Luna Beach home and cabanas gave me the best Sri Lankan experience I can hope for. The cabanas are beach front so you fell aslept by the soothing wave every night. Adding to that, the owner is a former head chef, the breakfast, lunch and dinner are authentice and the best food I had in Sri Lanka! Oh did I mention everything come in a very reasonable price! Overalll, 5 star hotel experience at hostel price! Sorry if I sound too much of a hard sell. Highly recommend this place!

I come here gor 5 days,but i liket it so much that i extendet the stay by over than a week....That accomodation is perfect,very close to the beach,basic and very,very clean. It is an family busssiness,whith extraordinary people,i have rarely encountered in my journeys.... The food was,by far,one of the best i've had in Sri Lanka. Many tourists,who are not accomodation here,come to eat in this place because the food its excellent. I recommend Luna Beach ,whith pleasure,to everybody,whitout any hesitation.

Very nice place to stay! With gorgeous food(breakfast including)and view! The family is so sweet, very helpful and they do their best to keep us happy. The cabanas are big enough and everything is provided. I can recommend this place if you are looking for chill out day's at the beach. But also some nice places are around to discover. Love the stay in Luna beach cabanas.

Definitely recommendable!!! The owners exceptionally loving, kind and helpful. Food they cook delicious, views from the cabin is simply beautiful. The beach next door is wide and not so besieged with tourists. All in all, the place 10/10! 🥰👌🏻❤️

We stayed there for one day an actually everything was fine until we had to pay. There was a small foam surf board where the foam inside the covering plastic was already half broken, so it was inevitably that the foam would brake. And of course it did after our kids played with it for a few times in the water. It was still usable as the plastic cover kept it together. They charged us 1500 rupees and didn't even mention it before we had to pay for our stay! Nor did we get to keep the board and we are not sure what's the real price for it! So be careful if you use their stuff! ANSWER TO OWNER: As already mentioned, the hard foam inside was already loose and fragile when we got the board the first time. This is what we, and our two boys, experienced when we arrived. It was not broken yet, but it was inevitably that it would break! As we thought it was an old fragile board with little value we did not think of telling you that the foam was now fully broken inside the cover. We did not try to hide anything. The reason you did not hear anything from our boys, is because they did not understand what we were talking about, when we had to pay. When we told them in the car they were frustrated and said: "The board was already half broken when we got it." Nobody hit any rocks and we only used it in the water, so how could it brake if not because it was already "half broken"?? Actually I am very surprised that you are accusing me and my boys of lying. The amount we had to pay is very little for us, so the reason for this review is because we felt that you treated us unfairly. Maybe you should look inward and admit that you had not checked this surf board properly before you lent it to us?

I really liked the hospitality, location, and food at Luna Beach Home & Cabanas. The food was great and served expertly by the host and his family, who were all attentive, friendly, and cannot be faulted. The beach is largely devoid of people, and is on the doorstep - It's roar is surprisingly loud! Outside the front/entrance of the hotel is the road to Galle - thankfully it's not a loud road (or it is and the sound of the ocean drowns it out). The place is about 15mins tuk tuk from Galle station, which is about 500-600r. The owners brother was usually on hand with his tuk tuk to give us a ride to town if needed. For the above mentioned things, I'd give Luna Beach *5. However, bringing the overall score/experience down a bit was my room (room #5 which had an ensuite bathroom) - we booked the ensuite room which turned out to be a concrete room rather than a Cabana. It was very warm, and very musty/damp - the bathroom needs ventilation. I struggled to sleep both nights, so I'd only rate it *3. However, the shared bathrooms looked clean and were rarely occupied, so I'd highly recommend getting room #1 or #2 which are small Cabanas overlooking the water - the other rooms all have obscured/no views. If I'd been in either of these rooms, I'd have been thrilled, and would definitely award Luna Beach *5. Luna Beach had only been open 7 months when I visited, and I think/hope it will go from strength to strength. I really liked the place and its owner.

Unbelievable place. Grab the top room overlooking the beach! Owners are great, very cheap and very private.

We heard about the place from friends and went there just for dinner and it was amazing. The best food we hat so far in Sri Lanka. Even if you don't stay at the place for the night, go there for the food!!! 😃

We had dinner there a few times and food was always fantastic and quiet cheap. The host and his family are really nice and good to talk to.

Found this golden spot in a mid of crisis and I couldn't be more greatful for having me there. The host was such a nice guy with a huge knowledge about srilankan heritage and history. he literally helped us so much to plan our holiday and we would be in a mess if he and his family wasn't there for us. The room that we choose was so cute it had everything anyone would need for daily needs and that was literally right infront of the beach.I really loved the colour that they have used, so eye- comforting. Their food were the best meal I have ever had in srilanka the taste would give worth to every penny you are spending for that. Definitely gonna come back:)

It is such a lovely and welcoming place. The Cabanas are so nice and clean and it is right in front of the beach so you can fall asleep and wake up by the sound of the sea. The Family does everything to make their guests happy. We stayed twice there because we loved it so much and the second time we arrived very late , around 11pm, and still they gave us welcoming drinks plus made us even dinner.I felt like home there. I don't even want to start about the food. It was the best food we had in Sri Lanka , the breakfast which is included was soooooo delicious i'm still dreaming of it :-) All in All its the best Place to stay and relax in Sri Lanka ! If I could i would give you one million stars.
