A day you won’t forget! The day we spent with Florin exploring the Romanian countryside is one of our favourite experiences in the country (we have lived in Romania for two years now and we travel a lot). The mountains he took us to were stunning; the peace and beauty was unmatched. On the path, we encountered shepherds with their sheep and dogs. The sheep are beautiful, but I was afraid of the dogs, but Florin is super prepared to deal with them in the most graceful way while providing safety for us. Florin himself is a dream of a tour provider: He loves the outdoors, the people and the culture and he knows tons of history! Also, he is a really good and safe driver. On top of that, he was excellent at giving us time to relax, by giving us space and allowing us to enjoy the silence and decompress while offering interesting information and fun conversation! My husband and I truly enjoyed his company and the experience that he made possible for us. My first time visiting Romania and found Florin on Google search while researching places to visit. He brought us to Transfagarasan and share stories of this place and let us experienced the fun like a local. We even get to build a little snowman and play with the snow for the 1st time. We visited Castelul Corvinilor at Hunedoara and Alba Lulia hilltop fortress where we saw the 2 grand churches, Romania Orthodox Church and Romania Catholic Cathedral. Florin shared the history of Romania and stories of the beautiful places we visited. He is the best guide you can find if you want to learn about Romania. And he loves children and my 6 yr old loves to chat with him.

I enjoyed an evening walking tour of the old city center. Florin was a wonderful guide, and very considerate of my age and ability. He provided a clear and concise overview, and then highlighted historical and cultural buildings and areas. He added in some fun legends along the way. I’m excited to go back now and explore on my own.

Florin is an excellent guide. We had a brilliant time climbing Moldoveanu Peak and listening to his wisdom of the wild. We had two separate bespoke day trips from Sibiu with Florin Ionescu, one to Sarmisegetuza & Corvin Castle and the other one to Transfagarasan. Florin was punctual when collecting us from our accommodation, and a very safe driver when taking us through the Ro roads. Being a local guide, Florin has in-depth knowledge of the area's history,  flora & fauna, combining factual information with legends and myths,  thus adding an extra level of enjoyment when touring with him! Florin took us to some magical, secret picnic spots by the river, where he proceeded to make the perfect coffee on the camping stove ! :) The two days spent with Florin,  were most enjoyable and a highlight of our holiday and we would definitely consider touring with him again!

I spent 5 days in total with Florin – with several day trips in Sibiu surroundings, and with the most impressive 2 days tour over the Carpathian mountains along Transalpina and Transfagarasan roads. It was absolutely pleasant time in a company of very friendly guy, sharing my own interests in travelling and cooking. Among other places, it was very nice to visit the Pastoral Museum in Jina village and to be invited by the museum's host Mrs Ileana to have some conversation (over the cheese with tomatoes) – and to feel that your guide is the welcome guest here. During all these days Florin was very attentive and helpful, and even several days later, already after the tour, he was so kind to help me with the reservation for me of a bus seat. I will highly recommend Florin as a guide.

I did a day trip tour of the Făgărași mountains and Florin accommodated me last minute (a solo traveler who called the day before on a spontaneous need for mountain therapy while visiting grandparents in Romania). It was an amazing experience I will never forget. He's fair, quick, very responsive and extremely attentive. He's also an excellent driver with a very reliable car. Florin not only shared his local knowledge about the Făgărași mountains, Sibiu, and the entire region but he's a pleasant human to be around. We even dropped by this interesting Hobbit-like home on the river. He picked and dropped me off at my hostel and was extremely flexible throughout--doesn't feel at all like you're on a tour, but visiting a gorgeous place with a well versed and knowledgeable friend. I shared his contact with all my good friends and family, in Romania and abroad, and I would totally do the tour again.

In December Florin gave our group a full experience of Sibiu. The stories told, even if they were complemented by a lot of historical data, had the quality of keeping us connected and introducing us to the atmosphere and historical stages of Sibiu's development. Florin was our tour guide. He is like a pal more than a guide. Our train was midnight. He advised us to change to new station at 18pm instead. It was very helpful to make us not hanging 6 hours at the station in -6 degrees. Also he was very kind to make sure that we are ok, not just dropping after the tour. He made us fell in love with Romania even more!
