Hawker style 'kopitiam' style set up serving various kind of local food under one roof. A good hangout place for tourists, friends and families to have meals and admiring the view. ⭐⭐⭐3/5 for food taste. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐5/5 for view. Beer available. Parkings can be a headache, otherwise fair. Well lit with clean toilets.

Decent food. The grilled stingray from Henry's Grill was food. RM 40 for a two person portion. Pizza was a bit subpar. Drinks were okay. View was nice but they don't regulate outdoor smoking which bums down the experience. There should be rules against smoking whether indoors or outdoors at any eateries. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare. Narrow roads and no traffic controls. I came early around 6 and found parking easily. But... Coming out around 7+ became a puzzle/maze nightmare. Was stuck at the parking lot for about 15 mins.

Food was not bad with a few authentic and flavourful Penang food. Worth a try for their oyster egg (we took the vegetarian one).

Pretty decent food court. Come for the views. Seaside dining. Sadly many stalls are gone. We tried a handful & the best were the oyster egg & ikan bakar stall. Fresh seafood, made to order & packed with flavor. Not to mention friendly owners. Skip the popiah, prawn mee & char kway teow. Really bad. Some are reasonably priced while others take you for a ride. There are loads of free parking. A must visit when in Penang at least for the vibes.

Fried hor fun and fried yee mee were delicious. Full of wok hei and nicely done. 3 stars Japanese charcoal grilled saba fish was delicious and well done. Rice was well cooked and compliment soup was OK. RM14.50 was value for money. 3 stars Fried oyster was below average. Too much flour and very less oyster. RM15 was too pricey. 2 stars Fresh oyster at RM7 per pcs was value for money. But, of course at this price, lack of taste of ocean. Worth trying. 3 stars Western food grilled fish and lamb was slight above average. 3 stars German pork sausage was good as well. What we can expect from RM13 per set. 3 stars Thai food just so so. Pineapple was below par 2*, green curry not really taste authentic 2*, fried egg and Salted fish kailan also not to my liking. 2 *

Laksa and prawn noodle taste good, oyster egg too much flour but the oysters are fresh. So so only. The juice nice service fast. Grill fish and stir fry clam is good but the curry powder is too spicy for me and it’s less flavouring, but seafood are fresh.

Good cafe with a beach facing view, have to come early to get the sea viewing seats, maybe come at 6, before 7 if you wanna have dinner and enjoy the sunset view. Food is good, price on the higher side.

Touristy place. The food is pricey & not delicious. Only plus point is the view. To eat like this for a family of 6-7, do expect to pay about RM400-500, every RM50 you pull out is easily gone. Learn to ask if you can take over the diner’s table once they finished eating, else will take you forever to get a table. Roast duck is good only.

Plenty of car parking. If you get a nice table, you can enjoy the seaview.. tables are spaced nicely. The food was typical food court taste. The duck was very good and very tasty. The satay sauce was not peanut based..

#TipsForTrips: this popular open air hawker center by the sea comes alive in evening. Live singing and slow dance for free. Relaxing, casual atmosphere with a few worthy stalls, amid local and international foods. A good place to wind down with friends at this breezy family-friendly place. Medium priced food.

Hokkien Char - below average. Fried chicken and Tofu - just nice. Loh Bak - Ok to accept. Fried Osyter - Normal. Ampula Juice Drink - Most terrible, it branded as their most famous drinks, but overprice (RM8) with small glass and taste bad, not juicy enough! It was so disppointed and its feel just a trap for tourist to order. Better to avoid this drink. Anyway, the environment is nice during sunset period.

This is the Best Food Stall in Penang Island. The environment is nice beside beautiful beach 🏖️. Food and Drinks is great and affordable. Recommended Fried Chicken, Grill Fish and Singapore Noodles. Each coming to Penang will drop by for dinner.

I went here in early morning around 8am. There's one restaurant open in that time. You can get Dimsum only. I love viewing sunrise in here. It's so cool. I took some photos and videos. The scenes in here amazing. ♥️

The wantan hor was surprising good & cheap. The fried oyster & kam heong lala was ok. Saw alot ppl ordered the bak kut teh, so decided to try It turn out to be a disappointment~ the soup tasted like black bean soup with slight herbs, the meat was few & most of the pork belly given was fats (as per picture) and it cost rm14.

