Great customer service from ur staff namely, Aliaa. Professional, thinking out of the box and went the extra mile to assist us step by step to rectify our membership/point issues. She should be the role model for all staff. Please give her a pay raise cause she deserve it.

I love coffee but I am more like someone who just drinks coffee as long as it is any coffee. So I still can't really differentiate if it is earthy or nutty but I can taste if it is more sour or not. LoL. Anyway, visited Starbucks Reserve today and the place is definitely different and feel and looks much better than regular Starbucks. Ordered cold brew and capucino and both are Reserve version (which I was told is from better coffee beans). Totally enjoyed my coffee. Only reason minus one star is the special area for Reserve coffee seems empty. We saw drip coffee utensils etc but the staff told us unfortunately there is only one type of bean available now. Oh well, I will try more next time then.

Lousy packing... Order nitro cold brew, staff pack the coffee so pack until spill around my body and car when i try to drink... Very unprofessional service. The cold brew also not as good as Coffee Bean. Bad experience........ 😖😖😖

Love the ambience and the demeanour of the staffs. Enjoy the day with a sip of Latte and a piece of cake. A moment in Reserve remove my lethargy. Love it and thumbs for it.

Place is pack as expected. Staff is friendly enough. Cleaning off tables need to be quicker else customer need to clear your own tables. Malaysian need to learn to clear your own tables. Need to be careful of thieves as they are preying for unattended items on tables. I guest they come in groups but act alone as can see "him" walking in and out surveying multiple times within short period of time.

Amazing experience. Coffee was excellent, customer service was top-tier. Barista Alya explained everything well. She has good skills and knowledge of coffee from geography, notes, brewing, seasonal selections, etc. Really recommend the Reserve bar over normal Starbucks for coffee enthusiasts.

Indoor is spacious and outdoor is nice too. For indoor there are usual coffe tables and chairs or sofas. There's one section for bar seating as well. Good to spend an afternoon here for a reading or doing work on a laptop. Indoor is crowded sometimes.

Love their reserve menu. Tried their reserve mocha. They serve in very nice platter with a card shows the detail of your coffee. Will definitely back for other choices in reserve menu. The staff in the shop is very friendly and helpful as well. Like their great service. The shop interior is great too. Very suitable for chit chat with friends.

When you walked into the store, you will immediately recognize Starbucks iconic architecture and interior design. You will see 2 set or bars/counters. One right Infront of the main doors and the other one on the left. To order, you will need to go to the counter on the left which is the main counter. Here, you are to order your drinks. The menu comprises of the normal menu and also the Reserve's menu. For the Reserve, you can pick from a variety of beans and brewing method. Once you made your payment, you will be redirected to the Reserve counter (if you ordered from the Reserve menu). There, a friendly Barista will greet you and show you a round. I am lucky to meet the Barista named Chad. He teaches about the history of the beans, the brewing method itself and everything about coffee. So you receiving a free coffee class while waiting for your coffee. The drink is very nice. Suitable for those looking for specialty coffees. The environment is cozy and comfortable to enjoy your coffee and get some things done. All and all, this is probably the best place for you to find a cup a coffee with a side of coffee brewing class in a cozy environment. The staffs are well trained, polite and friendly.

This review is aimed at people visiting Penang. Please be careful when you order a coffee at the Starbucks Gurney Plaza. I always order an Americano black Grande and the staff know il not local so they usually will ask if I prefer to have it a particular mug and they also will use another term if I prefer to have my coffee a certain way! I use to think it was their way of serving customers here in Penang but I noticed it’s only at this outlet because it’s Reserve edition! Anyway if you agree to their offer you end up having to pay double over a regular Americano. Regular Grande Americano costs Rm$9+ but the staff mark it up to RM$19++. Last time I ordered a black Americano and a cheesecake bill came to RM$40. I get feeling the staff get a comm for every up grade coffee they sell

Service crews need to be helpful and knowledgeable. Or perhaps lack of crews, they look so exhausted and unwilling to help. 3 drinks could cost me rm6x including tax. But I get the lousy service and the taste of the drinks are not right. Environment is good, comfy and spacious. Just the service crews and quality of the drinks really way to improve.

Outside is not a smoking area . But I can see people smoke outside Starbucks and no one care also. It’s a nice environment to sit in but the smokers spoil it all. Pls take note can ? Is really annoying those smokers smoke at none smoking area. Really annoying.!!

The cashier/waitress should be more attentive and mindful of what the customer has ordered (instead of chit chatting among themselves). This is not the first time they forgot about the cake/pastries I ordered when they serve my coffee.

hello good day, i myself,working in FNB also. Today MERDEKA, after a busy day, when im otw home, i decided to enjoy your MERDEKA promo buy one free one. customer infront me 2 malay girl was pleasently treated but when come to my turn your staff Hakim decided to throw the 4 tier cup holder towards me when i requested for it since i bought 2 drinks. first he dint even bothered to give me the 2 tier cup holder, secondly the nerve he had thrown that things towards me. i understand its a busy day. everybody is tired. if he did the same thing to the malay girl infront thn i get it he is tired or frust. but this partiality, is it because im a man, this 2 were girls.

Had a quick coffee break here, the reserve Cappucino was wonderful and the staffs are superrr welcoming and warm, especially a friendly staff named Alin! Made my day after stopping by here.

Usual hang out place for a coffee. I dont fancy the food, just the Americano black, which keeps me going for the day. Important is that the coffee has to be hot.

Order Chocolate cream chip frappuccino yesterday in the store the staff was very kind,the order was made quickly without any mistake and the drink come in true size

The reason why I rate it 3: 1: The barista didn't offer any brew technique to us so we can't fully feel the "Reserve" 2: I order caramel machiato and as someone who drink Starbuck regularly, I can't tell any differences from the normal Starbucks. 3: Since I can't fully satisfy with point no 1 and 2, I find it irrelevant to be expensive than regular Starbuck

Today I came in after my shopping day and wanted to get refreshness and relax but end up fell very very upsad as now are close. Even your operation are writen till 12am on Saturday but close on 10pm. Should your reserve outlet operation so bad then should change to the original outlet. Even small outlet will open towards 12am on Saturday. Very bad experience I have ever which I visit so many of the STARBUCKS OUTLET.......

Terrible service and really bad attitude from the workers same as I experienced as the comments below(especially the malay male worker at the picture). Upset at this because I spent money even on service charge, and I wait for 40mins for a cake and a beverage because of their dragging service attitude in order. Even I wanted to enquire about the Starbucks app for the card, they also ignored. Told them I don’t want cream and they still add cream for me. This outlet is really terrible, the workers not providing a straw for your drink and when you request, they additionally charge RM0.20 for a straw. What a nonsense with this outlet. As you can see the expression of the customers in the photo that I provided. Will not coming this outlet anymore.
