Enjoyable- lots of walking up and down hill. About 20 mins from city center up a steep hill. Not well sign posted. The pass to St Michael's Cave let's you into the tunnels and also the Moorish castle

Really long tunnel, lots to see, lots to read and learn about the history. Enjoyed the visit very much, thus would recommend for everyone. :) Tip: recommend buying the Gibraltar Nature Reserve ticket to visit many places for the same price :)

Thoroughly worthwhile experience to visit these tunnels dug into the rock in the 17th century. There are totally 34 miles of them. Take time to have a walk through history and you will be amazed.

Fascinating! Enjoyed the exhibits with informative signage along tunnel walls. Learned a lot about Gibraltar history and the tunnel construction in the 1700s. Great views from the cannon ports. Long walk inside the caves. Path was well lit. Admission is included with the Nature Preserve ticket.

Fantastic. If you are short on time, do the great siege tunnels and skip the WW2 tunnels / Moorish castle. Well maintained, informative and fascinating history - as you walk through, just remember, this was all done hand, and so very quickly!

The tunnels are super cool! My kids loved being in the tunnels and going into all the side channels. The climb down is pretty easy but it is steep coming back out.

Very interesting, informative write-ups throughout the tunnels. I think any history buff would enjoy this. Very well done displays. Generally, mannequins are some of the most realistic I have seen in a historical site.

This was a great place to visit especially when it is throwing it down with rain outside. This is quite a trek once you get inside. The tunnels are relatively flat near the entrance and then about a third of the way in, slope downwards to some degree. There is a sign warning you at this point and it is worth saying it is a significant trek back up again if you do go further on. The displays are good with relevant information. Worth a trip even though it is quite expensive for the entrance package (park plus features).

The tunnels closed early during my visit since the Gibraltar days were happening, but did get a small peak into the tunnel and surrounding areas. Not far from the entrance there is also part of the Moorish castle. Be ready that the monkeys are present at both of these location although they seemed to behave better at least with the staff working in those areas. Feeding them the fine is over 4000 pounds and you want to keep your backpack in front of you. Driving around you can see many spots on the mountain side for these tunnels. An excellent experience, worth the hike up the steep road.

A lot of tunnels, nooks and surprises! The tunnels are quite narrow and low so tall people watch out! My claustrophobic wife gave the place a miss! Lots of openings overlooking the runway and Spanish border. Bags of military history to read and absorb. Quite interesting though.

Highly recommend for history buffs 🙂. The Tunnels were very important to Gibraltar's history. There are many chambers, signs, audio stations, original cannons, and more to explore. Entry is included in the Upper Nature Reserve fee.

I had the incredible opportunity to explore the Great Siege Tunnels in Gibraltar, and it was nothing short of a mesmerizing experience. These tunnels, carved into the rock during the 18th century, are a testament to human ingenuity and determination. The historical significance of this site is awe-inspiring. Walking through the labyrinthine tunnels, I couldn't help but imagine the bravery and resourcefulness of the soldiers who built and defended them during the Great Siege of Gibraltar. The audio-guided tour provided a wealth of information, making the history come alive with vivid details. The views from the tunnels overlooking the bay are breathtaking. It's the perfect spot to capture some stunning photographs and take in the strategic importance of Gibraltar throughout history. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend visiting the Great Siege Tunnels to anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply seeking an unforgettable adventure. It's a historical gem that shouldn't be missed when in Gibraltar.

This is a must see and was on our tour of Gibraltar. Pictures just don't begin to show how amazing a feat of tunneling through the rock of Gibraltar. I have a few showing which tunnels we went in. The world war II tunnels are a different tour we didn't go on. The tunnel goes into and down slight angle into the rock and is a good uphill hike to get out of the tunnel. It is recommended to go on a tour with a local guide, ours was through Princess Cruises.

Very nice new walking experience. When our guide told us that we should be careful about how much we go down, that much we will go up. After reaching certain point, we knew what was he talking about. Really greatly interpreted to tourists, I don't see many multi-language speaking machines at attractions. There was also much to read and see. Everything in this tunnel had some history, which is written on boards, so everyone can read it. I really appreciate the work of miners, who had to dig this tunnel a long time ago. Really recommend visiting this place if you have 40 minutes to spare.

Very interesting place to see, nice to cool down to chill off on a hot day.I'm 6ft 1 and had no head room - beware on low ceilings

Impressive tunnels, somewhat narrow. Be careful not to hit your head. It’s the same way in and out, so the further you venture in, the further you have to go back afterwards. Well worth the visit, great views.

Interesting insight. Just be aware it is a fair way down and therefore a bit of a climb back the way you came in
