This hotel is suspected of severe racial discrimination. White front desk staff allowed all incoming guests to check in early, except for my friend and me, who are Asian. They didn't allow us to check in early, and we had to wait in the lobby for an hour. The key point is that during that hour, we were the only two Asians there, while everyone else got their room keys smoothly. We just had to wait in the lobby, and we didn't argue with the front desk staff. This was a very unpleasant experience. A bunch of awful people. We were aware that this was a policy, so we didn't argue with the front desk. It was just the two of us, Asians, who had to adhere to such a policy, while everyone else didn't have to.

This is the absolute worse Marriott property I’ve ever stayed at. Staff and facilities are terrible. Stayed for work (in fact, I still need to stay here for several weeks). 1. Rooms - not well kept or clean. Expect low quality everything. From lack of functioning showers and shampoo dispensers to beds missing protection so you don’t hurt yourself at night when walking in the dark. 2. Staff - absolutely terrible and it starts with their GM, Beeson. Completely oblivious to what is happening. He only makes excuses and lies. I’ve been around the industry for long enough to know how hotels operate and this GM will lie to you out of pure laziness to fix anything. Repulsive and no work ethic. Extend this ti the staff who will hang up the phone on you if you ask them for something they don’t want to do. There’s better hotels in the area, go elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The hotel is clean and modern and Amir in reception was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We suggest that you look for him when you visit. We will come back to visit again. Thank you, Amir for your great service.

Been to a lot of hotels in Fremont area, and have to admit, this Marriott is pretty much the best hotel in this city. Great location, awesome restaurant, quiet rooms, and professional staff.

If you’re looking for your car to get broken into, damaged, and attempted to be stolen here’s the place for you. I thought I had it bad but another guy had his car completely stolen. What an amazing stay. Read the reviews about how often this happens. My door handles and ignition were so damaged it was hard to get in my vehicle and impossible to fit the key in the ignition. I got to be woken up from police at 5am so they could do a report. I got to spend my morning calling AAA and having my car towed. Security only does rounds every hour. There are no cameras outside. Staff does not care. In other situations like this staff can comp rooms. They refused and wasted my time. Money hungry business that is well aware of an issue they are doing nothing to help.

Where to start? This has been the worst hotel experience I can remember. I reserved adjoining rooms months ago for a surgery my father is having. We spoke to a real person to absolutely confirm we would have adjoining rooms. We show up, and have to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half before we get our rooms, which aren’t adjoining. No adjoining rooms are available. Of course, no other options are available at this point, so we take the rooms we’re given. Their restaurant no longer bothers to serve lunch, and their dinner menu was small and poor. The ice machines on every single floor no longer work. They no longer offer room service. The list just goes on and on, and I’ve only been here for 6 hours so far. The hotel has clearly stopped trying to provide half the services it advertises, and the staff can’t guarantee what they promise. If you have any option other than here, I’d recommend you take it.

Had a great wonderful stay at this location. Highly recommend. Front staff they were wonderful to deal with. They were there to listen to any concerns or anything that you might need. Rooms were very clean and everything at this hotel was top notch. Plenty of parking. The only thing that I might suggest they ad is more carts or trolley. Room I suggest adding a microwave. Next time we need a hotel or friends need a hotel I will suggest this one in the Silicon Valley. Keep up the great job 👍 👏

The best part of my stay was the breakfast buffet. I believe dinner is available in the same area. The gym was pretty good. It could use a wipe dispenser and better water dispenser. There's a hot tub by the indoor pool. My room had a gorgeous view. I couldn't turn the shower water temperature as hot as I wanted but I'd stay here again.

Greeted with a smile by Ana E at the front desk was extremely welcoming! She made sure to explain all the amenities of the beautiful hotel. Was able to help with upgrade on our room, (Bonvoy Membership) upon availability. We felt like she went the extra mile in every way. With that being said we booked another night & was happy to see her there again to help us with excellent customer service. We look forward to staying at this great hotel! Hotel staff at the restaurants were also very accommodating & we enjoyed the delicious food! Easy parking & we enjoyed the front lobby area meeting our guests. Our room was delightful and bed was super comfortable! This place made us feel at home! Great job to the management having a great team at this hotel!

Good choice and usually better price as more far away from the Silicon Valley. Clean and good quality rooms, not so big though. Quiet as enough distance to hwy 880. Always great service and also the wifi seems to be fixed now.

Newly remodeled (apparently during COVID according to staff) for a modern and comfortable experience. We booked for a little gateway and enjoyed our stay very much. The location might not be the best if you're looking for entertainment but you'll still find plenty of restaurants options nearby. There's a nice Mexican restaurant with authentic cuisine and a nice selection of beer right accross the street and that we enjoyed (rock and salsa). in the end we booked for the comfort of the room and were very pleased.

