😠 I have been to many gyms in Europe, but for a gym this "famous", disappointing. Expensive, no proper dedicated and seperated training área. The matts are old and super soft. In gernal a very "functional" (if not to say ugly) place, no nice area to sit and relax or socialise. mediocre air quality. Wa... People often mention climbing, bouldering, nice, good, climb, area, setting,

I have been to many gyms in Europe, but for a gym this "famous", disappointing. Expensive, no proper dedicated and seperated training área. The matts are old and super soft. In gernal a very "functional" (if not to say ugly) place, no nice area to sit and relax or socialise. mediocre air quality. Way below average compared to a standard climbing/bouldering gym. Good if you just want to get some climbing in, but nothing more.

The karma gym was a lovely treat while it was raining in Bleau. I had come here for the legendary, rock but this plastic didn't let me down. The facility is large and has fun climbs that allowed for interesting movements that are sometimes not experienced at other gyms. I never felt like I was climbing a ladder! It was also impressive to take a loot at the world cup room where the French National Team practices. I didn't attempt any because they are lit of my pay grade. However I climbed with a friend from the Holland team and he said that the sets were quality and that hill need to start working these styles again before the season starts. They have an impressive spray wall. 10mm campus board (if your looking for that sort of thing). Lots of really nice sets and a lot of very nice, well cleaned, dual textured holds and volumes. No one comes to Font to climb indoors, however if it rains you have to climb and Karma provides the perfect solution. Whilst not a large wall, it boasts excellent setting for all levels. The setting is managed by the legendary Jacky Godoffe and team and covers approximately 100-150 problems and 100 routes for lead, top rope and auto belay. The training facilities are sufficient and well thought out. If you're waiting for the forest to dry, this is a valuable option.

The rain made it impossible to boulder outside so the gym it was. At first I was a bit shocked by the entrance fee, €14,50... for just bouldering. Then we went to the gym to discover that there were less boulders than expected, maybe 25. We checked and this was due to a past competition, which made it interesting again, after all we came to Bleau to climb challenging new problems. What better way to replace this with competition style boulders set by the route-setting team of Karma. We climbed for over 3 hours and had much fun doing the problems! When we got hungry we discovered that Karma offered only Clifbars.. disappointment again. So to sum it up: Great climbing! this is what we came here for, nevertheless the entrance fee for just bouldering should be lower and something more on the menu would be nice too.

Easy crash pad rental and then 20 min walk to Rocher d'Avon.

Brilliant place. Was great as an alternative for our 10 day trip in Fontainebleau when it rained. Friendly staff and group of climbers.

Good prices for crashpads and nice and understanding employees. If you don't want to climb and just shower, you can do that for 2€.

Extremely good place for bouldering with a variety of holds and for different levels. They don't mention which exact level it is (e.g. 6a, 7a, ...) but it's still good to see the levels of gradual increase in difficulty. The people at the reception were also super friendly and were gracious to speak English because of my broken French. They were also nice enough to tell me that the place was open for only one and a half hours when I arrived just so that it's not a surprise to me when they announce that the place is closing for the evening. Very friendly people at the bouldering hall as usual. The price is a bit steep but it's worth paying it for the boulder problems especially if you get a 10-turn card. I'd really recommend this place.

The pros: very conveniently located in the Fontainebleau, a bouldering area, auto belays and lead routes. The cons: actually not so big especially if one of the area is closed off, no warming up area, limited gym, very pricey.

Not the option of 1 month subscription, only 3 months, or the ever-overpriced 10 pass card. They do it during summer, but not in winter, when conditions are usually bad. When did climbing became a over-bureaucratic business? Also, I went one day just to ask, the employee told me it was probably fine to do the one month thing, then came back another day, cash in hand, the other guys said “no, come later, when the manager is in”, manager then also said no. I drove three times back and forth, didn’t climb once. Also, it looked real packed during a rainy day. Real packed. You would think if they’re doing this good, they’d be more flexible when it comes to subscriptions. Or maybe they’re doing so well with tourists and birthday parties that they don’t care about climbers anymore.

Plenty of bouldering problems, easy sign in even as new to the gym, parking on site and facilities are good. Lots of lead climbing, though we would have liked to have seen some top-ropes. Was very busy when we went but then it was a rainy day in Font!

Extremely overcrowded during rainy day. You have to wait in line for a chance to climb. Also bad balance between price and quality - boring and very similar routes, industrial and unheated changing room, no chance to buy something to drink or eat... I feel that the owner take advantage of being the only gym in the forest.

Rented 2 very good quality pads for 11 days for a reasonable price. Bouldered at Karma on one wet day. Very good route setting and very nice holds. Staff very friendly.

We rented crash pads here and they were not very good. Very old and almost dangerously soft. I don't have any comment on the gym itself.

About half of the bouldering area (the interesting comp area) was closed to the general public for 3 days without any notice. We only realized after having payed the quite expensive entry fee. Their Facebook said nothing, the staff at the entrance failed to mention and there was no sign anywhere. It's something you just don't do if you hope to see customers again. Setting seems ok but the place could definitely use a bistro/cafe-area. It's not very inviting to just stay and hang out a bit. Next time it's to wet to climb we'll go hiking instead.
