Beautiful, panoramic but decadent, in a state of abandonment, especially the viewpoint and the staircase leading down to Via dei Ceci would need careful and serious maintenance, the same thing for the public and private green areas, unfortunately their usability is limited. A real shame because the view over the city is very beautiful.

From the square you can see the entire skyline of Florence and its surroundings. The square is beautiful with the monument to Desiderio da Settignano in the centre. It's a shame that it has become a car park and that the Municipality does not carry out adequate maintenance.

Very quiet place with a statue of the Renaissance sculptor Desiderio da Settignano in the center who gives the square its name. From the wall you can enjoy a beautiful view of Florence. Furthermore, looking from the south you can see the Chianti hills up to Mount Serra and the Pistoia mountains to the north in the distance. In my opinion a much more interesting panorama than the one seen from Piazzale Michelangelo. Definitely worth trying!

It's a splendid place. Breathtaking terrace overlooking the Florentine panorama. It feels like touching the Dome. Then cypresses, olive trees. Spectacular sunsets. Too bad it's all unsafe. Enchanting place very neglected by the public administration😞

Freed from the car park (which should be somewhere else, more spacious) it would be lovely.
