Ordered butter chicken and lamb coconut for take away.. it was very delicious and as per the spicy level requested . Along with the redolent food, we had some soft and toothsome garlic naan and cheese naan. the food was in good quantity as well as the quality expectations . will love to try some other currys as well. Thanks for the good food.

Visited this small restaurant over the week end. I'm a vegan, but my partner isn't. We both enjoyed our meals. I must say that this is the one of the best in Melbourne. Great fresh food. Good collection of vegan items in their menu. Love their customer service. Worth for money. Definitely going back. Highly recommended. (specially for Vegans)

I love Indian food - I’ve tried lots of Indian restaurants in the northern suburbs. I also like supporting local businesses. So I was looking forward to trying Mehek. The photos showed a creamy butter chicken and a creamy rogan josh. When I received our meal - it was a watery butter chicken and a watery rogan josh. It was so watery, there was no flavour. Maharaja in Preston is the benchmark for Indian food. They are consistent - the curries are creamy and full of flavour. They are also about the same price. And they are always busy with customers! So I was so disappointed when I paid the same amount for such low quality food. This review is not to turn customers away, but I hope the owners see this, make some changes, so more customers can visit. Please don’t compromise on quality. This place has promise - it’s a nice and cosy, but the food needs improvement. I’ll come back in a few months time to see if anything has changed, and I’ll update my review

We were very disappointed with our meal as well as the service from Mehak. Ordered for a 6.20pm delivery which was then changed to 6.40pm after ordering and was delivered some time after 7pm. The onion bhaji's were cold. One of the curry's was swimming in water (see photo), the other two curry's did not taste nice and were thrown away. The naan bread was rock solid and the rice was soggy. We called up the restaurant to provide them an opportunity to rectify this matter and they said they would send a text message with an offer of compensation. We received no text message so we complained to Menulog who we booked the meal through and they said the restaurant wanted to offer us $20 off a further meal with them. We explained we would never eat there again and wanted a full refund which Menulog then provided.

I generally do not like leaving negative reviews however given the price I paid for the food I feel it is prudent to do so. There were 6 small pieces of chicken in the butter chicken and 6 cubes of lamb in the korma, both of these curries were close to $20 each, I think that there should be more meat in these meals, either that or they should be cheaper. In total, I paid $80 for 3 curries, 2 steamed rice and 3 garlic naan. I will happily pay money for food that gives value for that money but unfortunately this was not the case.

A fragrant delight! Simple but filling mains, generously served. The Kashmiri Naan beautifully cooked. Will be returning with friends to share this remarkable little eatery. (BYO, with no corkage)

We regularly dine at Mehek and have never been disappointed. Last night there were some Sri Lanka curries on the specials board. I decided to try the Mango curry. It was delicious and I would certainly order again. Hubby had his usual Garlic Chili Chicken which was just as good as always

It's never hard to find vegetarian options at Indian restaurants, but because so many dishes have dairy in them - finding VEGAN isn't so easy. Except here! We are SO HAPPY to see they had a FULL VEGAN MENU. Granted, you have to ask for it but once we had it, we didn't feel like we were ordering off some one-page reduction of the menu, it was a couple of pages and felt like we were ordering off a proper full menu! We started off with their Samosas - they were tasty (and *not* oily as some can be at other places) and perfectly complemented with their tangy tamarind chutney! Because we're not used to having so many VEGAN options to choose from, we decided to try a heap of curries and just take home the left-overs. So we tried their Potato & Spinach, Mixed Vegetables, Potato & Pea curries, as well as the recommended "so new it's not on the menu" dish which was recommended by the chef -- a spicy Jackfruit & Curry Leaves 'dry' style curry -- and all of them were really tasty! The faves were the mixed vegetable and potato & spinach, but we enjoyed the intense curry-leaves and spiciness of the Jackfruit! Everything went down well with our plain rice and wholemeal paratha! Interior was clean, pretty standard for the local suburban Indian restaurant - you can see little touches of effort and care in the decor - which was nice. If you're plant-based or just want a meatless dinner one night, go check Mehek out and support their new VEGAN MENU so they keep expanding on it! (HINT HINT TO THE RESTAURANT: Would love to see a DAHL or TOFU MAKHANI using cashew or coconut cream!)

The garlic naan actually had garlic flavour. Loved the background music 👍 The beef vindaloo was "mild" at best after the waitress said it was very hot and spicy. It was also low on the flavour side. The fish Madras was also low on the flavour side. For an Indian restaurant, this place lacked the expected complexity of flavour. Please put the spices and flavour back into your dishes!

Some of the best curry in the north. Delicious spice balance and very tender meat with generous meat portion. Reasonably fast, and well priced. Highly recommended

No flavour! My partner and I were in awe after eating the food this restaurant prepared, how can Indian food that use so many spices have little to no flavour. Food was ‘stale’, and had no kick of spice, or taste. But the customer service was excellent and the food was prepared on time.

I recently went to this restaurant with my sister we are both extremely disappointed with the food. We ordered the dalMakhani and eggplant curry. Both dishes were absolutely tasteless. The garlic Nan was hard and dry. Once we had ordered we seen how dirty the air-conditioner was, and the state of the doors the shop needs a really big clean. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I’ve had a lot of Indian dishes at other restaurants, and this was the biggest disappointment of all times The shop really needs a good clean I noticed the state of the kitchen floor as I was paying. It was filthy The service the gentleman was very polite, but that doesn’t justify bad outcome. I did comment to the young girl that the food was tasteless.

Such a lovely and underrated restaurant! food and service are both amazing! Always disappoints me to see it empty knowing the quality of the dishes and staff inside are incredible.

Just had my first order delivered and very disappointed with the food. Matter Paneer was bland with only 6 dry pieces of paneer, lots of peas but little to no flavour in the sauce. Rice was plain ordinary boiled basmati, no saffron and a little watery. Very disappointing and won't be ordering again

Lovely tasty meal with friendly staff and quick service. The lamb in spinach was delish. Don't let the decor deter you. Will be back!

Moved to Yallambie few days ago. Trying Indian restaurants around. This was the first try and the food was horrible. Naan and rotis were so thick and uncooked. Curry’s masala was undercooked too.never had such naan’s in Melbourne until now in past 12 years. Not for us!

Authentic and exquisite flavours, perfect balance, hands down the best Indian cuisine I’ve experienced in Melbourne for a decade every time! Lovely warm service too, loads of gluten free options. A gem indeed!

I have nothing but praise for Mehek Greensborough..I eat their food at least 3 times a week. Sometimes I call ahead and pick up the food on the way home, sometimes I order thru uberEats.. either way the service is always fast, friendly and on time. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Hello all.
