They requested that I leave a review, so I do so, albeit with some hesitation. I arrived in Florence with a cracked crown and they were very kind in seeing me, extremely quick and accommodating. The office was clean, and their staff was always kind, communicative, and reassuring, for which I am grateful. They were patient when I was indecisive (they convinced me that in paying more for a root canal, I would avoid future pain and sensitivity in the damaged area, and I did ultimately opt to do so, for a total of €1300). Fitting the crown was difficult, as I suspect is the norm, but at some point it seems they nicked on one of my neighboring teeth (or, hopefully, perhaps they left a dab of cement that remains there after over a month), and it required 3-4 different visits to adjust it. Anyway, the crown remained high enough where my other teeth wouldn't touch when I closed my mouth, which was so maddening. The dentist seemed like she didn't really believe me, and I left each time thinking, "OK, maybe I'm just being too sensitive and I'll get used to it." Finally, upon my last visit, the "main" dentist took over with great fanfare, and he was much more thorough, even polishing the surface of the crown, which made it much more comfortable in my mouth (which, by the way, I'm surprised the other dentist never did). Unfortunately, while the fit is better than before, it still does stick out every-so-slightly when I close my mouth, and now hurts when I eat. I'm hoping eventually I will get used to it and the soreness will go away, and I know that they would offer to try to help adjust it again, but after so many tries I just don't see the point anymore. Perhaps I should have articulated myself better when I was there -- I guess it speaks to the limitations of my Italian, or to me not wanting to complain too much -- but at this point after two months, my time in Italy is ending, and will have to visit my old dentist in the USA to see what's up. I wish I didn't have to do so, as it's going to end up costing much more in time and money in the long run, but that was the risk I took. Anyway, I hate to leave a negative review, but that's where I stand now.

So when I had to find one in Florence, I was quite terrified. When I arrived I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was, I felt at a hotel lobby. I remember my first day, while I was in the waiting lounge, the doctor stepped out for a moment, and offered me a coffee (which he made himself for me). And that was just the first impression. We then sat to discuss the solution for my chipped tooth, and I was even more impressed. I had never had such a thorough evaluation. He even discovered a slight deterioration in my jaw bone, which also had to be attended. After arriving at the proper solutions, we began the process. Little did I know, it would take months. And why? because PERFECTION is what Dr. Paolo Orlando upholds above all, resulting in the best work precision, advanced technology equipment, attention to detail, availability, service, and kindliness that I have experienced in my life. i had an unexpected pain in my tooth and i was very scared to see a dentist in a foreign country. I got the most wonderful, patient, professional service. Dr. Paolo kept calming me during the treatment, and the staff was so caring and called me after a few houres to check on me. I would recomend to everyone who needs it.

I’m not a fan of the Dentist but I love this place! They fixed my broken tooth on the same day in an emergency, translated everything into English, provided me with enough paperwork for insurance, and made me feel well looked after. The work is of a high quality, the team are friendly and efficient, the space has parking, is clean, and easy to find. I don’t recommend you damage your teeth just for an excuse to visit, but if it does happen, then this is the place for me!

I had a highly inflamed tooth while on vacation in Florence, which was preventing me from eating (a tragedy in Florence!). I was worried I might have an abscess, because things were just getting worse with time. I had read reviews and decided to come to Dental Factor. They were very understanding and helpful with my lack of Italian and were able to work me in for an emergency appt within mins. They offered recommendations and solutions for me, in my situation. Even translating the invoice, so I can try to get reimbursement from my insurance company in the US. Though, my total cost for exam and x-rays was only slightly more than my copays back home anyway. And, with the state of the art technology, to I feel like I recieved better care here than home! Thank you to the staff here!

Kind, helpfull and proffesional staff. I was on vacation in Florence when a piece of my tooth broke of. I first tried calling the densists in my area(Santa Maria Novella station) but they either hung up because they didnt speak english or didnt have an emergency appointment, so I called dental factor who was very friendly and easy to communicate with. They had an appointment within a day for me. Also they were openminded, efficient, fun and helpfull fullfilling information needed for the insurance. Dont bother calling any other dentists, I will go to Dental Factor if I ever need a densist in Florence again. So worth the 30 min walk from the main station.

We had an emergency whilst we were travelling Italy. It was for both myself, pain & broken tooth, and my wife, pain, infection and possible crown. They booked us in as an emergency and were able to complete the work. Filling for me & tooth removal and implant for my wife. Crown will be inserted when we get back home. They speak English, which made things so much easier & explained the process. They were so professional, friendly, with minimal or no pain, and completed the work whilst we were in Florence. Dental Factor office in Florence is wonderful. I contacted them when my crown came off while vacationing in Florence for 2 weeks. Stefana spoke English as well as a dentist on staff. I got xrays to send back to my dentist in USA and they were able to temporarily cement my crown back on till I could see my dentist stateside. Desperately needed urgent dental evaluation and management - Dental Factor immediately accommodated me for the very next morning and allowed me to reschedule to the afternoon. Two dentists expertly assessed my extremely painful condition and used fundamental clinical techniques that not even the dentist took the time to do at the highly ranked Ivy League academic dental center in Boston which I visited just three weeks prior. I left with a full report to be emailed to me with confidence that my situation was assessed, unlike the conclusion drawn at my dental appointment stateside - which was simply “observe and monitor” (insufficient for intermittent throbbing 10/10 pain) because he couldn’t see anything on X-ray and didn’t bother to take the further diagnostic steps that the Italian dentists did. They also did not push any unnecessary procedures like my past experiences with some US dentists. Excellent experience and I highly recommend coming here if you’re traveling through Italy or staying here for any length of time. In fact I would have absolutely gotten my definitive procedure completed here if it weren’t for the fact that I was leaving early the next morning.

I am an American student studying here in Florence and had to get an emergency dental treatment for my tooth. The staff and service were amazing here and accommodated to me well. They saw me almost immediately after I made an initial appointment and everything they did was quick and efficient. I was given a step by step plan of everything that was going to be done and the cost of it all upfront. I was nervous coming here at first, but the receptionist and staff were super helpful and eased my anxieties. I recommend 10/10 coming here!
