My wife and I had a ton of fun during our wine/cheese experience with Erwan. We were fortunate to come across this class during our thorough search of wine experiences in Paris and chose Erwan's class because of his countless perfect reviews - and we are happy to leave another! The wine was terrific, the cheese pairings were perfect, and we left the class with a better understanding and appreciation for French wine! We just wish we could have stayed there all day!!

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Paris. Erwan is an excellent host, and took us through five wine and cheese pairings excellently. His talking points were really interesting and actually contained a lot of useful tips! The portions of both the wine and cheese were generous, and when I scoffed the whole basket of bread he got some more. Overall it was a fantastic few hours and worth every penny.

It’s very obvious that Erwan loves what he does. Not only was the wine, cheese, and bread delicious, but the atmosphere that he creates is unlike anything else I’ve experienced in Paris. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and keeps it fresh with the occasional joke. It was more like a friend explaining wine instead of a boring classroom lesson. I’m walking away full and satisfied and much more knowledgeable about wine than I was before. I cannot begin to do justice to the fun of learning more about wine, the cheeses that he paired the wines with and the chance to meet people from all over the world. The ambience was amazing, too! I’m a novice to French wines and cheeses. I'm happy to try things when we travel, but as far as knowing anything about what I'm ordering, I had no idea what I was doing. Erwan was the perfect host and teacher to learn more about French wines and learn more about how to pair cheese and wine. Perhaps what I loved about this most is how the tasting was set up to facilitate great conversation between guests and Erwan. Throughout the tasting, we were able to try five different French wines and five different cheeses from various regions of France. (Both white and red wines are included in the tasting, so there is something for everyone.) Erwan has all the wines available for purchase and his recommendations a very reasonably priced. We purchased a couple of bottles to take with us, but he also ships to the United States. I would happily book another wine tasting experience with Erwan to learn more. He is so fiercely passionate about wine and cheese and I really enjoyed learning from him. His wine recommendations are truly exceptional.

First time in Paris and this was definitely worth it! As someone with little wine knowledge I learned so much during the tasting! Definitely go if you can fit it in one day!

We went for the later tasting with Erwin and I can say that this was absolutely one of the best evenings we spent in Paris. The tasting itself was well structured to explain all a beginner or novice wine drinker would need to know. The cheese's that we were given to pair with each of the 5 wines we tasted were high quality and delicious. I think booking in to do a wine tasting at the secret wine door should be a first to do for any trip to Paris. I found myself using all the knowledge I gained at this tasting at every meal eaten the remainder of the trip. I will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough!

This place was in a cute little neighborhood and easy to find. The instructor was outstanding and really knows the answers to everything you want to know about wine. He taught us how to order wine properly while dining out and clarified the regions where the wine was from. I really enjoyed this time and the cheeses were outstanding. It was such a fun time. Can't wait to come back next year to learn and taste more! He also ask a shop you can order from and its amazing! What a fantastic couple of hours spent at the Secret Wine Door. If you don't know much about wines, but like drinking wines, you will learn about wines and cheeses. There are some tips that make you a bit more educated. And I wished we came here our first day in Paris vs. our last. I loved learning how the French vs. Americans look at and order wines. I learned about specific French wine regions. And even some background in cheeses. The small group (about 12) of people was so much fun to interact with. We met people from Canada, Australia, and the US. It was a fun and educational experience and I would do it again when we come back. And yes, the wines and cheeses were fantastic.

I can't say enough good things about the wine and cheese tasting at the Secret Wine Door. The wine and cheese were very good but the host, Erwan was exceptionally informative, friendly and entertaining. This is definitely not a snobby sommelier wine lecture, but an informative experience by someone who loves what he does and enjoys people. The most useful thing I learned was that in France wine is not ordered in a restaurant by the grape variety but by the region and the city. I often wonder about reviews on the web, but in this case the reviews are accurate and correct, definitely a 5 star experience at a reasonable price!

Erwan is an incredibly knowledgeable and laidback sommelier. This class was super informative, led in an intimate setting and not to mention, tasty!!! We had a very good selection of wine and cheese from various regions in France. The pairing was impeccable. My taste buds exploded in symphony. Everything came in reasonably large portions too. I left with more unexpected knowledge and appreciation for French wine and cheese. Highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in wine.

On our Paris trip we were looking for an authentic wine and cheese experience to learn more about the French wine culture. This one is an absolute gem and was an amazing experience which is highly recommended. It was a fun two hours in a cozy private environment with the host Erwan being authentic ,fun and super knowledgeable which lead to some nice conversations and interesting facts to be shared within the group.

Erwan was kind enough to bring the wine tasting to us for my partner’s birthday. We had a few friends over; he brought the wines, glassware, charcuterie, and a map of the wine regions of France. We learned, had a lot of fun, and tasted some great wines. He also brought bottles for sale. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and happy to switch between French and English. Would definitely recommend a tasting with him if you’re in Paris.

Just had the best experience at the secret wine door. We have done other wine tastings and none even came close. He was knowledgeable, friendly, spoke multiple languages and had the best wines! I had the best evening learning about French wines from Erwan - he's super knowledgeable and I learnt lots that I've never been taught on previous wine tastings.
