I would give it 10 stars. Amazing food, amazing service. A piece of DFW history and extremely large portions be prepared to share. We had the sampler and had to be rolled out. We will be back soon

Campisi's, known years ago as the Egyptian club, is a Dallas underworld point of history. Everyone from Frank Sinatra to Al Pacino ate here. In the early days there were rumored ties to Mafia, but today it's just a great place to disappear and have some good food and cocktails in a relaxed, dark atmosphere. I can vouch for all of the pizzas, and the meatball sandwich!

Yes, the place is dark, but it adds to the fun that is Campisi's. Let me start by saying Courtney was awesome. My wife and I ordered the lunch Pasta Combo and a medium pepperoni and hamburger pizza. Well.....that was way too much food. We could have easily shared either the pasta combo or the pizza. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and delicious. Although we were stuffed we had to order dessert. The tiramisu was so good that we actually ordered 2. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. 👍🏻👍🏻

I've lived in Texas for almost 24 years. After having lived in Chicago for nine years, I was convinced that great pizza could not be found in Texas. Some good pizza yes, but not great pizza. Campisi's has proved me wrong. Wow! Love their pizza. It's not deep dish. It's a thin crust. But, it's very good!

Food was tasty and we enjoyed the atmosphere a great deal. It took a decent bit for the food to arrive even if the place didn’t seem the busiest at the time, and the waitress must’ve not been a beer drinker as she wasn’t able to identify or recommend any lager beers they had (which there were many), hence 4 and not 5 stars. I had heard a great deal about the place and the food definitely didn’t disappoint.

A co-worker suggested we eat here when we were in Dallas, and we’re glad we did. We ate about 3PM on a Saturday. It was not too crowded, and the service was great. We started off with Joes Special Garlic Toast (side of tomato sauce) which we really enjoyed. For our mains we had Chicken Parmigiana and a small pizza with pepperoni and sausage. The chicken parmesan was hot and tasty. The pizza had a thin crust and was the perfect size. We really liked it too. Very happy we stopped by!

1st time here was for a family member's birthday. It's was dark, quiet, and empty for a Saturday evening. The service was friendly & accurate but excruciating slow. We had appetizers and plenty of entrees. Everything was good. Nothing stellar. I ordered pizza delivery too and the pizza arrived at the time noted on the website.

Great food and awesome atmosphere. Went here for lunch, they have a great lunch special for a small 2 topping pizza and a salad. Perfect lunch and I’m sure it’s awesome for dinner as well.

The best lasagna I have ever had. Calm atmosphere with a real energy that can’t be replicated. Exquisite service. They make you feel like family. The flavors are worth traveling for.

A true Dallas classic, Campisi’s Restaurant serves tasty Italian pasta and pizza dishes. My family normally orders takeout and it never disappoints!

Good food, big portions, reasonable prices and great service. My son and I had homemade meat ravioli and chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. We enjoyed our meals and had some me to take home. Our waitress, Penny made us feel like we were family and we enjoyed talking with her.

Best Italian food I have ever had. So delicious can't wait to go back and bring my extended family. Love rhe atmosphere as well. Bit dark when you walk in but you get use to it. Felt like part of the mob getting our daily lunch from the Italian grandma herself lol

I was taken there for a Birthday Lunch and the Food was so delicious! All the meals were cooked to perfection. Their pizza is one of my Faves, as well as their house salad. It is very dim, Great for date nights... Our Waitress was very attentive, even as busy as she was. The Atmosphere is so cool. I love this location. I will go back!

READ THIS REVIEW……. Ok, I’ve been eating their pizza for 35 years and love it. However, it saddens me to see so many negative reviews on food quality. I went open minded and my pizza was perfect!!!! I got the all the way, minus mushrooms (make pizzas a little soggy), add garlic, and extra crispy (crunchy crust and toasted meats). I’ve been in FL for 2 years… and on my first bite, I had a huge reaction (spontaneous and not intentional). I sat up in my chair, turned my head to the ceiling, raised both arms up to the sky, and said “Mmmmmmmm” as I chewed…. and afterwards, said, “it feels so good to be alive!” Yes, it was dramatic, but it’s been 2 years! Now for the sad part. My friend ordered the lasagna with meat sauce. He is a big foodie and cooks a lot. The pasta was so undercooked that he could not cut it or eat it. Seemed to be dried hard pasta from a box, layered in the pan, and expected to fully cook in the oven. Definitely not freshly made. Really bad and he could not eat it. Therefore only 3 stars. (Would be a 1 for lasagna, 5 for pizza.)

Love this place! My wife and I grew up in Dallas and have been coming here for 30 years. For better or worse, it hasn’t changed a bit! Cool, dark vibe. Food is excellent - highly recommend the pizza and lasagna. Pro-tip: order the artichoke heart appetizer!!!

Great nostalgia atmosphere. Got there early for lunch and it filled up quickly. Service was wonderful and had the lunch special. Spaghetti meatball, raviolis, lasagna with meat sauce. Side salad too. And that bread, fageddaboudit. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items. Quite the history about this place if you don’t know look it up or ask. Very cool

This is a must go restaurant if you are anywhere in the area. The food is amazing, the history of the restaurant is super cool and the people that work there are great people. I highly recommend and will be going whenever I am in Dallas. It is only 1 of 3 locations in the area that has stood the test of time and culture. You won't be disappointed.

The dark lighting gives me a place to hide & regroup while filling up my belly with comfort food. And while they're known for their Italian food, there's not a steakhouse in town. They can beat their steak. Been going there since I was old enough to walk. A-plus

The best crab claws and pizza I've ever had!! The food was hot and fresh, customized to my liking.

Overall: Meh. Service: We had a unfriendly bartender that set the tone for our night. When we sat down, she didn't greet us kindly- she literally said "are y'all getting food or just sitting here???" It was odd but we shrugged it off, because everyone has a bad day sometimes. The unpleasantness got to where we just wanted to leave, though. The other bartender noticed that we were being mostly ignored at some point and helped us out, which is why I added two stars instead of 1. Food: Disappointing for the price. The toasted ravioli was def more lackluster than life changing. The pizza was OK. Pasta was OK. Our salad and pasta we got to go, and the salad was sat directly on top of the hot pasta and ruined by the time we got home. Overall, feels like we didn't get the value for our money, and it wasn't a great first experience.

Nice red sauce here. Good lasagna. Large portion for Texas appetites. Raised the yum bar on pasta.
