I was at this hotel because of its close location to the train station. Very close then go to the train station and go to the airport. I didn't even have time to take a picture of the room, I only took a couple of screenshots from my video, the room itself is very small. I think it has no more than 20 square meters. An ordinary double bed, a shower stall and a toilet right at the door to the exit to the corridor...which is not very right... In general, the price was about 250 lei per night + breakfast. The choice of breakfast for properly eating people is zero. I could only find lettuce leaves with cucumbers and tomatoes not the first freshness. Personally, my rating is 2. No more than 1 star due to the location, 2 stars for a clean room. There were a lot of people at the reception desk at the time of arrival. But the working staff is quite calm and patient to all customers

After a long hot train journey needed a hotel near to the station. All good. The staff dealt with enquiries quickly but pleasantly. Basic but comfortable room. Air conditioning worked well. Good to see that the window opened, which could be useful at other times of the year. Tasty breakfast, in an adjacent building. Able to store luggage the next day until I was ready to leave the city - a very useful service.

Excellent hotel with professional and friendly staff, clean rooms, very good coffee and nice and fresh breakfast! Ideal location to visit the city, with connections to all means of public transportation and direct link to the airport by train-just a 20 min ride. Great services, congratulations!

Had a great stay, staff is super kind, the hotel is basic but basic is what I needed. Breakfast is excellent and I also had a very decent lunch for a good price, considering the city I was in.

As mentioned the room has AC but unfortunately when I called to mention that the room is hot the answer was simply "open the window we don't have AC". The trian is passing by every 5 M so the sauna in the room is much better than opening the window. Last time to stay in this hotel. Thank you.

Basic hotel. Best feature is it's proximity to the train station (approximately 5 minutes). Basic double bed and ok shower. Awkwardly placed separate toilet. Very slow wifi. No amenities in the room. Didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment. The lunch special was very good for 30LEI. Service very friendly and fast. I checked in at midnight with no issues.

We stayed in a standard room with breakfast included. The staff was nice and available, but the room configuration was not great... No bathroom separated from the bedroom, the shower just has a glass door looking on the bed, there is a sink in the middle of the room and the worst is the toilet with also a glass door that has an opening on top of the door... Not great for intimacy... There's no real curtains it's just 4 pieces of fabric to layer on each other and there wasn't a real blanket on the bed either, we had had 2 small blankets... The breakfast was not great so I think the price is a bit expensive for the services we got...

The room smells, the bathroom door is almost nonexistent and it is leaking below it, toilet door is almost nonexistent, the sink is in the room, sheets don’t smell clean, one of the towels had unwashed stains and you can hear the guys from above when they flush their toilet. You decide if you want to spend a night there. :)

The rooms, in their attempt to be smartly utilated, are totally unsuitable for any use. The toilet door is half a glass sheet and you can see over it at 170cm or taller, intimacy is 0. It is barely impossible to enter or leave the toilet and close the door if you’re not a sheet of paper. You have to step on the toilet to have room for the door to open/close. Someone really thought that a door should open inside a 0x6x0.6 meters…. Gg bro.. The shower doors are useles and the shower is fixed in a position in which, with doors properly closed, after a 5min shower the whole room is flooded. It fullfills the purpose of sleeping 1 compromise night and running away. Would not recommend for longer.. Rooms were clean, toilet cleaning was lacking (you could see the huge dark-brown unclean dirt at the edges and under them).. i doubt the sanitization of that

I have no complaints about the service or location. In my opinion there is only one disadvantage - separate toilet and shower in the room. In general this hotel is definitely fine for its price.

Had such a lovely weekend staying at this hotel, it's the perfect location! Breakfast was good with a lot of choice and the blonde female receptionist was so helpful with everything

Great location, value, and the BEST staff! Located just minutes from Gara de Nord (Bucharest North Rail Station) Hello Hotel is the place to stay. Fantastic staff do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Room sizes for the solo backpacker up to a large family, Hello Hotel has something for everyone. Offers a delicious breakfast, and even late night desserts in the lobby cafe. Want to get out? Head south the historic Old Town, just a 40 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride. If coming to Bucharest make Hello Hotel your choice!

Good hotel for shorter stays, nice views on the city. Staff is professional and friendly, the only shocker might be shower and toilet in the room, just behind a glass semi door. But once you get used to it, it's quite fine.