My first visit to this particular Marriott hotel for work. It is in a great location for my work, and well positioned for the area as a base. Rooms are what you expect, clean and well kept. The breakfast is a good start to the day. All in all, you cannot go wrong.

Was here for a one day business trip. Stay was great. Staff was polite and professional. Prices were great, too ~$130 for a night. Didn't get a chance to hit their fitness center, but I heard it's good.

The physical plant seems great the service is horrible I had the guys certainly omelets with gloves on who kept picking up his phone texting with the gloves on and then picking up my food and spending it on my Omelette ..yuk Then I had no soap shampoo in the shower. The next day they said they would take care of it they clean the room again no soap no shampoo no conditioner. What frustration I ask to speak to a manager they said there's no manager on duty do to you I said there's no manager and charging know there's not know when you tried to explain yourself you get interrupted and you can't explain frustrations. I asked for the general manager I was told he only works 925 looking up the general manager he comes from a limited service background and he only works bankers hours? So I left a message with the desk with Marriott with Marriott corporate and also linked in trying to get an answer back from the general manager as of today nothing. Add insult to injury when I was trying to get my bill it took two conversations at the desk and 5 telephone calls to finally get a copy of my bill and yet no general managers return the call to explain the services so I don't recommend the Fremont Marriott it's basically a free month comfort in their Fremont Holiday Inn it's really not Marriott and I'm a former employee and GM so it said would not recommend. Despite the health concerns and how food handling should be done the service is just so substandard it's really not up to Marriott's quality I also asked Marriott to do an audit on this facility and we'll see what happens.

Had some not so good issues with the booking agency I went through. With that being said, Erica at the front desk went above and beyond to advocate for me to get my stay straightened out. Clean upscale hotel with friendly staff.

I made the mistake of booking my room a day early. Bryant and Erica explained to me as long as I call the company I booked my iternary from they would help me get a refund. So I purchased another night and it was great! By the morning I had my refund. I highly recommend staying here!

I am at this hotel from past one month , and the service level is first class! Victoria and Narmita at the front desk are very pleasant and always friendly. Both have a great sense of humor, and put up with my high maintenance requests. Thanks to the entire Marriott team for always providing a pleasant stay!!!

Have very complicated feelings of this place. The front desk, the rooms and amenities are perfect. But I lost $10000+ valuables in the parking garage and lost a blouse the next day in the hotel room. The manager freed my stays and gave a free breakfast voucher. Hope they set up video cameras in the garage and parking space in the future.

Nick at the front desk was excellent. He took care of me. He knows me, and always pleasant person to work with at a situation where rooms needed to be extended and didn’t want to move out of one room to another, and he took care of everything. Great job in Nick! Marriott management should continue to hire such professionals and take care of their employees!

Knowing that labor is tight. Staff are doing their best in most cases. Bathroom lacks basic amenities though. Kitchen staff managed to keep most of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese un-melt in omelettes for breakfast. There seems to be a custom not to disturb the carpet during the stay, even the rest of the room is cleaned.

We arrive on a flight at 7am on Monday with meeting not until Tuesday no rooms available until 4pm, but Nick was able to help us out a little early. Also night front desk clerk May was very helpful as well 3am coffee still on central time.

Worst experience ever! Proper room service was not done, they only did the room service after multiple calls ( just once in a 3 days stay ), no response from the front desk at the reception for other service requests, the services offered by a local hotel would be better at half the charge!

Difficult to image no one has commented yet on this, but the rooms smell horrible, with little ventilation. First room I was given smelled bad, on the 4th floor. Second one on the 8th floor was not much better. Then I realized the stench came from the bathroom - sewage fumes. I kept the bathroom door shut, toilet seat down, and the a/c on high to try to clear the room of the odor, since the windows don’t open a crack. My nose would run profusely when in the bathroom. Since this was the second room I went into with a stench, on different floors and rooms on opposite sides of the hallway, I suspect the issue would be hotel wing wide or at least among those rooms along the same sewage line. Hold your nose, and you’ll be fine - the furnishings and decor are new, the rooms seem clean otherwise. Minimally avoid rm 842 during the summer heat. I also had a very major issue with this Marriott having only one non-tesla electrical vehicle charging station, which is occupied 90% of the time. No hope for charging an ev car at this hotel, having and advertising this amenity is misleading. the spots are not monitored and are used by any vehicle for parking, in addition, the hotel has broken ev chargers. I had to walk .5miles to charge my car at a random business parking lot. Or else, uber to and from a shopping mall with available chargers. Unbelievable pain and needless stress to potentially drive without electricity. Management is useless in this regard, though the front desk staff, Rita was amazing and outstanding; she tried her best to help in a hopeless situation. Other staff were not friendly, I understand the service complaints that other reviews reference. I had originally planned to stay at this hotel 6x this year, but cancelled all future reservations because this tops my worst Marriott experience thus far.

