    I also experienced a very bad customer experience here. I also noticed that many others have commented on having a similar experience. Despite other private hospitals charging higher rates, many people/patients still come to this hospital. The hospital administration should seriously consider the professional development of their staff, otherwise the hospital's reputation will continue to be notorious for being in this state.

    Horrible place. The staff took my friend’s passport as she checked in and basically kept it until we paid the bill. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE!!! 50,650LKR for changing a wound dressing (she was in emergency room for half an hour). Also the whole place is dirty - toilets haven’t s en a cleaner for weeks, all the sheets in emergency room are being used for the same clients over and over again. Worst experience for ridiculous amount of money.

    For a any inquary over the phone definitely you should dial more than 10 times. This hospital is shame for hospital services in Sri Lanka. They don't care about customers relationships manners.

    When someone goes to the doctor at the Co-operative Hospital Galle for treatments, they follow a very funny method. Patients should take off their shoes when entering the consulting room, but this rule does not apply to doctors and nurses. They can walk around the hospital as they wish and re-enter the room. At the very least, if the shoes are taken off, patients should be given shoes to wear in the examination room. Dr. Saman Wimalasundera said that patients would not be examined if their shoes were not removed, downplaying his profession. However, it is not surprising that such incidents occur in a country that does not follow the theme of one country, one law.

    Front desk staff behave so impolitey and unprofessionally. They are showing lack of sentivity towards the customers. At least they should be taught the disciplines regarding customer service...How rude they are..They even didn't care when I said them that I would complain..Frustrated 😑

    Worst customer service ever. Receptionists in the OLD building, they don't know how to talk to their customers. I think they need a proper training on customer relations. Overall hospital service is not good. Can't satisfy with their service.

    This hospital is shame for hospital services in Sri Lanka. I don't know why they put co-operative hospital. In Sri Lanka, people go for co-operative shops to get something more cheaper price. The concept of co-operative is this in Sri Lanka. But this hospital is charging clients very expensive and unfair bills. As Sri Lankan, we know the prices. My Singapore client also went to this hospital and I didn't check the reviews before go to this hospital. After 1 and 1/2 in the hospital, they gave my client a bill of more than Rs.170,000/- where I cannot believe how they make the calculations. My client went to this hospital to get medicine for their daughter for little fever and cough. And it was travel sick and they did rafting and it was regular cold. But once we went there, the doctor suddenly admitted my client and there was a doctor so called specialist came and made a brain wash of my client. What was his explanation was that this situation can make pneumonia. We everybody know that, if the cold and fever neglect, it can cause pneumonia. But once we got medicines this is ok. But this doctor made afraid of my client and convinced her stay admitted. Then I checked what they are giving and it was just antibiotics and seline. And my client was very healthy and no need of seline. But as they want to keep her admitted in the hospital, they continued seline and after 1 and 1/2 day they issued above 170,000/- bill for this antibiotics and seline. This was very unfair. I was not able to get a photo of my client bill as we were busy that time. But I found the hospital has put another big bill for other client 192,000/- for dog bite just after my client's admitting. My client admitted to the hospital on 08th April. And the other client bill was on 11th April. As Galle is touristic area and many foreigners walking here and there, the hospital got extra opportunity to cheat patients coming there. Please try to avoid this hospital as they charge too much and it seems that doctors stealing money from patients coming there.

    I had an emergency and called my insurance company. They told me to come here. It was 11PM. I came but there was inly one doctor who said that he didn't know anything about international insurance and that I had to pay 5 000 rupies for help. So, there won't be any help for you during the night if your insurance company sends you here. Only people who will ask money.

    Happy to say they have worst calling center in Sri Lanka. If you try around 1 hour you can contact them. Most of the time they will not answer. And other times phone will not work. You can't put early appointments for doctors. If you need to put an appointment you should call them early morning in relavant date and reserve the number. As i mentioned earlier you have to spend a lot of time to call them. Horrible Front desk staff.

    I am happy that I have insurance what pay for me because "doctor" didn't help me... he even didn't try to find the reason of my high fever and chills for 4 days... I asked about blood test because I got bites of bees and mosquitos and they didnt send me a results! Horrible

    Scamming people while they are sick, what a horrible establishment. They admitted my partner when he only had influenza saying it was necessary, he was put into a room which had bed bugs in the mattress then we were given a ridiculous bill of over $1500 US for some aspirin and the nights stay. The least humane scam we have seen yet.

