We loved our glass of wine & oysters here on a Sunday midday - a very popular time to go, with the market nearby in full swing - although I imagine it is often busy as the selection of wine & prices would be hard to beat. We squeezed our way to the bar to get our drinks, then got oysters from the staff outside & basically stood on the pavement with many others. Loved it! I just wish I lived closer.

This place is simply a must - I remembered coming here a lot when in Paris before Covid, and now I rediscovered it, as lively and unchanged as ever. Fantastic atmosphere, fun, friendly, authentic, welcoming, nice wines, great music, excellent plates of meats and cheeses. We’ll be sure to return every time we’re in Paris.

We had such a lovely light lunch here. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Staff are friendly and their wine knowledge is excellent. The barmen recommended us two lovely whit wines which we enjoyed with a mixed platter of cheese and cold meats. Authentic and unpretentious, I would definitely recommend this spot.

It's super nice place to enjoy wines for reasonable prices I went to 6pm on Friday and It was so crowded It looked like very popular for locals and travelers too I've been happy with most of part this wine bar But I think they need to improve the toilet:)

the most happening place in Paris from 5 to 10 pm. Incredible atmosphere, great wine selection and good food, everything improved by the Host, the soul of the place, he can speaks easily 4 or 5 languages and make everyone comfortable. Best cave in Paris by far.

Quirky neighborhood bar where you may bring your own container and they will fill with wine. Great wine, great energy and great bar snacks. This is a really fun place. Outdoor seating is great when the weather is nice but indoors is very good as well. A really nice place to have some cocktails and enjoy pleasant company.

good place to try french natural wines at an affordable price! the staff were friendly and recommended us great options. atmosphere and food (charcuterie boards with some ala carte meat and cheese options) were great too. the space is quite small so do get there early, unless you don't mind standing.

This is one of my favourite spots in Paris, we have been coming here for almost a decade whenever we are in town, and were so happy that it survived the pandemic! It's a friendly locals-type wine bar, no pretentiousness just a huge range of great wines to try by the glass or small carafe at great prices, exactly the place to come if you want to learn more about French wine. Along with the wine are small plates of eg charcuterie, cheese, rillettes etc, sometimes there are fresh oysters. Definitely a must if you are looking for a great wine bar!

Great wine bar with friendly service. The fresh oysters on Sundays from the market across the street are great value, as is the wine. A good mix of locals and tourists frequent this wine bar.

Super cheap wine with English speaking staffs, nice place for hang out with friends for sure. The cheese/ham mix platter is a bit boring but if you were more than 1 person I think it’s good as an aperotivo

It is a lovely place to hang out with locals and have wonderful wine at a cheaper price. You'll be hit with the variety of local wines and the ability to try them all. The staff was nice enough to listen to my bad French when the place was crowded. The general people who go here are also very welcoming and nice. They will spur up a conversation with you and try to get to know you. While we were there, they had an oyster opening booth, where you could get fresh oysters. I'd recommend this place to anyone but definitely to the person wanting to become a sommelier for practice.

My favourite wine bar in Paris, with a real locals and neighbourhood vibe. Huge selection of wines by the glass and some great meat and cheese options. Lots of room out the front with a few seats in the back. Awesome service and just a real fun vibe, we always make a effort to visit whenever we are in Paris ♥️

Great little wine bar that serves natural wine for a very reasonable price and a place that has a very inviting feel to it. They do charcuterie plates to accompany the wine and also fresh oysters on certain days, which were delicious.

My family loved our evening here trying many types of wine and cheese. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It got very bustling on a Friday night so come early if you want to sit otherwise you can stand and the crowd spills out onto the sidewalk.

Iconic! You don't want to miss this place. All the locals stop in and have their wine jugs filled. We were served a plate of bread and blue cheese with our glasses of wine. The service was so friendly and the partons so colorful!

One of the most amazing bars we have ever been to. Buzzing atmosphere, lovely staff with extremely quick service, be prepared to be crammed in but it made it even more memorable! A true French experience and must do if in the area!

We had the best time here. Stopped by around 5pm after a lovely lunch around the corner and stayed until about 7pm! Ask for recommendations! Everyone is so lovely and it gets so crowded! A beautiful and friendly neighborhood spot ♥️🍷

Amazing atmosphere, the people that works there gave us some recommendations. Is pretty cheap and food and wines are good. Not a touristic spot

Reviews described this as a happening, buzzy, friendly wine bar. Our experience could be summed up in a word : Attentive : if you are a local and turn up at the bar after a tourist, you'll be offered a taste, information about the wine and a friendly smile. Indifferent: if you are tourist, unsure of your French regions/styles, a glass will be placed in front of you and the contents of a nominated, but indeterminate, wine will be sloshed into the glass without any attention, care or information... P.S. As mentioned elsewhere in these reviews, the Toilet is a hole in a ceramic basin/urinal shared by both men & women ... pretty ordinary and not really ideal for an establishment serving wine and food to many patrons.

Great selection of wine, nice options for tapas and lovely people taking care of you, not counting the fact it’s super popular apparently ;)

I absolutely love this bar! The music, the owner, the oysters, the Sancerre! Had a beautiful afternoon there, can’t wait to visit Paris again and go back

Le Baron Rouge is my favorite place in all of Paris. The wine selection is thoughtful and expansive. The owners and staff are welcoming and have a good sense of humour. Expect your head to hurt the next morning because it’s hard to stop after you get going - enjoying the wine and conversations with locals.