Upon entry , my spouse & I were greeted with kindness & can do attitudes from Nick & Amir. We stayed here after the SJSU/SDSU FB game. I appreciated clean the hotel & room was. I took away 1 star because they had no face towels in the entire hotel. That seemed weird. Either way, I’d stay again vs driving home after a long day.

First and foremost, the service and employees here are excellent...and I mean EXCELLENT!! The improvements, however, need to happen in their workout facility. The cardio equipment was old, didn't have any built-in fans and the room was very hot and humid as it's next to the pool. Also, they have a full wall mural of an athlete sporting the full colors of Communist China, which I found very odd since this is the United States.

Thanks to Nick (front desk manager) who we knew the first time when we booked this hotel years ago. He helped us check in, taking care of our rental car issue. We are from LA and have family union at Fremont 3 or 4 times a year. We always stay and enjoy this hotel because of Nick and his team‘s service. Nick treats us not only like his customers but also like his friends to make us feel like home when we stay. It’s a very nice experience!

I stayed on the 9th floor and the room was quite new. Bathroom look like it is recently renovated, therefore looked perfect. I liked that they had nice quality toiletries as well as hair dryer and iron, which is quite convenient when you have to get ready for nice evening or an event. The location is perfect and there is gas station right behind and eating point like subway and McDonald on the corner as well.

For starters the layout is very nice. The landscaping is top notch and the interior is kept extremely clean. Now for the cons. Parking is atrocious. If you arrive after 6pm or so plan to park in the parking deck or around the other side of the hotel. The caveat to this is the fact that their is only one entrance to use which is the main lobby entrance. Its a long walk and unnecessary in my opinion. The rooms are clean and very basic. No smart television other than basic 30 or 40 channels. They started breakfast the last day before I checked out early. Breakfast was more or less the small things. Juice, milk, cereal etc. Pricing was the straw that broke the camels back. Using a corporate card or not I paid $13.50 for an 8 ounce off brand orange juice and a Solo cup of fruit which mostly consisted of cantaloupe. I checked out 2 days early and went back across the road. With changes this could make for a great hotel.

Beautiful hotel and looking very beautiful and the price is right for the people who lives around there and surrounding but for some people maybe little expensive but for the place and area that price is good, nice rooms and friendly people work there.

Its very reasonable price rooms and the rooms are really nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The television channels are not that good. The price of the food in the morning is ridiculously expensive ill post the pictures and let u decide

Pillows smell old and well used. Socks from previous occupants were still on the floor! TV remote is sticky. No maid service during your stay. Food is WAY OVER-PRICED for the quality. 3 stars for the view!

Prior to pandemic time , this is probably my favourite hotel to stay. Come with earth breakfast daily with order to cook omelette station. Room was definitely clean and won’t disappoint me at all. Clean and cosy room always come with great view too. Unfortunately the room was given to me this time is so bad at 4th floor with view of roof top and car park. This is first time I was given to such room and being the elite platinum member still. The service is still hold high standard and gym room is perfectly clean. Enjoy the hospitality of the staff here and always feel safe to stay here. Love the bar at night as i am enjoying the beer selection and not too bad the wine varieties too. Keep it up !

I stayed here for 5 months on a business trip and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Tash and Dago make the best drinks and the food is always perfect. The front desk staff were always accommodating and the absolute friendliest. The hotel was going through renovations when I first sayed there and I recently booked one of the renovated rooms; they were very well done.Stand up showers with beautiful laid tile and minimal carpet in the bedroom. It looked like a completely new hotel!

The hotel itself is pretty nice and the rooms are clean. Pros: - Staff are extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and take pride in their customer service. - Parking is plentiful on site when the garage is open (it was closed off during our stay for some sort of maintenance) - The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and recreation. Cons: - Ice is only available on the ground floor due to COVID restrictions. This can be a pain if you're staying on the upper floors as there's no signage posted. - TVs do not allow you to use the HDMI ports to plug in your own devices. - Downstairs restaurant seems to be overpriced for what it is. - No free breakfast in the morning.

  • 4/5 Jeffrey D. 2 years ago on Google
Consistently good service. Room renovations are underway right now, but things aren't too noisy. There used to be better perks with rewards, but the free waters and complimentary breakfast buffet tickets are gone.

a bad experience to me. When I checked in, i was assigned to an unfurnitured room which seem like a storage room. After I asked the front desk, they changed me to another room. During the 5 days stay, the toilet got clogged for two times. After I checked out, I checked the receipt, they charge me one more night. If I do not need to reimburse this, i will just lose one night expense to them. Please check the receipt after you check out carefully

Comfortable accommodations but rooms could use an update. Staff was friendly and explained everything in the hotel in detail. Nice fitness center and pool. Even with construction going on in the parking lot, there was still plenty of parking in the garage. The bar/restaurant is quite nice with good food and good service, but it is a bit pricey for what you get.

