This is an amazing tour. A wonderful young lady launched a website and does tours for free. The tour is better than most paid tours. She has such a great knowledge of the city and history of the place and the people that lived there. She even spent some of her on money to turn on lights and sends dining reservations. Remember she works entirely for tips and I assure you she is worth far more than she gets. I can't recommend this tour enough!

This tour is a great way to start your trip in Florence : you will get to better understand the historical context the city developed in, and therefore better understand the works of art you'll get to see. Aida is very nice and shares all her knowledge with passion. We highly recommend!

We went on a tour with Aida and we’re beyond blown away by the experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable of art history, the city of Florence and it’s vast history it basically felt like a tour with the city’s biggest fan. During our stay at Florence we participated in other free walking tours, but this one totally takes the cake. After a two day stay I can say this tour made me feel like I truly understand the why Florence is an important and great city. If you wish to truly experience the city’s culture, history and great minds, I’d recommend this tour in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Florence Medici walking tour with Jacamore. He has good insights and knowledge that brings out the most interesting facts and stories behind the Medici family and their reign in Florence. We learned a lot about how the Catholic Church in Rome competed with Florence and how the best artists like Michaelangelo and Leonardo were seconded to Rome for the building of Basilica and Sistine Chapel. The tour was good pace and had a stop in between to allow for a short break for coffee and restrooms. He also recommended some of the places to eat as well as museums to visit. For those visiting Florence on a short time frame, the tour is a good orientation to the history of the city.

From the moment our tour began, it was clear we were in for an exceptional experience, and all of that is thanks to Aida. Her knowledge of Florence and its rich history is unparalleled. Most landmark, sculptures, and paintings were given context, allowing us to see the city through the eyes of the artists and visionaries who shaped it. What truly set this tour apart was the care and dedication of Aida. She went above and beyond, not just in terms of the tour’s duration, but in the depth of information, attention to detail, and her genuine enthusiasm for sharing the beauty of Florence with us. Her passion was infectious, making each moment more memorable than the last. Moreover, her willingness to take extra time to ensure we had a comprehensive understanding of Florence’s historical and cultural significance was truly commendable. She answered every question with patience and depth. Florence was made all the more special by a guide whose expertise and kindness left an indelible mark on our trip. To anyone wishing to discover Florence, do yourself a favor and embark on this tour. It’s more than just a sightseeing experience; it’s a deep dive into the heart and soul of one of Italy’s most enchanting cities, led by someone who represents the best of what it means to be a guide. Thank you for an unforgettable day Aida and I hope to see you again!!

Me and my wife were visiting Florence for the first time. We got Aida as our guide for this private free walking tour, and we had an EXTREMELY GREAT time! This was unlike any other free walking tour we've ever had (and we've been to quite a few). Aida has a degree in the History of Art, and her vast knowledge really makes this tour very unique. She went out of her way to make sure we knew every piece of the history of Florence and did this in a super friendly and non intimidating way. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to join these tours that take place in small groups.

I had such a great experience on the 2 free walking tours I went on. They were both really engaging and informative, perfect for if you want to used to the city and understand the story behind the amazing architecture. It was really animated for me which I loved. I also think it's brilliant that they are still going during 'quiet season' as well. On top of all that the lady gave me tips of good places to eat and drink depending on my preference. Really would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic walking tour! Filled with interesting information delicately balanced between people, history and architecture. We did both, the morning and afternoon tour to cover both the north and south of the city. Our guide Elisabetta was a blast and made sure we had a lovely time! No need to mention that Firenze is a fascinating city but the walking tour really distilled the essence of the city and fed it to us in well-digestible portions. Go on La Bussola! Good on ya!

My wife and I did a morning Medici tour with Aida. It was superb she is extremely knowledgeable, educated and brought the history of Florence alive. She has a very pleasant and friendly manner and showed us some off the beaten track sites. Quite simply the best and enjoyable tour we have done. Don’t miss it. She deserves every bit of the gratuity we gave her.

Simply awesome. Debbie was fantastic and her knowledge about the city was so impressive. Her energy and inflections were fresh and did not sound like she was just repeating something she memorized. We did the morning tour and came back the next day and took the afternoon tour. The information given was so valuable and Debbie even gave us tips on restaurants in the area to try. We tried most of her suggestions and they were all great. If you are in the area looking for a tour do not pass this up.

