Perfect place to sleep within biking πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ distance to Ottawa downtown and walking distance to museums. Staff were amazing and breakfast included with a personal touch. Honestly a good option if you don’t want to pay $250+ and parking for a capital that has everything within walking distance. Highly recommended and you will be supporting a business in Quebec that has everything you need!

Third visit...excellent hotel! Service as before amazing. Our two night stay in spa room was perfect. Desk clerks always engaged in conversations. The morning breakfast was enough to get you on your way. Hot and cold food, bagels, ceral, etc. Area is kept clean as are the rooms and all public areas. Will be back...πŸ‘πŸ˜€

I've stayed here 3 times for work and every experience has been pleasant. Staff are friendly and the hotel is clean. This place is no frills and does not have a lot of extra amenities (like a fitness center, pool, etc.) But it has all you need for a quiet and nice stay. The breakfast is included and a good value.

Great and affordable place to stay - the free breakfast had eggs and sausages, lots of bread, coffee, juice, and some fruit. The room was clean and spacious, and the parking lot was close to the building. It was also nice to have a lot of different restaurants near the hotel, as well as a strip mall with a Walmart (since we forgot a bunch of things!).

Aside from the construction and the lack of food options nearby, the hotel itself is amazing. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. There's complimentary full breakfast includrd in the rate.

Very much accessible and close to Ottawa downtown. The cleanliness, service wise and the rate wise it is the cheapest in vicinity yet upto the mark. Highly recommended.

It was my first time here I was with my family and the rooms smelled of cigarettes. Even the pillows smelled of cigarettes. Nice room pretty fine and decent, breakfast is nice, though really hate the smell of the cigarettes!

The whole ambiance, staff, and rooms are great for the price. Not a fan of the location, however it was convenient for where we needed to go.

Great place to stay, close to everything. Only problem is there doesn't seem to have enough parking which is often an issue.

Could not check in problem with website booking and terrible view of a parking lot. Family emergency came up didn't stay there. Busy with students filling all the rooms! Nothing left for paying travelers! ☹️

The hotel was fantastic. The room had basically everything you need. Staff were amazing. There was construction going on behind the building, thankfully the noise wasn't disturbing. The main issue i had was finding taxi/uber. I was there for 2 nights. Anytime i was going out, i had to wait at least 15mins after booking a cab/uber before they arrive. I'd recommend this place to anyone but just keep the uber/taxi situation in mind.

We were here last summer, and it was perfect for our family. Free parking out front, friendly staff and a comfortable clean room. We will be back soon! Here is a photo from our window view…

The staff and service are the best part about this hotel. There's free parking, complimentary breakfast, which has delicious hot and cold items. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. This is definitely the best choice in lodgings available in the region.

My husband and I went to Ottawa to see the tulip festival over the Victoria Day long weekend. Our stay at Auberge de la Gare was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. We found the host Ms Amily Hu and her staff very helpful and friendly. The room where we stayed was spacious and clean and we could see Parliament Hill from the window. Breakfast was super good with hot and cold items. We had a nice stay and greatly appreciate the hospitality we received - Dora Chan

Where to begin.... The gentleman at the reception did not know how to perform is tasks efficiently. Took 45 minutes just to complete a transaction on debit. The room itself is average at best. Pillows were very mushy and the new hotel management seem more interested in micromanaging everything rather than offer a comfortable stay. Shower head sprayed everywhere except where intended. Bathtub was so slippery. They clearly removed the anti slip mats and were too cheap to replace them. Ended up having to shower in a forward spread stance just to keeping myself from slipping. Cable tv was so basic in choices that CPAC was the most interesting channel to watch. Was flat out accused of stealing a WASHCLOTH... Yes! A washcloth. Of course, this wasn't the case, but apparently, their staff is so perfect and efficient that it is impossible for them to make mistakes. Rather than argue with a rude and condescending young lady at the counter, i told her to charge me the 5.75$ for this mysterious missing piece of toiletterie. Clearly, the hotel needs the funds more than me! I stay in hotels all the time and if visiting Gatineau, i strongly urge you to avoid this establishment of rude and incompetent staff and look at these alternatives: - Hotel V (excellent service, absolutely adorable staff) - Manoir du casino (very comfortable Mezzanine options) - Adam (since the remodelling, they have been doing a great job shedding their old reputation and are definitly way above "Auberge de la Gare" Bottom line is.... if you enjoy rude staff, minimalist comforts and are only there to sleep, this one may be ok... but bring your own pillows, theirs are so mushy and you only have two per room. Best to bring your own toiletterie and make sure not to touch anything of theirs or you will be accused of stealing even if you obviously did not.

Very reasonable price and well maintained and clean. Staff's are very friendly and speak both languages. Only down side is their breakfast. Need improvement. One piece of burned sausage and fry egg. Some breads too.