+ Clean, value for money room. For a short stay, a very good budget friendly choice. The toilet and the shower are in two different cabins, but it's very room-saving and efficient if you're not toilet shy with your spouse. The room had HD TV and the other guests were very respectful. We didn't have any problems with noise etc. - Breakfast was poor, and even though the breakfast room was at the Continental Hotel next door (the more expensive hotel) the variety, the quality, the quantity and the breakfast room itself were disappointing. Also, the view was totally unpleasant, but oh well.

Been there briefly. Very nice staff. I think the hotel is pet friendly because I saw a gentleman with his pug in the elevator. Good coffee.

The room didn’t have hot water for two days straight, and no slippers, shampoo or shower gel. Plus the smell was like a hospital.

Close to North station very nice and handy if you come by plane. Breakfast was very good. There was however a probleem with the water. We couldn't shower in the morning and there wasn't any compensation.

It is a good hotel, situated close to the main railway station and also close to several subway stations. I have stayed there twice in the past week. My first stay was on 5th floor. The room was decent, warm, with confortable bed and clean sheets, but the carpet was wet and the shower and the floor were dirty. There was a bad smell in the shower. I found several pieces of hair - on the table and in the shower cabin. My second stay was on the 3rd floor. The room was much better, the carpet was dry, the floor was heated -wonderful feeling after a long day walking in the rain; The water pressure-very good; no bad smell in the shower cabin, which was pretty clean. The receptionists were very helpful. If the rooms were cleaned properly, this hotel would be perfect.

This is an excellent hotel! The staff speak very good English and they are efficient. They make guests feel very welcome. I booked a reservation online and paid in cash at the desk on arrival and everything was perfect. So they are clear and reliable. The room is very clean and fresh with a great selection of English TV channels including CNN, BBC Prime, and movie channels. The bedding is very good quality. The room is also big with a nice view of the city. Rooms are far bigger in this hotel than in Swedish hotels, for example. If you're working remotely then the hotel's free wifi internet is fast and totally reliable which isn't the case in many hotels. Safety is excellent and there's a key card system so you're safe at all times. My room was also very quiet and peaceful even though the hotel was busy. Importantly, there's a metro station right outside the hotel and there's a direct line to Piata Uniri and the Old Town on line M1. This is the best hotel if you're coming from the airport because you take the airport train (20 mins) from the airport to Gara De Nord and the hotel is then just 2 minutes walk from the station. So easy! Breakfast is very nice with eggs, sausages, salad, cheeses, and different meats and fruit. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The bar is very good with beers for just 12 lei and delicious sandwiches and cakes. Lufthansa lost my bag in Frankfurt and the great staff in this hotel kept my bag for me when it was delivered. The customer service is excellent in every way. I didn't have a 220 socket to recharge my phone and the guy on the hotel reception tried his best to give me a spare and then instructions where to buy one. Really helpful. The staff always answer questions and do their best. This is really appreciated. This is a high quality hotel and I give it 10 out of 10 because it exceeded my expectations in every way. There are hotels that charge 700 lei per night but they don't give the lovely service standards that this great hotel offers. Thank you for such a nice stay in Bucharest and for giving such a positive image of Romania.

Good place for two nights as the rooms are not the most comfortable. However, the location is very convenient. I would recommend it for a city getaway, but not for longer stays.

  • 4/5 Josef W. 11 months ago on Google
It is a good value accommodation in the near middle of Bucharest next to North station which is within walking distance. Thus all points for that. They do however serve a breakfast which, in my eyes, you can skip and go outside to another place to enjoy. Their breakfast ist nothing special and very basic with very limited vegetarian options. For the rest I totally recommend this place.

For a traveller that arrive at Otopeni airport and want to stay a night or more in Bucuresti before going up to Transylvania by train, the Hello hotel is a very good option. It is located some 200-300 meters away from Gara de Nord. The metro station is just 50m away from the hotel

Clean. Tidy. Enough room for two. There is air conditioning, heater. There is not enough lighting. There is no separate bathroom, i.e. the toilet is not separated from the common room.