  • 2/5 Dan L. 1 year ago on Google
Laundry requires an AP or credit card information given to third party. They require you "load" the account and have a surcharge. If you try to get a refund on the app it directs you to a web page that doesn't exist. Hotel staff smiles and does nothing (lots of smiles). Oh, and after 2 HOURS clothes still wet. (Smiles and I'm sorry sir) In addition I had no hot water in one room so they moved me to another after much complaining. The new room it tales 20 minutes for the water to get hot in the morning (more smiles). No microwaves in the room (even Day's Inn has a freaking microwave) (smiles and yes sirs). I asked to talk to the manager last Sunday or that he get in touch on Monday (yes sir, smile, no manager). And I'm a Titanium Elite! On the plus side the rooms are nice, good facilities (except laundry and hot water of course). I have two more weeks here. If nothing changes time to cut up my Marriott card and move to Hilton or Airbnb.

Any time I work consecutive days in the Fremont area, I stay here. The staff are all very friendly, and the rooms are clean. The lounge is a nice place to unwind after a long day of work. The Bartenders are super nice, and are on top of their game! Great place to stay!

Spacious rooms, the only good feature. Shower rather cold. More hostel than hotel: Only four(!) seats in the whole lobby. Nice open restaurant area not available to just sit and relax.

  • 5/5 Amit M. 1 year ago on Google
Huge hotel, but the way it's built makes it feel moderate size, even cozy. Amenities are modern, and expected. Breakfast is generous with a wide selection of everything from bread, bagels, porridge, eggs, yogurt, pastries, fruit, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and an omelette corner where you can build your own and a chef cooks it for you on the spot.

  • 4/5 Shalu D. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel was the only high rise one in the area so became my first choice. The room was very good size and so was the bathroom, though there was no bath tub. The first day right after checkin I came to an unprepared room with mattress on the floor and bedding in the shower, had to wait another half hour to get keys for replacement room. Otherwise the stay was hassle free, breakfast was above average and the staff was polite. There is ample parking, in garage and outside. Nice location right by the highway and Tesla factory.

A good standard Marriott as one would one find in many locations around the world. Rooms were clean. Reasonable views. When I checked in the in room safe wasn’t working batteries had to be replaced and hotel staff took care of it right away. Good location and being in Fremont (home to Tesla plant) which itself being a nice town makes it very convenient. There are some nice parks nearby & went to Elizabeth park to enjoy the CA sunshine and take a walk. Two points which in my mind doesn’t make it a five star hotel. Breakfast was quite bland. Even average Marriott Courtyards in Europe have better breakfast bar with cheese selection, a better selection of fruits, fresh squeezed juice (not the frozen kind with lots of sugar). And Bread. Not sure when Marriotts in US will step up to this standard. Also while checking in you are charged $75/night incidentals to cover for anything broken or supposedly you smoke. If there isn’t anything unusual the charge doesn’t show up in the final bill. Found it a bit unusual have been a Marriott traveler for over twenty years.

Ended up getting a room here because my mom was transferred to the hospital here in Fremont for an emergency brain surgery and my dad and I wanted a place with an indoor pool/hot tub so we could try and relax while all this is going on. The staff was extremely kind and the facilities are amazing for the price. Highly recommend.

I had a negative experience with booking a wedding block at this hotel. I would not recommend Brittney. The sales team was very quick to answer me before signing the contract for the room block. But once the contract was signed and i had additional modifications, their communication was incredibly slow and poor. In addition, they overcharged us for the suites and it took weeks to get the charges resolved.

I asked for extra pillows at 5:45, two hours later nobody will answer the front desk phone and still no pillows. The hotel was not busy at all, although only one person was working the front desk. The rooms themselves are beautiful. However, no microwave, no freezer, and the TV's have about 30 channels, but no internet apps like other all the other Marriott brand hotels I have visited (I'm Platinum Elite so I've been to a lot of Marriott hotels). I am not impressed, extremely disappointing.

There was a problem at check-in with payment on the room, when our room was paid for by our company. The room cleanliness was poor: mold on the tile in the bathroom, toilet was not cleaned, room was dusty. The TV channel selection terrible… no HBO. One of the furniture in the room was broken. No room service the entire time of our stay. Front desk service was okay but definitely could be better. They also charged the company card instead the personal card, making a huge inconvenience. We wish our stay was better. The food in the restaurant is mediocre for the price. The only good thing about this hotel is the drinks at the bar and the smell of the lobby.

The guest host Brian Lee is amazing. We usually stay here for work purposes and we always request Brian to help us out. The only downfall is that we got our work tools stolen from our work truck in the parking lot. Our work tools and boxes were chained up to out truck and they still took them.
