Coffee was decent nothing special but lovely staff and chilled vibe while waiting for the coffee to be made. Edited this review on 2nd june. Came in for quick bite to eat so got a tuna and cheese melt. It was delicious i wanted to purchase another one. Enjoyed another latte but this time with a caramel shortcake. Wow it was lovely. Recommend this place for the vibe and music. Staff could work on welcoming you a bit better. Maybe it's the management as i didn't see the staff slack for a second. Just my own thoughts.

The first time in living memory when I actually demanded my money back for the food. Fish and chips cost over 7 pounds with a can of juice and simply didn't smell fresh, nevermind the tiny portion. Honestly, you get served so much better in a chippie. Two stars, because they at least refunded me without any hassle. Very, very average.

There was no staff at the counter. Had to go n look for them. They were all sittng at a table and it looked like they all decided to take a break at the same time. The lady who served us was nice and helpful. The decaf tea was nice. I also got the dime cake, which was room temperature and had a " freezer" smell. It didn't taste fresh and wasn't very nice. I think the dime cake should probably be kept in a fridge and served chilled. Overall I thought it was ok but I wouldn't rush back

Nice coffee shop and great coffee. Brunch brioche buns a bit heavy and scrambled eggs overdone (more a thick omelette)

Had a very nice Cappucino with my husband before an appointment at the new Victoria hospital. Staff were very pleasant but asked for 2 cappuccino's without chocolate. Pointed this out and server was very apologetic and offered to remake the coffee but we didn't ask him to remake them. Only point was the toilet floor was very wet as was the sink and the soap dispenser was broken and hand dryer was very slow. Did say to staff before we left..

Great coffee, tea selection and tasty food, both savoury and sweet. Easy going, friendly. Just a wee bit pricey and the wooden chairs could be comfier. Free Wifi.

I loved this little cafe. I went there with a friend and it was very accommodating as she has disabilities so it was very accessible for her. Had a bacon roll which I loved along with a latte which is probably one of the best I've ever had, I did have to add a lot of sugar although I'm a very sweet person and usually have to do this regardless. Nice little cosy area with very comfy seats and different heights of seats which is good for those with disabilities. Would highly recommend this place for a wee cuppa or breakfast or lunch.

It depends what you want. In my experience, Coffeescene is mostly quiet, you will get a seat. There is food, a basic menu - though fresh and good quality. The service is similarly acceptable - understated, but competent and respectful of regulars. The facilities are clean and entirely adequate. The coffee is as good as at any of the bigger name chains. If you're looking for a simple chillout space, a neutral venue for a catch up, or an affordable 'office' in which to work in sufficient comfort - in the Battlefield area, and right by a mainline station into Central - Coffeescene is as good as it gets. Nothing fancy, everything you need. For myself, I go back again and again and recommend it for the above purposes and reasons.

Popular place for Quality coffee. Large range of different types of coffee they also sell snacks, drinks, Ice cream and a whole lot more. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of Central Perk from Friends. It really is a good place to relax, have a coffee and use their free secure WiFi. Brilliant!!

Seem to be a few negative reviews about this place. Can't say I've ever experienced a chipped mug. I've occasionally had an abrupt member of staff but nothing unfriendly. This is a nice cosy cafe, with a good selection of warm snacks. Good music. Good coffee. A relaxed vibe. Far better than the typical imported US chains.

Place was filthy , returned cake twice , rock solid !! , never have i sat beside an overflowing bin on a shop floor , random customer decided to start sweeping and emptied the the dustpan in the bin beside me and the wind blew it into my coffee .. disgusting.!!! .. supervisor was hard as nails .. got refund and left .. nicer cleaner coffee shops on battlefield rd , who I will happily spend my money in !!!

👍👍 An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
