Had a weekend dinner here and ordered Pork Rib Tamales, Pork Tacos, Grilled New Orleans Oysters, and Chocolate Pie. I'm really impressed with the menu options in that most items are unique. We liked all the food flavors. If you like trying new dishes, I recommend this place. They have a lot of outdoor seating and it was packed. They had a live band and you can step right out to trails beside the Trinity River to walk off your meal.

At first we sat there for a good 20 min before we had to ask the host who our server was. The guy who took over our table was awesome! The fish dip appetizer was good ! I had the prime rib tacos for dinner , it was way to salty. The drinks were decent. It’s a little high priced. But I loved the atmosphere.

Beautiful location. Rustic but clean. The traditional BBQ was excellent with friendly service. Ramen was too rich for my taste, but the pinch buns were wonderful. Broccoli sprouts too were awesome. Looking forward to coming back to try everything else 😃

Good food, great outside seating, food a bit pricey & everything is a la cart. There are so many things to try so you have have to make multiple trips. Parking is an issue unless you want to use the valet. Over it's a good date night atmosphere.

The atmosphere is great! There wasn't much going on at lunchtime on a weekday, but you could tell it would be fun at night. The menu, however, is pretentious. Way too "fancy" for BBQ. I'm good with the ideas of the menu, but it wasn't well executed. The flavors were bland and the BBQ didn't even have a chance to stand out. The Woodshed sandwich was dry, the traditional garlic potato salad had a "skin" on it. Like it had been sitting out unstirred. We had fun playing with it, though! See photos. The smoked oysters were alright, but not worth the $3.50 each price tag. The pork bun tasted of SPAM. Everything was overpriced given its quality. There just wasn't any value. We might come back for drinks only some evening, but we likely won't be back for the food.

Freaking delicious. Love the outside atmosphere. Right by the river. Access to the river path. Live music. Loved this place. Mexican corn wasn't great but not bad. Potatoe salad was amazing. Brisket and ribs were awesome. Love this place.

Great food and great atmosphere! Outdoor dining right next to the Trinity River trail. Live music. Dog friendly. And best of all, a great menu of chef Tim Love's dishes. I had the whitefish dip with the house-made tortilla chips and flatbread for an appetizer. It was moist and delicious. For my meal I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of Mexican corn. The brisket was smokey and delicious and came with house-made mustard. I've never had mustard on brisket but it worked well. The Mexican corn was just as yummy! I highly recommend this place. The only downside was the parking. Come ready for a walk due to the limited parking or bring some cash for valet service.

Excellent experience all around. We went as a large group and had no wait to get seated. Great service. I highly recommend the beef shin if you have 5 to 6 adults. Definitely get the chips, cheese dip, and guacamole. They also do ranch water the right way!

We had a great experience this afternoon! All 6 of us enjoyed our food! Large sandwiches, tasty tender brisket and excellent corn on the cob and sides! Good service and a beautiful afternoon to eat outside.

That Shank was really good. Great place to hangout. Think was my 3rd time here. The burgers are good. Pork ribs are hit or miss. The second round of ribs were fantastic. The first round were dried out. My third meal here was better than the first two.

Food was fantastic. Menu has lots of options. Atmosphere is so relaxing and homie. We ate outside on the patio and we loved it. They make humans and dogs feel very welcome. But it felt very clean, relaxed and happy. Just a great place for a nice conversation. Woodshed burger was fantastic. Nachos had a lot of brisket! Chicken fried steak and the cheese potatoes were unforgettable. Price reflects the quality of the place. We left very full. Being on the river was beautiful. It's a great place in a great location. My family will be back!

Very cool location, friendly staff, just not a big fan of their food. I'm fairly picky with BBQ, especially being in TX, and we ordered one of their shared family platters to try a few things. Ribs were dry, and bland, duck sausage was good simply because I had never tried it, brisket was the best with flavor, but was still missing something. Drinks were a bit much for what you got, but the appetizers were very yummy - Brussels sprouts and fondue were great.

Perfect lunch! Kasey was AMAZING and the food was delicious! She gave up some suggestions on the tap beer and even let us sample some to help us choose our beer. My husband and I both had the Butcher's Sandwich without the coleslaw and mustard and it was PERFECT! It includes pulled pork, brisket, and sausage with pickles. Their BBQ sauce was really good, also. The ambiance was great, but even though we didn't sit outside, the bar area had a great view of the outdoor seating and we felt the nice breeze. If you walk out a bit, you can see a bridge on University Drive over the Clear Fork Trinity Rover right next to the establishment. You won't regret checking things place out! They have a DJ (Big Mike) on Wednesdays around 7pm and live music from Friday to Sunday. 🎶😁 Kasey said live music on Saturdays and Sundays starts at noon. 💖

Great spot for a relaxing and sunny lunch during your killer ride up and down the Trinity River. We enjoyed our perfect weather and sat next to our bikes along the path. Cool blues music playing over the speakers, and classic wooden picnic tables complete the vibe. We had Mexican corn, fried potatoes, brisket, sausage, and a bowl of beans! Great lunch, and superb location.

Great meal in a social environment. On the positive side, everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, the dining area is designed to maximize the outdoors, and the food was top-notch. Only issues were the food delivery being a bit slow and there was no way to get on a list prior to arriving.

The lamb brisket is a mouth-watering and unique taste sensation, and the aged brisket is juicy and bursting with flavor. The hummus was surprisingly good, and the crispy potatoes were a favorite at our table. The service was outstanding.

