a Monday night, this place was beyond a joke.

  • 3/5 Nikkita S. 4 months ago on Google
Staff are great, friendly and accomodating. Cleanliness of the room was great but only one bathroom for an 8 bed dorm which wasn’t cleaned regularly enough meant the bathroom was always messy/smelly. Also a wait for the shower each morning and night. Lockers only lock with a large padlock (flexi locks don’t work) so most people couldn’t lock their lockers. Lockers are a good size and fit large backpacks. Location is good although not right in the city but walkable into the main sites and the train station.

Fantastic place, location is good. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We were attended by a fantastic receptionst Luciana who was very helpful at the desk, big thanks to you! The pool is small but just what you need, the sauna is great, the rooms are very clean, they extra shower gel if you need. The pressure in showers was great. Worth every penny and a great experience!

I had a wonderful stay at Plus Florence. The rooftop has an amazing view of the Duomo and an array of seating options - from hammocks, sun loungers, and couches. The swimming pool was super refreshing but not in a very sunny spot to sunbathe. Rooms very clean and basic, only downside is the bathroom is very small and there is no mini fridge.

got a private room without paying extra with the people i was travelling with because of covid! no free breakfast or kitchen so that is something to consider. not far from the center but not inside it either. the rooftop terrace is where people went to meet and drink until the staff shut it down, but then you just go out to the bars or whatever after that. i think that there was a gym and pool but didn't use it

Bicycle tourist here. Your bicycle can go outside in a gated area. You can lock it to a floor rack or railing. It seemed pretty safe. Good hostel. Kinda of a mix between a hostel and hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Spacious room, nice beds (2-person-room). Shower-entrance pretty small. And showerwater was just below my 'favourite' temperature. Difficulty with parking (hostel has limited amount of places, parking-garage they recommended instead was full, no more entry allowed. So parking was a hassle. 'Kitchen' is a microwave, waterkettle and 3 fridges. Doesn't count as a kitchen in my opinion. (No cooking with pans possible, and no oven). Also closes in the evening, so can't get anything out of the fridge then.

Great hostel! Rooms and toilets are super clean, the beds and shower were perfect. They have a nice rooftop terrace and there is a small pool. It's very very big hostel (800 beds), so if you're looking for something more cosy than I would recommend you to look for another place to stay.

Got a private room with my mom & daughter. At first I was a little timid but we are very happy here. Clean rooms & common areas. Btw, great terrace & pool area with a waterfalls. Oh, the beds & air conditioning were perfect. Even the washers & dryers were actually almost as big as American ones which made for a perfect wash. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Finding a affordable place in Firenze is hard! This hotel/hostel is fairly priced and it's not really too far from Il Duomo (min. 15 minutes) and even closer if you want to visit the David! Facilities are great (pool and rooftop are impressive for a hostel) and everything is clean and made sure it stays that way by its friendly staff!

I stayed in a 6 bunk bed mixed dorm. It was my first hostel experience and I chose it purely based on the reviews I read before booking. I would say I was satisfied and nothing to complain except the fact about check-in. They let you check in 2.30pm and check out at 10am. It’s so weird because of the gap in hours. The queues are awfully long by then. Felt this could be organised much better. However they have a luggage room where they let you keep your bags for free before your check in. After you have checked out you’ll pay 3€ per person irrespective of the hours. Bonus points; they provide towels, toiletries and have an in house bar, restaurant, pool and an amazing rooftop with a lil bit of duomo view.

I was concerned about bad reviews before staying but actually it was a very comfortable stay. Towels were free and right on the bed when you came. Shower was the best shower that I saw so far. It was not small. Beds were comfy but there were no privacy in the beds. There is no stove in the hostel only microwave and fridge. Staff were OK. Location is perfect. Walking distance to many attractions.