    The worst hospital i ever been! Staff here hating foreigners, and give wrong price. Service is awful. All hospital is very dirty without any ventilation. I standing on the line waiting for 1.5 hour and after they told the doctor didn’t accepts foreigners! I paid 7000 lkr for making ultrasound scan, they asked me lay down to bench without any dressing(inside room was doctor and 2 nurses), room was very dirty and small, and before me some other man was sitting on this bench, they not try to clean it and not give any cover for this dirty bench. After I asked they gave me dirty bedsheet from the floor, and didn’t any care ... NEVER TRY THIS PLACE !

    This is worst experience ever I had so far. Because of emergency I had to admit my wife here for her delivering the baby. When I go to the reception, they even don't know how many rooms are vacant. They don't care about customers relationships manners. And when I came to the room it was disaster. even don't have enough linen and then when we ask about it, they told we have to wait for the linen supplier.

    This place I would not call a hospital.. I brought my wife in for a high fever and strong chills. The “doctor” in what they call emergency room had no clue what to do, other than check my wife’s fever and blood pressure. Then the so called doctor had to call another doctor outside the hospital to advise her what to do. After that I was asked to pay 20,000 rupees because they said she had to be admitted. So I payed. We were taken to a filthy room which I had to convince my wife to stay in since we had to wait for a real doctor to arrive; we turned off the light to get a little shut eye because it was 12am and the doctor would only come at 7:30am. We woke up at about 4:30 am only to find our bodies full of musquito bites, a huge ugly spider webbing directly above our heads and to my surprise a cockroach that is about 5 inches tall on the bed chilling. My wife walked out of her hospital room and refused to stay one more second and we ended up in the street where there was no taxis or tuktuks anywhere. And finally when the doctor came he said everything is now fine and we can leave. In the end all they wanted was to charge me money cuz I’m a foreigner. The hospital is a huge scam and I would advise anyone who is thinking of coming here for treatment to go to any nearby pharmacy and get treated. It would cost a hell of a lot less and you would actually get treated. I hope no one goes threw what we went through.

    Very bad customer service. I visited Co Operative hospital on 30.10.2021 around 4.30 pm with my mother. We had very bad service at cashier no. 3. Since we are visiting hospital regularly we could tolerate the situation. But how could others. Cashier 's way of talking to customers is really bad.dear management, ask them to talk with patients in polite way.

    Very bad call center. Very difficult to get a call. They didn't answer. They are taking to customer as she talking with his husband. No any address. They are not giving clear details for appointment. They disconnect the call before ask any question regarding that. Very disappointed about this hospital

    I went to their yesterday with my little baby for treatment, baby was suffering asthma and wanted to nebulize, after the treatments I went to the cashier at their new stories building, I gave 5000 note and the lady check the note and ask me to go and change the note due to lack of change money with them, it was around 8PM i got angry and reply to lady bit angrily, i went to Doctor with reports of my baby and ask me to admit my baby for treatment, again i went to admission counters and ask I want to admit my baby then they reply all rooms were full and no way to admit my baby... I think they had enough vacant rooms but front staff doing what they want.... the Hospital management should take care of this and their front staff must supervise..

    එපා එපා එපා. කොහෙත්ම යන්න නම් එපා. එපාම කරපු තැනක්.... 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Please NEVER EVER go to this place. NEVER MEANS NEVER. This is worst private hospital that I went in my life. Atmosphere... 🤦 Ohh. Currently government hospitals also so soo cleaner than this. Lets not talk about washrooms to co op hospital. 😏 Treating to a channeling patients are pathetic. Patient needs to prepare the chair for their own. So bad at talking to patients. Also there is a channelling room right next to the X-Ray room. How responsible they are? Govt hospitals far better than this. I cannot give minus ratings for this. Thats why I gave 1 star.

    Specialised Dental Clinic – Co-operative Hospital is very bad service and (Dr) B. Ganananda Nanayakkara is not responsible person, He did surgery of my wisdom tooth and now i am suffering loan term nerve damage. still not fix the problem even after two months. Don't go there and never direct your friends.

    Receptionists in the new building, they don't know how to treat their customers. Specifically they need a proper training on customer relations. Their behaviour on customer service is nil. Nurse Avanthi who is working on room 12 also don't know how to talk with customers. She also need a training on how to talk with patients. Her behaviour is so cheap. Overall hospital service is not good. Can't satisfy with their service. Thank you

    Very bad experience. I went to the outpatient department for treatment as the pain increased due to an injury to my leg. The doctor had checked my leg and ask me to get a x-ray of the wound area. After checking the x-ray, doctor told me that a bone has been fractured and it will take at least 6 weeks to get cure. Also he prescribed some medicines for the wound healing (no name and no stamp on the medical chit). After resting a week at home, I decided to show the leg to a orthopaedic specialist in Asiri Hospital. The doctor checked the x-ray and said there is no problem in the x-ray and asked me to walk a bit. I was afraid but tried, fortunately there was no bone fracture in my leg and I couldn't walk only because of the wound. I wanted to share this experience as this will happen to another one on tomorrow and it may be a major issue because of this kind of careless doctors. Now been 2 weeks and my wound is almost cured and no bone fractures. If I believed that doctor, I would have to bed rest for 6 weeks for nothing.