Great location, staff, breakfast. There is no room service so a 1 STAR. The room is cleaner that most of the hotels I have stayed in around Gara de nord, but the are too small for a standard room for example, feels like a cube the the rates It gets 3 STARS because of the toilet I think they can do better, a bit of black molds which some proper cleaning with domestos would have done the trick 😁 The room walls are very thin guys and you can hear a lot 🤔 Ha! Almost forgot the mattress in my room is gone, sink you right in, i toss and turn all night. I will be getting a massage when I get home🙈 Will I come back? Not so sure!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hello Hotel Gara de Nord, and would definitely be back again if I ever returned to Bucharest. The hotel is basic but covers everything you need. The room was clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping team empty bins and quickly clean round each day. The internet is fine for working, and the breakfast (if you choose this option) is decent, with unlimited tea and coffee and all different hot and cold items. The location is close to the main train station and you can walk or metro to old town in about forty minutes. It's also a short walk from Herastrau Park which is beautiful and well worth visiting. The staff are helpful and speak good English. All in all, I highly recommend.

I've chosen the hotel based on proximity to the train station. It's an economical option. Pros: easy access to metro/train station Very clean Receptionists nice and competent Good breakfast Affordable Cons: Thin walls, sometimes there were people in the hallway talking Weak wifi signal Overall given how affordable the hotel is, it was a good option for what it had to offer

It's a nice place, pretty simple and clean. I love the dessert and the breakfast buffet. Not to far from the subway/metro public transportation. Walking distance only. Receptionist are pretty helpful too. I'll come back here for sure.

Great coffee shop with helpful friendly staff. Enjoyed their dessert and coffee offer. Great price for a tasty treat. Indoor and lightly air conditioned. They also do icecream.

Locationwise, it was perfect. Room was spacious and comfortable. Cleaned and organized. Staff was helpful and polite. The shower was bad. There was no sealing in the lower part of the door, which caused a minor flooding in the apartment.

The hotel I'll go forever just because the customer service is 10/10, let alone the fact that they do early/late ckeck-in - check-out at the most convenient price.

  • 1/5 Xiangpeng K. 2 years ago on Google
There is no water in the water dispenser in the lobby, and the female front desk asked me to go to the bar or store to buy water, so why is there a water dispenser? Is this a hotel in the capital? The wifi in the room has no signal at all, and the quality of the female front desk staff is low!

Some things definitely could be improved, e. g.:when taking a shower, water leaks into the room(I suppose it was just my room), bit outdated furniture. Overall wasn't bad for a 2 star.

  • 4/5 Mihai M. 2 years ago on Google
Hotel located very close to the main train station of the city. Quiet and clean room, with a minimalist, yet functional design. AC operational, flat screen TV, hair dryer. Toileteries included. The towels were a bit worn, yet clean. Shower’s doors let the water drip out of the cabin. Perfect for back-packers or city explorers who just need to rest after a full day. The staff was kind and helpful.

  • 4/5 Tanvi S. 1 year ago on Google
Economical hotels for backpackers and budget travellers, although the service provided is good. You get a filling breakfast included in the package. The rooms are good, but the water comes out of the shower into the room. Else it’s a good budget hotel in the central Bucharest.

Clean and Modern. It's a 2 star hotel, but it feels like more. Nice rooms, very friendly and courteous front desk staff. Housekeeping staff were very polite. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet and ever so close to the main railway station which suited me.. Already booked my next visit. I love this hotel

I have stayed at this hotel before. first time i was skeptical, but I was wrong. I got to reception, and i was greeted as it should be in every hotel. I got my room key and surprised I got to see how clean and cozy the room was.

I stayed only one night. My opinion: + 1) the room was clean 2) the view from the window was nice (we stayed at 4 floor). The higher the better - 1) room itself and toilet doesn't have a solid wall 2) shower is located next to the bed, in one meter (not in a separate room) 3) there were only 3 charging sockets in our room

  • 4/5 Jeff T. 1 year ago on Google
The hallways were a bit smelly and dark. Honestly if I hadn't stayed here before I would have been more concerned. The room was as expected- simple and clean. The bed was the hardest I had in my two weeks in Romania (most of the beds were hard to me but this was uncomfortable). It was a good stay for one night but I would look elsewhere for a longer stay. Staff as usual were excellent.

  • 4/5 Rune W. 1 year ago on Google
Nice and clean rooms, a little worn and the shower solution includes a rug for soaking up the water that leaks out on the floor. AC is great, which made return to the room to cool down when Bucharest was too hot.

  • 3/5 Tuula V. 1 year ago on Google
We arrived at the hotel late because our flight was over an hour late. It was hot weather and we wanted to buy water bottles, the young man at the reception said he can't sell because his cash register doesn't work? We would have left money in Romanian currency, so he could have deposited the money in the cash register the next morning. There was no alternative for him. We found this to be very unfriendly service.
