Worst carbonara ever. The pasta is boiled too long and dull. No taste. Not salty or anything. I regret that I spent money for it.

One of the worst foods I have had in France. My burger was burnt, dry and bitter and friends tartare was cooked by the fries they put on the side.

Terrible Dining Experience at La Taverne I recently dined at La Taverne, and it was a disaster. The food was uninspired, and the service was excruciatingly slow. We endured a long waiting time with no sign of improvement. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant for a more satisfying dining experience elsewhere.

Sorry guys, our evening was wasted with mediocre food and unpleasant red Bordeaux, service is nothing to write home about. Your salades need fresher fish, better presentation and not drenched in salad cream. Red Bordeaux was horrible

One of the worst meal in this area. We took two plates with meat.. both were cold! The quality of meat very weak: we took magret de canard and bavette and we were disappointed. French fries very oily and seems like made twice for refreshments (or maby oil old...?) Desert called banana tiramisu is a ... cream with banana in fact. Nothing to do with tiramisu.

Really average food. The rosé we had tasted watery. Server was very nice and helpful, a warm welcome from the staff. Just not great food.

"on est pas à Barbès ici" (we're not in Barbès here): the response I received when I politely asked the server if instead of an entree, I could ask for a coffee (cheaper element on the menu). The food was decent, but the portions were too big (especially the Calzone, which was 2x too big), few of us managed to finish our meals. But it is the only restaurant in the area with affordable prices.

Very nice food and quick service. The service was nice, also. Prices are OK, considering the food quality. Oh, and something that, for me, is a BIG plus: pets are allowed.

Great place in the heart of town and the best burger and chips I've had in a while.

We arrived in Fontainebleau, planning to get a picnic at the outdoor marche. However, since we arrived at 3 pm on Easter Sunday, I looked around with a sinking feeling and realized everything was pretty much closed. Duh, poor planning on my part, and I had a hangry 12 year old with me. Imagine my gratitude to stumble across La Taverne, which was open, cheerful, clean, comfortable, and enthusiastically welcoming. The food isn’t spectacular, and it’s clearly a tourist spot, with a lunch menu of international comfort food, but my kid was quite happy with her pizza (fresh and tasty), and my salad with warm goat cheese (chèvre chaud) was fresh and very good. The bread was fresh and delicious. In the States, everyone would rave about this place, but in France, where the food bar is high, it’s fare is so-so. Still, it’s a great place to stop and fuel up before or after visiting the chateau, particularly for families. Full bar, but more like a modern restaurant ambience than a bar.

I think if you want something easy, with a bit of casual but lively ambiance this could do the job. There are often lots of people but you can still maintain a conversation as the voices don't carry enough to drown out your own. I have been twice and both times found the food to be okay. It was fine, but nothing spectacular and the prices are fair.

Very big, rich and tasty pizza and cazar salad.

Nice spot for a quick lunch or drinks. The food is good, the service was quick and the waiter helped in English when our French let us down. It's not somewhere for a romantic dinner but for catching a quick and reasonable price meal I'd recommend it! They serve burgers, steaks, standard array of French salads, and normal french bar food. The dessert menu is huge with crêpes, waffles, ice cream, Sundays, and cakes.

Really tasty burgers, super fresh mussels, friendly service, easy atmosphere.

Average place, has room for improvement but not a bad experience overall.

Wonderful food. Good value for money. Excellent staff. Cannot fault it in any way.