Beds and rooms overall were great, we were lucky enough to share with some lovely people. Sadly we waited nearly 2 hours to check in!! Very manic reception when it comes to checking in. Location was good. If u want to go in pool (indoor or outdoor) you have to wear a swimming cap and flip flops- which they will charge u for if u don’t have. Kitchen had a microwave and fridge.

value for money. the rooms are small not really much space to move around. we were in a 4 beds bedroom pretty tight. good side is that the rooms are bathrooms are super clean. they give you towels which many hostels won't, soap and shower gel that is replaced every day. big plus! downside: walls are thin so it is pretty noicy at least ground floor where we were. also no kitchen so you're forced to eat out but for me the worse was the check in. we left our bags and came back sharp check in time and had to wait in line for 1hs 🤦🏼‍♀️

  • 2/5 Lee L. 1 year ago on Google
Hostel staff polite and very laid back… Check in takes a long time, when we arrived had to wait about 40 minutes. Stayed in a 2 person room. Bed was comfortable and had a decent shower. Not too far from the attractions and plenty of food and bars near by. The place had good WiFi and a small pool and chill out area, you need a swim Cap to use pool which is available at reception. The bar can get quite busy. Overall the place is good with a decent mixture of young travellers, families, priests and couples. Worth the money but don’t expect the ritz. There was air con but it was the loudest I’ve ever heard and hardly produced any cold air. Our unit decided to start clicking and banging in the middle of the night. We were based on the top floor in building B (6th floor) it was ridiculously hot and the lifts are small and slow, and didn’t work a few times. This feels like a budget hostel.

  • 5/5 Jonathon M. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms were great; clean and tidy. Beds weren't squeaky like some other hostels. Bar had good prices and hostel had a great vibe. Despite long check in times it was more than understandable considering the number of people staying. Only negative was the shower was open to the rest of the bathroom; making water splash outside.

As a solo traveller, I found this hostel had lots of potential for a social atmosphere (ground floor bar and beautiful rooftop Terrance) but meeting people was incredibly hard! Most places were empty with very few and no social events provided. The rooms were very clean, towels and linens provided, but the kitchen does not include a stove or oven, only a microwave with cutlery and plates, etc. Overall I would recommend it for a family or a close to hotel experience.

  • 4/5 Milena 1 year ago on Google
I stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was great. Relatively quiet, clean and well equipped. The separate shower and toilet rooms were nice. The bar is a good place to meet new people, but don't expect a party since most people just sit there and drink. The location is not too far from the centro and a supermarket and restaurants are easily available nearby. The terrace was really stunning, but beware of creepy men sometimes and early closing time.

Fantastic hostel in a spot that's not too far out of the way. Florence is a very walkable city so this hostel being sort of out of the way was not a problem at all, from the train station it's an easy 15 min walk. The staff was very helpful throughout my stay, the laundry room was very easy to use, and the rooms were as good as Hostels get. Loved it would come again.

Stayed there for a week, which according to the staff was quite an extensive booking for this hostel. Located nicely in walking distance to the main station, Mercato Centrale and a lot of known attractions, we had the good fortune to get a really nice room (no. 424) with a private balcony viewing the dome on request at check-in (the staff was really helpful). The roof terrace is worth a visit, we did not use the pool. All in all, a good clean room and bathroom on a quiet floor. A couple of convenient outlets would be nice, also our room key stopped working once. Still recommended without hesitation.

This is by far is the least comfortable accommodation in my entire traveling experience (actually the worst) checking in is efficient however the guy in the front desk is not the nicest. We stayed in Building B and the elevator is slow. The rooms are not sound proof. You can literally hearing the noise from outside. the room size is decent but there are only outlet and placed on strange area of the room. 2 days we were there, the air condition unit is not working and the reception said that its broken and they cant do anything about it. We asked for atleast a fan because it is literally very hot! And they said they do not have one. So we decided to open the window because its getting suffocatingly hot! But then, the mosquitoes came in and bitten us through the night. We barely slept for 2 days. I do not recommend this place. Just pay for more somewhere else.