    Worst hospital ever. Booked an appointment for Child Specialist so called Prof. Sujeewa Amarasena he was to arrive at 7.30pm after waiting for hours also he didn’t show up. We had to wait with a infant even after asking from the counter their reply was doctor will be late. Such an irresponsible doctor have studied a lot to be professor but common sense is null. If he can’t show up he should inform early. Irresponsible doctor never consult him.

    Be careful with the bills the receptionists give you. It should be printed on the official coop paper not on another sheet of paper even if it contains stamps! I came 2 times and at first time was cheated as I didn’t ask the price in advance and payed when the procedure was done. Next time I asked the prices in advance to have awareness if I have enough money and the price came double less. Attaching 2 bills to help you to negotiate if you think you are cheated.

    This morning we went to the cooperative hospital. (28.01.2024) Its parking is only for doctors. Although they have lot of space there customers have another small place on the other side of the road. It is in a very dangerous place. Parking near the generator is said to be dangerous. Knowing this right there, why are they putting people in trouble? Isn't it a life risk? Customer should be No.1. Is it fair to allocate an inch of space for them in such a dangerous place? We pay money and buy medicine from these. Not only that, the people in the counter where blood checkups are doing do not recognize men and women. Even from men they are asking are you Mr. or Mrs. Isn't it silly to ask? They even need to practice asking questions. The service and facilities are unsatistactory 😑👎

    Disappointed service ever. I wanted to admit to hospital as I needed full body checkup be done. I inquired from reception and i was directed to OPD doctor and was waiting for an hour. Even the doctor doesn't have an idea on the procedures and was informed that they don't have vacant room. Really disappointed..!

    We had to admit my wife to this hospital and apparently we took their VIP room, the place was dusty and not well looked after. My self, son and my wife slept overnight and the next day my son had gotten a virus infection. He was treated for more than 5 days, and the doctor could not find what kind of a virus it was. My guess it was the room we stayed in the hospital and the reason it hasn’t been cleaned properly. Overall very bad experience, please think twice before admitting your loved ones here. Only positive is the nurse ladies and their service.

    This place doesnt even deserve one star. Hardly any parking space. Always waiting time many hours (for our case, 5+ hours already). Numbers are not even being called in order. No patient number displays outside doctors' rooms. Social distancing not enforced. This place is like a COVID cave. Please do yourselves a favour and make an appointment somewhere else. I personally would drive to colombo and see a doctor in nawaloka hospital 10 times than seeing a doctor once in this place!

    This place doesn't even take zero responsibility when someone reserve a doctor. I made a reservation for Dr.Athula Dissanayaka and I got information he will be there at 7pm and number was 23 and who ever took the reservation told me to come around 8.30pm but we reached at 8.15pm.And they said doctor left. What kind of service and what kind of doctor what kind of hospital is this?????????????? We are really disappointed. And never suggest to anyone to go this place...............Please AVOID THIS PLACE .... THEY DONT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILTY ......................And even no one to pick up the phone as well...............This is the reason our country always going backward ...............................I don't even suggest to use this place.

    Excellent,,for illness also they have excellent medical attribute which make it drag to a live more condition to make update with surrounding live wonderfully more with wondering,,, too,,,, much pleasant and bill is so reasonable as for five days ordering food it was list with twenty thousand odd which I paid when mother got I'll,,and the food was every night spring hoppers,,,so cool,,and this cellulite is still updating with injection maronom for mamontos,, this hospital was under construction in around 2003,,,

