Fixe staff is out of this world!! We came for the biscuits, and left with full hearts. Our waitress overheard we were celebrating the end of the school year (and that it was my first school year as a single mom), and she surprised my daughter with card signed by the entire staff and a gift card! In the world we live in today, we forget how kind humans can be to each other. Fixe will forever have our patronage. And the food & drinks were delicious!

What an experience! My wife and I ate here on a Friday night, and we loved every moment of it. From the moment you walk in, you're struck by the beauty and intentionality of the design. The menu was simple and easy to understand, and they had a wide selection of drinks. They even made a "mocktail" for my pregnant wife, which was delicious. I heard that the biscuits (appetizer) and fried chicken (entree) were a must here, and I have to say that I was not at all disappointed. The biscuits might be the best I've ever had! They are made fresh and from scratch for every order, and you can taste it. They're served with spreading butter, honey, and peach preserve. The fried chicken was also incredible! It came with two chicken thighs that were perfectly breaded and seasoned, as well as a kale salad. I also got the cast iron pecan pie for dessert, which had the fluffiest crust that I've ever experienced on a pie. The only down part of the night was that our waitress seemed a bit rude and aloof. She was always in a rush, and on two separate occasions while we were ordering (first appetizers, then drinks), she power-walked away from the table after one person ordered, not waiting to see if anyone else had any orders. There were a handful of awkward instances like this, but all in all it didn't really put a damper on the night. The food, drinks, and ambiance greatly made up for it. I will definitely be returning!

It's a lovely place with great ambiance and the service was great. Unfortunately the food let me down. I ordered the fried chicken, which is apparently their most popular entrée. The plate consisted of two chicken thighs, which were just on the wrong side being overcooked, with a kale salad. While the chicken wasn't bad, for $20 I was expecting more. My wife's shrimp and grits, again were just short of the mark. I did enjoy "The Vegetarian" that my daughter ordered and the biscuits.

I realize now that I may give other restaurants too many stars. This one deserves all five. The staff is filled with a lot of character, charm and “southern” hospitality. I came and sat at the bar during happy hour. This is a great selection to start here with. I had a Honey Badger which is their take on a Gold Rush. Photo for reference. Not on the happy hour menu but def worth the try are the biscuits. Collin my bartender told me they are probably the best biscuits on earth and I think he was right they come out hot still steaming on the inside. With an amazing compliment of honey, house jam(strawberry that day), and butter. This was like having my dessert first and I wish I had just gotten more biscuits. I tried the chicken sandwhich. The made from scratch roll is a great base for all there burgers or sandwiches. The chicken was cooked perfect and I will come back to try the fried chicken dish because of this. It had a slaw on the sandwich that I realized that’s what slaw is supposed to taste like it added a fresh taste to the chicken and bun. It was a true compliment to the entire dish. I had such a small taste of the menu and I can’t wait to come back to attempt to try it all if I could leave you with one thing… please try the biscuits!!!

Came here for breakfast. Our server was polite and attentive. We got the biscuits(really good) and the cinnamon roll(sickly sweet). My only issue was the eggs. They just didn't seen scrambled, more like beat up in the pan with a spatula while they were cooking.

First visit so can't give 5 out the gate. Although if i was only judging on the Biscuits this a 10 out of 5. These damn Biscuits good on a different level. I started not to order anything else. Someone in the party order fish and it didn't taste like good ole southern catfish. The chicken thigh biscuit was okay but the toppings were left off so might have been better. I had bacon, eggs and grits and that was solid.

The service was really nice. We had a party of 16 and everything went smoothly. The food was pretty but not very flavorful. I would give them a 2nd shot though. I ordered the Fixe 75 which had gin and champagne in it. Very strong but the gin seemed very cheap. I ordered the Texas red fish. The salsa on the fish was really good. I did not care for the mini black eyed peas mixed into the rice. They were too hard. 6/10 I also tried the shrimp and grits. Being from Louisiana I'd give it a 5/10. I'm use to thick cheesy grits with shrimp and grits. I also tried the fried chicken with the kale salad. The chicken was fried really nice and juicy. But no flavor except from the light honey glaze they put on it. Definitely a 4/10. The server bragged about how great their biscuits are. They were hot and fresh but not THAT great. Very very nice atmosphere and I would go back

Well Butter my biscuits and call me HAPPY!! No really. Butter them biscuits and use the local honey and the blackberry jam. Total treat for us. Came for brunch and looking forward to lunch and dinner visits. Country Chic decor and a private room for larger parties.

