Very busy area… nice pool w pool bar.. this hotel is in the centre of everything.. shopping , sports bars with big screens playing all the popular sports…restaurants that every type of food imaginable and across from the beach… A lot of British and Irish staying in the area…you won’t need a car. The front desk people seem burnt out so you have to be patent…the elevators take forever… wheelchair assess, no parking … they suggest a lot that’s only 2 blocks away and a reasonable rate! It’s a clean hotel, but it’s old… kid and family friendly lots of seniors

Brilliant location, most of the staff were great. Some of the rules at the roof top pool and bar were stupid! Rooms are small but modern. Great resort

A nice hotel in a great location. Reception staff were fantastic. Room was comfortable and clean as was the lobby area. The only negative is the other communal areas were tired and in need of updating.

After reading mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel and was slightly apprehensive about our stay. However on arrival I was pleasantly surprised - the entrance is really modern and clean (which is usually a good sign) and reception staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a seaview double room which had an amazing view of the beach and the marina. The room was super clean and very modern. All the facilities were great; air con, shower etc. And the bed was really comfy. The only downside to the rooms is that the toilet and shower area are only separated from the bedroom by a glass door so there isn't much privacy. Breakfast was fantastic with tons of choice of cooked and continental options. The pool area was also great with beautiful panoramic views of Fuengurola. It is a fairly small pool area so we had to get upstairs and get sun loungers first thing. Also you're not able to take any food or drink up to the pool area including water which was a bit of a surprise, so we ended up spending €8 a day on water alone. The hotel is in a fantastic location - tons of restaurants on the street behind it, lots of great activities and excursions in the area and nearby, supermarkets and shops are within walking distance and it's right by the beach too. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again!

Not sure of rooms. Came here again for beverages on rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Arrived to see most tables with one or 2 people, rude, abrupt server says you have to wait. You cannot stand. Then, short wait later, got a table. Then NOTHING. Ignored for 15 minutes. We finally went to the bar, and informed, that it's last call, and the bar closes in 15 minutes. Managed to convince them to pour a wine and beers, bit absolutely ignorant approach to "customer service." How about simply saying you can sit, but we close in 30 minutes, and if you wish a drink, come on up to bar?

Very noisy cleaners scraping furniture accross the floor every morning having no respect for people having a lie in and loud on the corridors. Didnt realise it was a golfing hotel as they took the bar up at night and lifts were very slow. We didnt even have tea making facilities in our room and a kettle was 5 euros a day to hire. Ridiculous.

The perfect hotel and room for a couple's getaway. Stunning views across the beach, so close to bars and restaurants, and we really lucked out getting a room with a balcony that faces right across the sea and the roof pool. Rooms really clean and modern, with air con which is an essential and such a treat! Beds nice and firm, so comfortable. Would recommend this hotel in a flash!

Not worth its price. -No free parking In the area at all - small rooms with open tiny bathroom (not suistable for family) no intimacy - no water no tissue in the room, no boiler no fridge … - breakfast not suistable for vegetarians or non porc consumer Cheese disposed In between porc platers - Lift access for restaurant blocked and no easy to find for people with people disabilities - front desk personal not helpful and be able to give basic information on the region activities « his answer was : sorry I don’t live in Fuengirola » Really expensive for what it is 500€/3 nights with breakfast !

We booked the Hotel El Purto with bed and breakfast with Travel Republic 25/06/22 to 02/07/22. This was for a relaxing holiday in the sun after nearly 3 years away from going abroad. We went out of school holidays when mostly adults holiday in hotels in Fuengirola. We stayed here about 5 years ago, and we knew it can be a bit noisy, and the rooms are a bit rough around the edges. Everything though was fine, Sunday and Monday breakfast nice and relaxed. Sunday was really chilled around the "Sky Bar" poolside. It's in a great central spot opposite the beach. It was lovely until multiple coach loads of kids turned up as a high profile football tournament (boys around 8 - 15 years old) had booked most of the hotel out. After lots of noise and out of control kids, we complained and we're moved to another part of the hotel, it was quieter but it still wasn't right, It was a nice chilled out pool, but then it was overrun by screaming children and coaches and it was hard to get a sunbed. Also if you wanted to chill in reception this lot had taken the place over, it was just chaos. They were there all week Monday - Friday. And breakfast was chaotic and LOUD! It was just overwhelming every morning for the full session. It was meant to be a nice relaxing holiday but it was just stressful. We are in the process of getting compensation. It was like something off of Holiday Nightmares, honestly. I think the hotel manager was not caring about the usual clientele, but more concerned about financial gain whatever the cost to customers. I don't think it was a one off as they were promoting the football tournament outside the hotel Friday evening, much to our annoyance! I won't be staying here again, as it spoiled our break away. I would advise anyone to avoid it like the plague, unless you like hundreds of screaming kids around on a couples retreat!

A decent hotel located by the beach, but there were a few things to complain about. The rooms have no bedside tables. No kettle in the room. The toilets are open planned with just a small glass screen for very limited privacy. Loud banging late at night. They don't provide an iron, and instead expect you to use their laundry service. Other than the above everything was good, and the rooms were clean.

On Friday 2nd February 24 I went into the hotel with my husband to have a cocktail in the roof top bar as we often do. There was a notice in the lobby to say the bar was closed, but I needed to use the ladies bathroom. There were no toilets in the lobby bar. There was a sign saying they were upstairs. I was halfway up when the man on reception asked where I was going. I explained we were going to the roof top bar but it was closed and I really needed to go to the ladies toilet, but he said no! He said we have to have drank, not just buy, a drink in the lobby bar before we could use the toilet. I am in my mid 60s and can't wait that long! I said this is unacceptable and he came running around the lobby and ushered us out the hotel. We are both pensioners and found his behaviour absolutely disgusting. I always thought it was Spanish law that you could use toilets when necessary in bars, restaurants, hotels etc. The hotel unfortunately does not have a complaints section on there website. We will not be hurrying back, lots of other places!

