GAUCHOS Steakhouse

Restaurant

👍 Highly quality, premium steak served as always. The standard of the food is second to none. There is room for improvement in terms of service, however you can tell they do care about customer experience and are definitely working on improving it. People often mention steak, restaurant, good, meat, cooked, staff, service, nice, great, people,

Delicious food and friendly service. Incredible steaks but quite pricey.

The food is excellent. I tried to convince the people to open a second restaurant in my city. Sadly they refused.

The food is outstanding. I had a fillet steak which was at least twice the size you get in England. My wife had duck and she loved it

I went with around 10 of of us after me and wife got married at the registry office around the corner. I didn’t like the taste of the steak I was given it just didn’t taste right. When I told the waiter he was really rude and made me feel really uncomfortable in front of my family. I will never be coming back to this restaurant. ⬇️ See… patronizing, of course I was at Gaucho I know the restaurant well and the picture of it is right here. Gibraltar is relatively small so everything is practically round the corner.

When I order an Angus beef rib I expected it would be grilled as in my country but alas is was stewed. This is no meat to be cooked into stew. The provoleta cheese was to die for.

Fantastic food...the 'old' chef is back and therefore the steaks are great again. Service could be better (slow and not especially cheerful staff) and it is a pricey place to go.

This place is now my favorite of many steak houses I've eaten at! I tried the medium-ripened sirloin steak, which was surprisingly tasty. Unlike steak, which is sold in slices, the restaurant seared a large sirloin until it was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, with a small amount of muscle remaining. You can double grill it yourself on a piping hot slab, but even if you don't do that, the steak is good enough. The waiting time may be a bit longer, but the abundance of gravy in the steak will prove it's worth the wait!

Was recommended Gauchos by a friend that visited a few months ago. So visited on our last night of our mini break. We were not disappointed! So much choice of cuts of meat and it was cooked perfectly. If you want to treat yourself and a loved one, this is the place to go!

This place is actually better than 5 stars, we ate her last night and I can honestly say the best steak house in UK if not Europe, the staff are excellent. A must for all meat lovers visiting Gibraltar, can’t wait to go back.

Pasts beef ragu was lovely. All dishes came nice and hot 🔥 Ribs were also amazing coming off the bone. Sides were also very decent and all at a reasonable price for a steakhouse.

Have been enjoying Gauchos for over 4 years now and each time we visit Gib we make sure we eat here. We love it that much that we held our evening wedding meal here and it was lovely. Our guests enjoyed it and the live music they have on the weekends is fantastic. Will continue to recommend ☺️

We arrived to a Luke warm welcome and were shown to a table. We ordered drinks which came quickly. We ordered a meat sharing platter to start. This was accompanied with stale bread. The meat was tasteless and dry. We both had the Gauchos burger. When they arrived they we black on both sides and so overdone that they took a lot of chewing. I gave up after a quarter, my partner had managed just over half but then gave up. The chips were nothing to write home about. So the only nice thing was some spinach and mushrooms. The waiter asked why we didn’t eat and we said how bad it was. The waiter was combative and he said this is medium and there is no juice in dry aged beef. We owned a restaurant ourselves previously so we said said this is not true it was bad cooking. My burger was refunded but they refused to refund my partners as he had eaten just over 50%. We said give us our bill and paid £54 for a terrible time. Will never be back and I advise others to avoid.

Managed to get a table without a reservation last night to 2. Service was fabulous, attentive, and friendly. The steak was delicious and cooked in an open kitchen. All sides were also very tasty. The restaurant was busy but no long wait for food. Good recommendations from our lovely waitress. Deserts were incredible. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and we got chatting to our table neighbours that were so nice. I will definitely return here. I'm fairy new to Gibralter, and it's the best meal I've had there thus far.

Unfortunately not much ambience as not many people there, but it was the beginning of the week. Great service. Fabulous steak and side dishes. Highly recommend. They have salads, pasta dishes and vegetarian options for those that don't want steak. Had the Argentine meat, cooked to perfection. Desserts were great too. Highly recomment.

Very very good steak restaurant, maybe a little pricey but the quality is top notch. Very good staff and easy to get too, i had the fillet with not one piece if fat at all, cooked perfectly. We will be going again.

Fabulous dinner out! Hands down one of the best places for a great dinner in Gibraltar. Staff are beyond lovely and my partner was blissful with his surf and turf steak. Vegetarians won’t be disappointed too as there’s many options and the butternut squash pasta was divine :)

The meat here is the heist point. I've chosen a Fillet Barbecue Rare and come perfectly! We order two sides EACH, and OMG the sides are portion able to share so was a lot of food. Then after a slow breath and drinking a bit more, the desserts were very nice. We have booked in advance, but if you are just walking by, it's a nice place to try.

This is a good restaurant located about 5 minutes walk from Main street. This eatery is focused on beef steaks and although I didn't try one I have heard they are very good. Service was a bit slow considering the restaurant was empty as they had just opened. It's possible that my service expectations don't align with this part of the world. Ceaser salad was good but it was laden with dressing. Squash main course had little squash and too much pasta. Tuna salad as a main was very tasty and well dressed. The boiled eggs were cooked perfectly. Fresh dinner buns with butter were also served. Overall a good restaurant. Washrooms were clean.

Was here for a birthday so a balloon attached to the chair on arrival was nice. The itself was very good but I still felt it wasn't amazing, when comparing it to the gaucho I visited in London. The mac and cheese was not great in my opinion. The live entertainment on the night was very good.

Everything about Gauchos is enjoyable. The stone interior is rustic, charming, and intimate. The people are authentic and friendly. The food.. the FOOD is the best I had in Gibraltar!! The complimentary olives were so amazing, but the highlights extended with each dish we ordered. I had the tuna steak, which was incredible, but I sampled the ribeye ordered by my fiance and it was insane. If I find myself there again, it's a definite stop for me!!

Went to Gauchos after reading great reviews. Checked menu outside and although a little more pricey than other restaurants was prepared to try it. When we were handed the menu the prices were £4 more each for the steak we wanted. I queried this with the waiter and he said that they had changed the prices a while ago but couldn't find people to change it. I think this is a con and a sneaky way to get more money out of people. I wonder how many people have been mislead into paying more. Needless to say we left and cancelled our pre drinks order. Will not be returning. Diners beware!

Had a great meal, great food, serving staff and wine list. Not cheap but well worth a visit. Only spoilt by a table of very loud Scots and Irish men next too us generally spoiling the atmosphere.

Just absolutely loved the Argentinian Ribeye we had a Gaucho's recently. The flavour was amazing and the side order were delicious too. One of the best steaks we've enjoyed for such a long time. Cooked to perfection and seasoned impeccably.

Not local but ate here yesterday (20th Aug) and it was such a lovely evening. Food was absolutely delicious, steak cooked to perfection, beef Ragu just the most delicious. The staff and service were brilliant. Made special by the wonderful music from Gino, lovely voice and really added to the atmosphere. Would 100% recommend.

👍👍 It's hard to find really good food in Gibraltar, but this place can be recommended. Traditional fish and chips very good, fish fresh and juicy. The coating is not hard as stone and doesn’t smell of old oil. The portion isn't cheap but it's huge so no one should go hungry. Local beer good but it's no...
