Nice setting, but a bit outdated, fine for one night. Lovely host though.

What a beautiful setting. Great value for money. I love the Cinnamon cake at the tea garden. Thank you for allowing my dogs to join me in the garden.

Amazing location. Facilities are for the most part of a good quality and have wonderful potential. However, some of the utilities and equipment were not serviceable and had to be replaced. Service was mediocre. When problems were reported, it was dealt with, but with an attitude of "Why is this our problem?".

If you are looking for peace and tranquility with beautiful scenery overlooking the mountains, this place is perfect. Perfect distance from George to visit all the surrounding places and beaches.

There is nothing wrong with the rooms. However, the website states that you have access to a communal kitchen and braai area. When requesting a 2nd wine glass, as there was only 1 available, we were told in no uncertain terms that the communal kitchen was only there as a favor and that we were not entitled to ask for anything additional to what there was made available. If you advertise a communal kitchen, you should have enough of everything so that all guests can use what there is, or rather tell guests to bring their own crockery, cutlery and glassware. Guest relations are always the 1st priority in any establishment. This establishment certainly fell short where this was concerned, as the owner was definitely not very friendly or accommodating. The owners cat also kept coming into our room, so we could never keep the door open, as my husband and kids are highly allergic to cats.

Had a lovely stay at Over The Mountain Guest Farm. The rooms are lovely, well equipped, clean and spacious. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this as the perfect accommodation, conveniently situated between Oudtshoorn and George.

We stopped for tea during our travels, very limited menu which has not changed in the last 10 years.(we stop here often in our travels and only return because due to the nostalgia) staff don't communicate. They whisper. Very disappointed

A refreshing rustic haven of tranquillity and peace. Beautiful views of the mountain terrain. A friendly & inviting welcome from the lovely host Estel. Sitting in the picturesque tea garden with a landscape of a pretty garden, the chirps & songs from the abundance of beautiful bird life & the stillness give you an inner feeling of relaxation. The freshly baked scones were absolutely delicious, and the homemade condiments were so yummy. A worthy afternoon drive out into the country. A real hidden gem between the Outenique Valley.

There is something uniquely beautiful about this place. Tucked away in the Outeniqua Mountain its a great little adventure to go for scones and tea. Just wish they'd have a bit more of a food menu

If you want a stunning vista in which to enjoy tea and scones or a milkshake and 'roosterkoek' you couldn't do much better than here. Very quiet and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at over the mountain. The quite and beautiful scenery allow you to quickly gear down and relax as you look out across the valley. We found the rooms well appointed and everything clean. It is not often you find somewhere to stay that you can feel part of the goings on. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We shared a meal with them and enjoyed their company.

Nikki is so friendly! Food was good too! The cat absolutely made our tea garden visit! Came to greet us & suddenly loved my dad! Sat on his lap until the food came. Absolutely adorable

Had a wonderful time hosting a session for a writer's retreat at Over the Mountain. The location was scenic and peaceful, with isolated offices where aspiring writers could tend to their craft. After the session, we all had a stunning lunch (a to-die-for quiche), followed by a decent coffee and the best koeksisters I've ever had.

😐 Elvis Brew Co - provides a diverse range of offerings, including trendy T-shirts, drinks, biltong, and various gifts. However, these items come at a cost. While it's always enjoyable to step into a padstal and purchase something as a memento, this place is unnecessarily overpriced, especially when...

👍👍 Very popular breakfast spot for the locals, and it's not difficult to understand why. From the very friendly and professional waitron staff, who know the locals by name by now. To the incredible food and baked goods which are on offer. We had a few drinks, cocktails, and a mimosa, and then the main...