Decent atmosphere, devil eggs were bland, bloody Mary’s were ok but small, super spicy, Bread on the sandwich’s extremely hard not much taste. Ordered fish and chips had to cancel the order took way to long, we had order and waited 50+min still did not have our orders ready. Had to get the burger and chicken sandwich to go. 10 customers total 2 with appetizers when we arrived. And 2 finishing up. Our waitress was good not her fault her part of the service was great

Great service. Waiter had a sense of humor and was very familiar with the menu, having many suggestions. The Biscuit were served hot, fluffy, and fresh. The fried chicken was great, full of flavor. My friend said the house-made breakfast sausage was great. She loved the coffee. Nice setting with an open kitchen space to watch cooks.

Biscuits, just order them, they are so fresh and so good and so feeling. Feeling. Plus the honey. The butter and the jam are amazing to go with the biscuits. The staff there are amazing, very attentive and will take care of every question you may have. I love sitting at the bar. We usually go on the weekends. But if you decide to dine in at a regular table, the chairs are very comfortable. There's even outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Order the iced tea table side. It's kind of neat, where are they bring out the tea brewing and then poor directly into your glass. We usually order breakfast there but every time I've gone there for other times like lunch and dinner, always have a wonderful meal.

Great atmosphere--contemporary and relatively quiet even with many of the tables full. Excellent food. I enjoyed the lobster-crawfish pot pie and my wife had the Texas red fish. Oh, and make sure you order the Fixe biscuits. They were even better than described. The best I've had, and I've enjoyed many biscuits in my lifetime. Our server, Oscar, was great. Very pleasant, attentive and offered great menu suggestions. On our next visit (and we will be back) we plan to enjoy the fried chicken. It is highly recommended. Thank You, Fixe and Oscar.

The Happy Hour here is worth the try. This is my second time. The first time I had the fried fish that I highly recommend. If you want a good experience but for a decent price definitely try the happy hour and their limited happy hour menu. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a vibe. Dimly lit, spacious tables. The patio was good during the fall.

We had a fantastic time! Went for happy hour and the entire staff was amazing, especially our server (Brooks). Everything tasted great. The catfish and biscuits are a must! I also enjoyed the deviled eggs.

Everyone - bartender, wait staff, cooks, bartender (yes, two times for the bartender) - and everything was wonderful. Be sure to get a bit of sauerkraut in each bite when eating the deviled eggs (trust me). And the homemade biscuits are an absolute MUST. The owner really did an excellent job of creating a pleasurable atmosphere and dining experience.

It’s a tough call but I’m going to give this place 4 stars. The food was really good but my only gripe is my soft boiled egg was overcooked. It didn’t take away from the flavor though. It was all tasty and the service was good. The atmosphere was also really nice and cute but they could get better exhaust fans to decrease the smoke inside the restaurant. It was a bit pricey for what you got. I ordered a brisket egg sandwich and for $18 it should have at least come with breakfast potatoes or fries. Their cinnamon roll was probably one of the best I’ve ever had though.

The food, service and ambiance are amazing! We ordered biscuits for the table and the house-made fruit preserves jam, butter and honey were delicious! We also ordered French toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes which all were great options. Oscar waited on us on a busy Sunday morning with lots of TCU families from Parent Weekend. The food took a little longer than expected, however, Oscar was extremely attentive and apologetic to the situation. This type of customer service you can’t find anymore! I will make this our go to spot for lunch and breakfast mainly for the quality customer service dining experience!

The service is stellar, the food is decent. My parents and grandparents ordered coffee and 2 of the coffees were extremely cool instead of hot like the others. My husband and I had the burgers and they were overpoweringly salty. In contrast, the fries had almost no flavor but they were perfectly cooked. The green tea is a nice loose leaf blend, and while it's nice that they bring it to you while still steeping, it would have been nice to get two saucers since the steeper did cause quite a bit of mess. Overall I felt it was decent, but could be better. At least the servers are attentive.

The food was to die for!!! Our server was Marcos and he was on his game! We will definitely come back because it was worth the drive from Cedar Hill. My only wish is that they would bring some of that brunch menu to the dinner menu.