    i was biten by 2 dogs 12 days bevore i went to the emergency at night,in middle may 2015. it was really unbeleavable , how friendly and how professional the doctors and the stuff cared for me . first to mention is that all my personal wishes , like painkillers ,some relaxation and recreation was fullfilled so promptly and kindly, so that i really felt, after 2 hours, like in a family! second : several,like 5 different doctors were there every half an hour for asking me how i felt and how was the progress after my injections and other treatment. then they immiditely orgenized the "rabies vaccination",which saved my life and showed me 2 times the expiry date of all different medications, they were using!(INCREDIBLE good beheavour, not comparable to any country, including germany, i have travelled to) THEN ALL THE ORGANISATION WAS SO WELL PLANNED , THAT I EVEN HAD NO DELYS IN THE SUCCEDING TREATMENTS. my overall impression was then topped by the main doctor ,mw ho found some hidden inflamations, and immidiately made the small opertion so very well. the medical managing doctor , a very friendly competent man, came personally to my room , to find out if anything goes very well. even i din t tell them ,my son in law is a doctor, they behaved , like i am their king and their only patient!the opposite was true-full occupancy,very busy everybody and also some other foreigners had similar experiences , while i was there. also any commucication, with my inshurance company was absolutely perfect! thanks, also for the heartfull treatment, which took away all my mental stress i had in these days! i would rather like to stay there , then tro move back to my friendly ,well organized hotel! thanks to all stuff in the hotel!

    One of the worst experiences ever faced. Went to see a consultant there and found out extreame chaotic situation. The channelling area was full of people. No ventilation at all. They do not provide enough chairs for even pregnant ladies. Really felt bad. Nurses are also so rude. I recommend government hospitals rather than this. Btw it is sad to give 1star since this is where i was born.

    No parking whatsoever. Billing at one place, surgery at another place (you have to cross the road frequently). Poor waiting areas, no information given to patients, non ventilated cesspit this place.

    Worst customer service.When I called to channel a doctor first they answer the phone and indicated they didn't get what I said and when I was trying to explain again they cut the phone without any response.And I had to try several times to call them back because they didn't answer the phone. And the worst thing is finally they answered to the call and after I was giving all the information about who is the doctor and my name and phone number at the end of the day they had given me a wrong doctor. If I didn't get confirm for the second time I have to face a big trouble.

    This is not the best hospital in the area, but it's not the worst as well. I went to OPD and also to the laboratory. Both places were clean and the staff was friendly. The prices for testing at the lab were surprisingly lower than the other places, and they work at night too. Gave the samples at around 7pm,got the results by 9. However there are two drawbacks i noticed during my opd visits. 1. They don't care much about covid 19 precautions. No hand sanitizers were available when i visited, and nobody cared. 2. Typical southern attitude of front desk staff. The sound arrogant, but they are just trying to be helpful.

    Excellent,,, everything,,,yet the memory is dragging,,with wondering wow,,,,how kind?,and very reasonable rates effects for lifetime to update with whatever with live more condition is valued,,the hospital seated some bench chairs are some what located on the roadway sort of on doctors vehicle parking,,anyway it is not to bother as patients are not in conscious mind to get comfortable status updated other than to get the medicine proscription to receive to buy and willingly to say goodbye to illness.

    Parking areas are not enough . People park on roads. Doctors have separate parking lots. Hospital charges are relatively low compared to others in the area. Almost all the doctors can be channeling here

    The worst hospital has ever seen. My appointment number is 38 for paediatrician and the time is 2.00 pm. Three times I spoke to customer care and they confirmed to stay there about 2.00 -2.30 pm. I went 2.30 and ongoing number 19. Then I went again at 3.30 and ongoing number 25. The same Appointment time (2.00 pm) is given for more than 20 kids and mostly with two adults were there. So call management idiots wasting more than 2 hours per person and altogether 80 hours.

    Bad experience about GALLE CO-OPERATIVE HOSPITAL😥😥😥 Today (2024.03.05) my daughter came to GALLE CO-OPERATIVE HOSPITAL and made an appointment with a pediatrician. App No:40 Time: 18:00 6 We have the experience that doctors do not come to the channeling center at the same time as told, so we came to the hospital around 7. So before coming, I made about 15 calls, none of which was answered. I came and first asked the cashier if something happened to your general line, but he did not answer the call. The lady who was there said no, she would answer it, so I took a call from there to show her, I can't be ashamed, she answered it. I wanted to do something to hide my shame before paying, so I asked the doctor's name and asked if she could tell me the number she was going to. The lady told me to go and see the doctor's room number. Because my daughter is ill and I want to see a doctor, I paid there and came to the doctor's room that the lady told me. Ah.. I couldn't tell you before, even when the doctor came, there is no massage from this hospital. Now it is 9.20 pm. Still number 37. I put a request in the complaints & suggestions box asking the hospital management to be more careful about the service they provide because I want to get the most out of the money I pay for staying here. I thought of publishing this because I don't want anyone else to be embarrassed here, and because I want to do something to make my country a country where I want to live forever. Otherwise, not out of anger..
