Im
so
disappointed
with
puregym
shawlands.
Pre
covid
I
was
an
active
member,
who
took
classes
regularly
etc
and
I
loved
it.
During
covid
I
was
catastrophically
injured,
and
am
now
permenantly
disabled.
I
knew
shawlands
had
a
wheelchair
accessible
entrance
but
messaged
the
gym
directly
to
ascertain
their
adaptations
for
wheelchair/disabled
members.
I
emailed
twice,
and
received
no
reply.
I
learned
from
someone
who
was
a
former
PT
there
that
they
don't
have
many
accessible
machines
at
all,
despite
the
access
door.
I'm
disappointed
by
both
this
and
the
absolute
radio
silence
from
puregym
on
the
subject-
if
you
don't
have
the
machines
available,
I'd
rather
know
than
them
continue
to
take
my
money
and
I
turn
up
unable
to
do
anything.
I
feel
I
wasn't
replied
to
for
this
reason,
that
if
they
admitted
they
couldn't
adapt
things
they'd
lose
me
as
a
member.
I
hate
how
if
I
was
active
and
able,
I'd
be
at
the
gym
I
went
to
for
years.
I
since
joined
another
gym
who
not
only
had
the
accessible
machines
but
taught
me
how
to
access
them,
and
it
turns
out
I
can
use
some
machines
without
adaptations
at
all
(so
if
shawlands
had
gotten
back
to
me
and
let
me
see
what
I
could
do
with
help,
they
wouldn't
have
lost
my
membership).
I
feel
the
situation
was
albest
and
I'm
upset
that
my
injuries
have
lost
me
the
gym
I'm
used
to
and
comfortable
with,
because
they
were
too
scared
to
admit
they
aren't
accessible
for
disabled
users
despite
the
misleading
entrance.