Right on the seafront and within walking distance to the train and bus stations. It's near the marina and to the plaza where the church is. It was a sort of fiesta while we were there so that was a bonus! The rooms are adequate with hairdryer in the bathroom, quite a few sockets in the bedroom, with the grey painted walls it looks modern. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was that the bathroom didn't have a solid wall, just a glass wall with a wide section etched and if someone was in bed first the light would shine in the room. The food was okay, you could always find something you liked! Sometimes you had a bit of a wait for the lifts. The staff were lovely. We only went to the pool to have a look but didn't use it. It's the second time we were there, mainly as we had a package with Jet2.

The hotel was brilliant. The rooms were very clean, with a lovely balcony which looks down onto the marina, waterfront and beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The Sky Lounge with the pool was excellent even though the water was a bit cold. As the hotel rooms are in two circular towers with the three lifts in the centre, some may find this strange, but we found it not a problem and a quirky feature of the hotel. We loved the hotel so much that we are staying again in October, as there is no better location with the widest selection of restaurants around the hotell. We were also able to catch the train from Malaga Airport which only cost us under €3.00 to Fuengirola railway station which is only 6/7 minute walk from the hotel. Hope you too have a wonderful stay at the Hotel El Puerto?

Great hotel staff where very helpful food was one of the very best we have had in a hotel. Location was excellent very central. The down falls where bathroom in your room was not very private, the pool was deep all round not good for young children you had to pay extra for a safe and a fridge €50for a week. Sun beds where very limited. But overall 7/10

Fantastic hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better location, near so many restaurants, bars and beautiful beach. Only downside was pool could've been better. Very small, very strict rules at poolside and very windy as up on the rooftop.

Hotel el puerto gives you the best views from the pool, plus it is a prime location and the rooms are very clean. The only negative i would point out is that you don’t get a fridge, but you can rent one.

This hotel was second on my short list due to its excellent position and fantastic rooftop bar and pool, you can use the skybar as a none resident too, however part of the roof top is for patrons only which is only fair.

Reception staff on arrival not very friendly. Or when we left just get in and pay before you leave. Rooms very basic nothing to shout about, shower pressure very low. Breakfast average hot food was cold, staff not very welcoming, no good morning, just whats your room number! Best part by far was the sky bar, clean, brilliant views very friendly, pleasant staff!

Great location. It's a circle formation so not every room has ocean views. Check in was long as 2 people but only 1 guy doing check ins. Room was about 55 degrees above with no AC. Small rooms with only 1 table. No bedside tables. The bathroom was tiny, not private and the toilet was almost in the shower. Not good for long stays or families. Very loud doors.

This hotel is in a great location, in the heart of everything. It has an amazing rooftop pool bar and beds. The rooms could do with a bit of TLC and modernising. The breakfast here was excellent and all the staff couldn't be more helpful over all a very nice hotel.

Located in a really good spot, as close to the beach as you can get, opposite a tourist info place etc In my opinion, for the money, unless you need to feel extra special this hotel is all you could ask for. I’d like to give it 5 stars but my friend’s room had several issues with bits being broken etc and also, like many hotels near busy areas there can be a lot of noise from the streets below which isn’t great

We spent 3 nights in Hotel El Puerto for our wedding anniversary. It's a lovely hotel in a great location in Fuengirola, Costa Del Sol. The rooms are nice and modern, but basic. The service I can't really rate because we didn't have much of an encounter with the staff. I think we had 4 in total, check in, check out and going for breakfast twice. All those times the service was good. The only thing I would say is we informed the hotel it was for a special occasion, but they didn't acknowledge it at all or do special requests for occasions.

Stayed here for 6 nights as part of a a package holiday. We were on 12th floor. Location of Hotel was great and staff/room service were good, no complaints. Hotel rooms were small but good views from balcony. However the room walls were thin/bad sound insulation so we could hear people talking in other rooms and got disturbed through out the night. This wasn't pleasant. My only other issue was that the lifts were abit weird (press button to go down but stops on way up). Overall a good experience though - I would stay again.

Location is amazing for this hotel nice friendly staff with good service, only negative experience are the bedrooms they are a bit small with glass panels around the bathroom and they need to be refurbished as there seem to have been a lot of water damage in the bathroom from older times. We had a lovely view from our small balcony 😍

The bathroom needs to be renovated cause of damage from water/steam. Food is not recomendable. Good beds and very good location. Its a little warn out in general but the reception area are updated. And theres the skybar to enjoy. Also theres a lot of noise from outside and the hallways.

We only used the Sky Bar and not the hotel itself. The hotel location is superb for exploring, eating and drinking and basically enjoying life. Just outside and across the street is the tourist train. Maybe not the cheapest option to see whats around you but certainly worth doing if only once.

The hotel is super outdated and you can hear every single noise from neighbours. Staff is okay with guests playing loud music and smoking weed in their rooms, taking no action other than offering us a new room, twice. Air conditioning was broken in two of three rooms we stayed in, one room did not have a fridge while the others had one. The hotel is undergoing elevator renovations and 2 out of 3 are out of order. The remaining one and the service elevator are very outdated and feel dangerous. The renovation noise will wake you up early, after a sleepness night of the neighbour's drug party. During our stay of 5 nights we've spent at least 20 minutes waiting for an elevator. Avoid this hotel at all cost, the cheap price is not worth the frustration and ruining your holiday.