We did the morning tour (Medici) this morning. It was very interesting and we learned a lot of details about the medici family, their life and influence to Florence and Tuscany. Our guide Eleonora explained with knowledge and enthusiasm about the development of her hometown and gave us a lot of tipps also beside the main attractions. I can recommend this Tour to everyone.

I had the pleasure of attending both the morning and evening tours, led by Eleanora. Eleanora is a wonderful guide - she is extremely knowledgeable about Florence history and art, and she is very engaging. I didn’t realise how much time had passed because the tour was so interesting and enjoyable. I’ve attended numerous walking tours in Europe and these were two of the best! The morning and evening tours cover completely different areas and history so definitely attend both to get a more in-depth introduction to Florence.

Highlight of my time in Florence! I have visited this city many times by bringing my foreign friends. Decided to do something new and took this morning English free tour. Elisabetta shared so many new information that i didn't know ( ex, where the Jewish ghetto use to be and showed the Evolution of catholic Florentine church). She was able to give an excellent tour of the history of the city of the rise and fall of the Medici family. She also gave good recommendation for where to get a spritz, honest price leather products and restaurant. I will be asking for Elisabetta next time I come back:)

Amazing tour, Elisabetta is incredibly knowledgeable, funny and a pleasure to listen to for a couple of hours! We did the 10:30am walking tour in Florence about the Medici family, it ended up being quite an intimate tour with 6 of us taking part, but regardless it was really interesting- a cohesive story which whet the appetite for exploring the rest of the trip. Highly highly recommended

Had a great tour with Elizabeth this morning. Learned so much about Florence and the infamous Medicci family. Elizabeth gave us some good tips on where and what to eat while visiting beautiful Florence. I highly recommend taking a walking tour when you 1st arrive here. It will help you get oriented and also give you a good deal of historical background to help you understand all the places will will either visit or simply walk past in this amazing city.

Joined the Medici Tour with Andrea and City Center Tour with Eleonora. They were informative and gave me an excellent understanding on the highlights of Florence. Eleonora even gave us a food list of yummy food to eat in Florence! Thank you for the experience! The city is just too beautiful! Book a tour with them to better understand the city on your feet! :)

We did the morning tour with Elizabeth. The 3 hours passed super fast as she was super captivating and full of interesting stories about the Medici family that you would never notice yourself discovering the city on your own. Can’t recommend enough . We loved it

I took this tour last week Tuesday, in Firenze. There were a lot of tourists so we were separated into three groups. I was very pleased with our guide - Elisabetta Carraro. She gave us key history points in an entertaining and clear voice. The tour lasted about 3.5 hours including a 20 minute break but didn't feel long at all. Thank you to Elisabetta for your knowledge and great personality! Also for the insider tips that you gave us at the end of the tour xoxo :-)

We went on both tours during our stay in beautiful Florence. Both were quite informative and gave a good overview of the city and it's history. Special thanks go out to our guides Elisabetta and Andrea. Both did a great job and it was a pleasure following them around the city center and listen to their different stories. We would definitely recommend to book this tours to discover Florence.

Aida provided absolutely excellent tours of Florence. We learned much more about the city’s history at both the morning and afternoon tours (we did them different days). Her knowledge and experience provided a personable and rich experience delving into the great artists and architects from Florence’s history AND also provided great places to view key sights, sit down and eat the best meals, taste the best gelato (no lie) and shop for the best goods Florence has to showcase. I was happily surprised by how much her guidance provided. Thank you Aida!!!

What an amazing experience! We did the afternoon tour with Aida. She was so knowledgeable, fun, and took very good care of us during the three hours we had together. We were very fortunate to learn from her background in art history, languages and culture throughout this tour and have a much better understanding of Florence and the Renaissance. Highly recommend!!

👍👍 Paul was such a wealth of knowledge and full of life! We loved our private tour in Florence. It was less like a lecture and more like a conversation. Paul has a fantastic way of keeping everyone involved in the dialog. I wish we had had twice the time to dive even deeper. What a special experience....
