This is a comfortable and affordable place to stay in. Visited Ottawa but got here a good option. It is close to Parliament Hill (6.7km). The room and washroom were clean. It has a mini fridge, air conditioning and a safe box.

Didn't sleep here but the man at the front was fantastic! Really nice guy. And helped me find my way home. Appreciate the good service and the level of care that the employee showed me.

Good thing it doesn't smell and is close to downtown and major stores. This place is very, very tiny. It needs a lot of love. Has a lot of dust. Furniture damaged and outdated. If you have an extra few $$, choose something else. Damaged chairs, holes in blankets, etc. I understand that I can ask to replace chairs, blankets, etc, but it need better quality control and a lot of love and updates.

This was an overnight stop and having read other reviews. I knew it would be clean and smart and great value. The rooms are small, but that's fine for an overnight stop. The furniture was really good quality and smart. Fresh , new linen and towels. I did miss having a kettle in my room, but I guess space is an issue. There is a fridge and a safe. We sat outside on the smart chairs in the evening enjoying the last of the sun. My only complaint (I did read this in reviews) was a about tea and coffee. I think they should offer some milk(for us tea drinkers) and cream for the coffee. Coffee creamer is bit of a sad alternative. However there is a store across the road with milk and cream if you need it. This was a very clean room and I was I was impressed by their choice of soaps.

A big hotel messed up my reservation. So I found this little motel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was small but it served its purpose well. The room was so clean and the matress was in a bag....I looked for bed bugs as I always do in any hotel, found zero. Location was on a main strip in Gatineau and had many options to pick up a quick bite. Close to downtown and shopping. The staff was really nice. When I checked out I seen the room cleaners using good cleaning supplies and completely changing the bedding. It's not the Chateau Laurier, but for the price and last second check in....it was a decent place. I don't leave reviews normally but felt this motel was great for a quick overnight stay.

Clean place overall with friendly staff. It's close to everything you might want whether grocery store, convenient store, shopping centre, fast-food, restaurants, etc. The price is cheaper compare to all the motels in the area. Would recommend this place.

An absolute charm in the center of Gatineau. The rooms were exceptionally clean, tidy and well equipped. We really enjoyed the friendly, outgoing nature of the reception staff. Also had some interesting conversations with the staff. The motel's location is also very ideal.

I don't recomend staying here, it's pretty bad especially for those prices. The maids were nice tho.

Customer service was excellent, and very friendly. Great price for the quality of the room. Bonus: Motel will take a cash deposit if you do not have a credit card. I lost mine during this trip and was happy to find accommodations.

Conveniently located to Ottawa. Clerk Justin was extremely helpful in straightening out a problem we had with Orbitz (our fault). Room was small and spartan but adequate and quiet.

I have had some negative experiences with motels previously and was nervous about going to another one. Let me tell you, though, that Motel Ritz far exceeded my expectations. First, I met the owner, Tony. This man CARES about his motel, cleanliness, customer service, and health. I was so impressed and it really touched my heart how important it is to him that guests have a good experience. Second, the room was VERY clean. The mattresses have bedbug covers to keep them safe (just in case). I checked all the linens, mattress, towels, floors, furniture… all impeccably clean. Their housekeeper was very respectful of our stuff when she cleaned and I think this was the quality of any expensive hotel we could have stayed at. When we return to Gatineau, we will absolutely stay at Motel Ritz, again!

Small room, but clean and nice. Good value for the money. The coffee and the tea are free but no cream and they had only black tea. I was satisfied that the motel accept pets and we could travel with our dog. It was the main reason why we stayed there and we liked it.

The rooms, and entire motel, are well past their prime, with peeling paint and stained carpets. The room had a faint odor of tobacco smoke. The cleaning staff did the best they could, but the overall quality is sub-par. Complimentary coffee is available in the office (not the rooms), but tastes awful -- go to the nearby Tim Horton's instead. The price was considerably more than what was posted in online searches of nearby motels (I was charged $131CAD, inc. tax, for a one-night stay for two people on a Sun night in Sept.). The TV only had the free Samsung TV service, not local cable service. WiFi worked OK though.

Nice clean room, and the bed is very comfortable, and complimentary coffee at the officein the morning. Close to all emenities and the price is great. If you don't need all the extras like a pool, breakfast, jacuzzi, etc, this is it. Definitely a return to on future visits.

It was surprisingly very clean and nice for the price and the only down fall I would like to bring up that it would benefit if it wasn’t so tight in space in the main room and the washroom because bigger people do need just a bit more space for their needs to be met.

The staff were friendly and polite . The reason that I am giving a 3/5 rating is because the rooms are pretty small , the sheets on the bed were too small for our bed , and the housekeeper threw out cups we brought and left the dirty sheets in our room on the floor . There a a microwave and coffee maker in the office , but no coffee machine in our room . The location is good , though . There are several restaurants within walking distance, and it is a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Ottawa .

It's very comfortable and was available on short notice. There is only a microwave in the main office, but you get a good size fridge/freezer and a surprisingly fancy shower

Let me start by saying this place was an okay place. Kinda spacious and clean. The white male working there on August 30 night was absolutely disgusting and racist. He was rude whenever we asked him to explain the process of payment because we are from Ontario and didn’t understand. He later on replied with “oh my God” in a very aggressive manner and tone. He was not receptive or welcome and he was incredibly rude. The guy that was working on September 1st morning was amazing though. Never staying here again that’s for sure!

Clean. Good smell. No broken tiles on the floor. Marble wall slabs in washroom. Upgraded modern sanitation. Nice mattresses, and clean sheets.

Super cute renovated room. Mini fridge, safe and AC. The bedding looks all new, 4! Pillows unlike most hotels that only give 2. Beautiful antique looking furniture. Brand new to the area so no comments on what's around. We did drive up the street for dinner but didn't walk anywhere. Will stay here again!

Felt pressured the second we walked into the office to write a good review based off an upgrade we didn't request (or end up receiving it as our initial request was for a room with a bathtub) When we settled into our (very quaint) room we started to notice WHY we had been pressured to say nice things. Holes in blankets, all the furniture and fixtures were damaged, baseboards were dirty and you could smell burning hair when the heat kicked on. No kettle or microwave but decent sized fridge. No fan in the bathroom so when you take a shower the whole room and bathroom fill with steam and heat. We had to open the door to let the steam out so the room wouldn't fill with moisture. We had a family emergency and needed to check out a day early, but because we booked online he refused to refund the extra night, even though we paid at the property. There was a large gap in the bottom of the door where the protective tread had been tore off, and we had to block the gap with a towel to shield some of the traffic noise. It is conveniently located, and the manager was kind, just a bit pushy, and the rooms definitely need more love and attention. It does conveniently have a smoking area directly outside of each room which is nice.Overall, an ok place for a one night stay if you aren't expecting anything.