From beginning to end great service. Greeted with awesome service at the front to bring us to our table and our server Jeremy was awesome with suggestions and information on the food. Really helped with making sure we chose the best options that would all leave us happy. Started with the beef nachos, and Mexican corn and ended with woodshed burgers, bulgogi beef, pork tamales, 28 day dry aged brisket, pulled pork sandwich, smoked game hen tacos and drinks of course. Everything was delicious and the kids even left happy and belly's full! Can't wait to go back again!

Lunch was great! We ate outside where you can overlook the river. There is a good flow of the indoor and outdoor setup. The servers were very nice and prompt to provide good service. Highly recommended to try the whole beef rib and brisket. Next time, I would choose the brocollini or any greens for the sides. Corn on the cob dusted with cheese and other flavor was the best selling they say but for me.and my husband, it's alright. The chicken sandwich my daughter got was okay. Decent servings though. We had the smoked chocolate pie. The taste is not overpowering. It was subtle but definitely satisfying. Overall, the taste, experience and price is worth it. We plan to visit again.

Great environment outside by the river with live music, They have a good selection of draft beer. The rabbit and rattlesnake sausage is definitely a must try here!

It’s a great place to hang out with family/friends and enjoy nice weather. It’s right by the river. The food is alright, not the best not the worst. We ordered the whole beef rib and brisket bbq, and bulgogi salmon tacos. ‘Bulgogi’ here just means flavor, no bulgogi served. The salmon had little flavor to it and it’s a bit dry; the sauce is good. Parking would be hard to find. They have valet parking, cost $10

Stopped in for breakfast while in from out of town. Ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Bacon was super thick pork belly, not very impressed. Biscuits were very good, and the gravy was decent. Had a sweet flavor to it that I wasn't really excited about. Would of much preferred the classic taste and look of both the biscuits and gravy with bacon. That being said, I'll go 4 stars since it was my first time there. Awesome atmosphere though.

Great atmosphere and service! The frozen margaritas are so good! The food was excellent for the most part. My fiance had the one beef rib, and it was excellent!! I had the brisket and au gratin potatoes. I was slightly disappointed with the regular brisket, as some of the slices were still cold and it was a little dry for my taste. The hickory smoke was on the heavy side. Tge potatoesxwere great!! I would definitely eat here again and try something different.

The outside is beautiful, especially when you're in the outside with your friends. Any restaurant that offers nice outside seating, I automatically like. I'm more okay with lower quality food if the outside seating is nicer. If McDonald's had a location by a beautiful riverfront, it'd be tough to not absolutely love the food while I was looking at the view. It's similar to watching the bachelor or bachelorette. It's easy to fall in love with someone when you're traveling to amazing places. I'd imagine it's easier to fall in love in the Bahamas than it is in Nebraska. That's why I believe that people that fall in love in Nebraska must really love each other, that's true love. Anyways, luckily this place didn't just have nice outside seating, they also had delicious food. My friends and I really enjoyed our meals.

Very cool place along a river, with very friendly staff. The food was amazing and it didn't break the bank either. Fantastic spot for us to stop on our trip, will recommend to friends and family! The pulled pork brisket sandwich and crispy potatoes were amazing, as well as the potato salad and borracho beans. 10/10 experience

Great little location right off the trinity. Breakfast food was great I recommend the chicken and waffles as hey were pretty good. They have different types of sausage which was pretty interesting. The day I went it was blueberry venison sausage which I was a bit apprehensive about but turned out to be delicious. Would definitely go here again and I’m sure the evening or weekend atmosphere would be nice. Be prepared your dining right of the river so there will be wildlife around.

Beautiful restaurant in both atmosphere and food. Every time we come the menu has changed a bit. Be advised a lot of the seating does not have backs. The food is flavorful and does not disappoint. The service however could improve. Our waitress rarely checked on us for drinks or other needs. We asked for an additional sauce when we did see her and did not receive it until we were finished eating and then found on the bill there was an extra charge for it. So that was disappointing. Salmon tacos were our favorite entree and the apple pie empanadas were not to be missed, primarily because of the ice cream that came with them.

Burger was yum (puc below), brisket nachos as well, just not our type of food, we did order something that we would like and that wouldn't be spicy. The girls in the front could care less if anyone was there, constantly on the phone! Our server, He was great. Menu has some different things, other then the norm we see. No complaints.

The Woodshed has a quality problem. The location and service are great, but the food for the price is not good. We recently had nachos that featured burned chips and grocery store shredded cheese. We also had smoked cauliflower that was way too oily although the spicy sauce was good. After those starter fails we skipped the entrees.

Another very good restaurant from Tim Love. The food is very focused on the theme. The duck tacos were brilliant and the elk sausage was very flavorful. The fruit-flavored drinks were very tasty and not too sweet. The small bar area is very welcoming and intimate. The very large patio is a great place to hang out with friends while listening to live music. The outside bar also makes it easier to grab a drink without waiting. The restaurant's location along the Trinity River is very scenic. Can't wait to explore the menu further!

Great spot by the river, with a fantastic patio and live music. Smoked meats were all dry (brisket, ribs and sausage), but all other items on the menu were delicious. Blueberry cobbler was out of this world.

The atmosphere is awesome. Right by the river but the BBQ if being honest wasn't that special. To be fair I only had the pulled pork brisket sandwich. Still good tho. Kinda expensive.