Fried fish/ pork noodle dishes from China Food dry and for Rm14 each very bland. Omelette small and Rm10. Worst dish even after returning was the fried dumplings. Parking Rm2. And the music is terrible! Just taken away another *. Terrible.

Northamton road, Penang, Malaysia. The first impression when we walked in to use their toilet is super x10 smelly that turn our stomach upside down and lost our appetite for the food. The second impression is that the parking have to pay for RM2 per entry. The third impression is the food is super lousy. The fourth impression is the drink is so expensive that even in Klang valley is cheaper. Having say that, the view is nice facing the sea.

The view is good. Recommended by my homestay owner. I ordered ikan bakar, squid bakar, steam clams and fried oyster. The first stall near the main door - the food are disappointing. The clams are not steamed properly (hard to open and dirty inside). Brought the clams back to the stall and asked the boss to steam more. He said it's normal. Spend a bit of time to "persuade" him to steam more. Finally, the clams are resteam and they finally easier open and cleaner inside. Regret order other food from it. I also order fried oyster (heard it is very good) and stringray bbq (pari bakar) from the last stall nearest to the beach. Although the lady boss may look grumpy but her foods made me smiling. Too bad i can't order more food from her since i ordered majority of the food from the first stall. I attached where is the stall with the good fried oyster and pari bakar. Her sos is special.. Not sambal

Enjoyable place. Food is mid-good. Can walk on the beach, there is people singing on stage. Old folk music. Thai food was good, satay was good, char kuey teow is mid-good. Overall great place to go!

  • 5/5 eliz g. 3 years ago on Google
Must try the dry hor fun which is at the fried noodles stall (not the char kuay teow stall), pork satay, or chien, Eliz's clam chowder, lasagna, and the seafood at main entrance (salted egg crabs, salted egg chicken)and must buy the kacang tumbuk and sesame biscuits!

Food quality used to be better 2 years ago, price seemed to have increased and food quality is lower now. It is still a nice open air food court overseeing the sea from Gurney drive.

5 star for a coffee shop or food court outlet. Food sold here are a little pricey but car park is plentiful and free. Besides it has a great ambience by the sea. Wonderful for a breezy night. Food sold is typical food court type. Nice place.

Having meals with seaside view 😍 foods taste so so. Just enjoy the view and sunset :) many chairs are available, although in the meal time. When I'm there, it's raining, so no pretty sunset, but lucky to see rainbow 🌈

A hawker stall with a beach view. I find the food is reasonable but the fact that there are a lot of flies annoy me. I went during the evening and the tide was low, so the view wasn't great either. Food that I tried was - Fried Oyster - 4 star - Friend Mee Jawa - 4 star - Nutmeg Jumbo - 2 star

Food court located along the beach stretch of Northam Road (hence the name), this place has a nice and cozy ambience, facing the beach front looking across mainland Penang. There are quite a number of stalls here selling a variety of food. Pricing a little more on the expensive side though, probably catering more for tourist rather than locals. Parking is convenient and easily accessible too.

  • 4/5 Bikrom B. 11 months ago on Google
There are so many varieties of food, but also at the same time not really. Many different varieties of Malaysian or Chinese food, but not international. The food is good and not that spicy, can always ask to make it spicy. Price is very good as well. Anyway, the place is huge and some nights they have live performances. Right by the beach.

Touristy places but atmosphere is great with sea breeze on a cool night. Lots of choices of food for the pick. We meet up friends for drinks and tried one of the seashell food. Some food is better than others. Orange juice is good.

I come here to to wash away my sins. I come here to remind myself of the Penang i once knew. To wave at the fisherman who were here before the bridges. Its almost magical.

A good place to hang out and chill after hours. I recommend the satay on the far end of the cafe. A tad bit pricey but the taste was sublime. Only csuse for concern is that being near the sea, mosquitoes and bugs do come aplenty.

this is the nearest Chinese restaurant to Mansion One Suites. we went there around 6.30, the car park almost full when we left about 7.30. there are quite many choices an variety of foods here, just the matter of the taste. we ordered pineapple juice double @11.00 - so so , should order carrots juice or others. tomyam seafood fried rice @9.00, just spicy and taste not so good. pork [email protected]/pc expensive and not up to my standard. I ordered from stall end corner. there is another stall near the entrance, should try this and it is cheaper. lotus soup 16.00, big bowl of soup instead of ingredients.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
