πŸ‘πŸ‘ Very good service. I tried the calamari rings and a grilled blue grenadier. The blue grenadier was very bland with no taste. Very nicely fried and crispy with lots of fresh salad mixed with veggies and they serve with coleslaw and a mayo sauce. I personally do not like coleslaw and the mayo sauce.... People often mention fish, chips, fresh, burger, good, grilled, service, delicious, salad, calamari,

Very good service. I tried the calamari rings and a grilled blue grenadier. The blue grenadier was very bland with no taste. Very nicely fried and crispy with lots of fresh salad mixed with veggies and they serve with coleslaw and a mayo sauce. I personally do not like coleslaw and the mayo sauce. My personal suggestion would be the veggies in the salad if served hot instead of cold would be a 10/10.we also tried the veggie burger which was also very good but they ran out of veggie burger the very next day we went with our kids again but they were very nice and offered to make a fried egg along with a potato patty in the burger if my husband can have egg .Will visit again for sure to have the calamari rings.

We visited for the 1st time last week. Barramundi was amazing! Veggie burger was awesome..and a good veggie burger is very hard to find. Chips and cakes were fantastic. Also the fish cakes were so delicious but ate them before we took the pics haha Guy on the next table raved about the calamari too. Highly recommended πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

You know when they say..it just hit the spot!!! We ordered the fish tacos (best I have had and such a great meal size serve with fresh juicy fish inside!), grilled snapper with salad, grilled calamari, salt and pepper calamari and scallops. What a treat...every dish was like fresh from the sea, an absolute treat. Definitely going back whenever we feel like seafood!!! Service was fantastic and you feel welcomed and looked after. Be back soon!

Great fish and chips. Simple food done correctly πŸ‘. Customer service on point, friendly staff and the food tasted great. 4/5 on food because of dim sim was burnt. Price reasonable for the food. Definitely will come back. Keep up the good work! Thank you! πŸ‘

Such a lovely meal. Excellent quality and outstanding friendly service. Photos are taken part way through our meal - once I realised how delicious it all was. Fish Tacos. Very generous serving. Kids Calamari and chips - 4 very large calamari and adult salt and pepper calamari with 2 different salads and chips. Also very generous serve.

Great fish and best chips in town. Had an Akubra Burger, check out the pic. Wow. Second photo dec2023 Same perfect burger ! Third photo, empty plate, shows how these wonderful burgers are not dripping in grease.... I'll assume that's much healthier ! Ohhh, and their daily made coleslaw I buy for my bbqs as it is the best. Latest pic - another PERFECT Akubra Burger!!!

The fish here is absolutely top notch. We tried the fish tacos (catch of the day) which are a very large portion, and the grilled salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the service is excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

I’m new to Carnegie and am so grateful to have found this place. Having attended several times, trying a wide array of foods. Burgers are delicious, old school and new school available. The fish and chips are extremely fresh, calamari is top shelf, and the customer service has been equally fantastic. I’m fussy with the quality of fish and chips, and therefore felt compelled to share my positive experience with this store. I’ll be a regular. Please keep up the high standards. Cheers, Andrew.

Great tucker! It's easy to see that these owners have perfected what a modern fish and chip shop should be since they opened a few years back. They clearly have been in the game for years and it also refreshing to see authentic Greeks at work in there adopted take away food choice for Aussies of all persuasion . Fresh and fine take away. Sorry no photo to go with this post, I ate the food to quickly. Its a yes from me!

Great fish and chips by a family-run business. I got the sinker at $24, which came with lots of fried seafood, chips and a salad! They do the basics well. The fish of the day and chips were delicious. Their potato cakes were not traditionally sized and lacked flavour. Don’t forget to ask for tartare sauce if you want it. The Greek salad added a nice balance to the meal. The portion sizes were very filling. Expect to spend around $22-25 for a fish pack here.

There's over 20 fish n' chip shops within a 5km radius of Carnegie and The Catch would be in the top three. If you haven't tried this place, give it a go. Chips are great, unlike those dried cheap-shop yellow ones. Fish/burgers/wraps are also very good and the potato cakes are at least as good as what you get from those cheap fish n' chip shop places.

First time ordering from The Catch Carnegie and wasn't disappointed!!! Ordered the Cowboy burger and it was delicious just like the potato cake that was cooked in fresh clean oil and actually had potato in it, unlike other places that are just made with batter. The guys @ The Catch were super friendly and even threw in a free potato cake. Thanks Gents 😊 I give this place 4.9 only because they didn't have any pineapple for my burger but everything else was tops.

Last Friday was hot and humid, it seems the norm for Melbourne. I decided to enjoy the local fish n chips. This place definitely fulfilled the craving. Good food at a fair price. Will return.

So satisfied. That’s probably the best fish and salad I’ve had ever had! Just got a grilled barramundi and Greek salad. Best quality. The fish was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The salad was also so fresh and yum - quality ingredients from the feta to the olives to the lettuce to the cucumber (love the cut) to the olive oil. Also the service was excellent by the friendly gentleman that served and cooked. Just moved to Carnegie, so this is the new spot! Blessed.

Just moved to the area and thought I'd try my new local fish and chips for Friday night, especially based on the reviews. Ordered the line fish pack with greek salad and tarter sauce. Wow! Easily the best fish and chips I've had. Well done boys! The Greek influence shines through with quality over cheap products. Friendly, family run and definitely recommended.

Ordered two burgers and a some chips. Cowboy Burger: decently presented and fairly priced for beef advertised as grain fed. Bun was standard, soft and toasted with care. Vegetables were fresh. Beef however was a bit of a letdown, was cooked nicely with a hint of pink. I had expected it to be a juicy grain fed patty, but seemed rather dry and a little on the dense side. Overall taste was on the salty side, masking all the other flavours. Aegean: I probably should have asked if the fish was grilled or fried. It was the same soft toasted bun, fresh veggies, had a pleasant herb mayo, however the texture would have been better if the soft grilled fish was fried adding a contrasting texture to the already soft bun. Overall clean tasting food, would definitely recommend to locals in the area.

Ate here for the first time this weekend and it really exceeded expectations - I find good fish and chips hard to come by, and this place was so good I already can't wait to come back! We had two types of fish (battered and grilled), prawns, calamari, and scallops. Everything was delicious and not overly salty. Our 4-year-old loved her grilled fish and had a whole piece to herself! I mentioned how much I enjoyed the fish, and the owner told me he fillets the fish in store and visits the fish markets himself to ensure he gets fresh and quality fish. The portions were sizable and reasonably priced for how tasty it was. Also the dining space was clean, and the service very friendly.

This used to be the best fish and chips in Melbourne but clearly new owners because the food is absolutely revolting just threw my entire meal in the bin, chips rotten, green thick revolting potato cake and the burger was just awful. Yuk was going to just not order again but it is so bad that this deserves to be noted, better off buying dog meat and make yourself a dog meat sandwich. These guys need to close down

One of the best Fish and Chip experiences I have ever had. My seafood was cooked perfectly and battered well-very crispy. Chips were a good thickness soft enough to eat. The greek salad actually had fresh ingredients which was nice for a change. Overall the portion size was worth the money.

Friendly and prompt service. Bought traditional pack which is about $22 per head. Salad and chips great. Fish was grilled and nearly cold. Calamari completely missing. Feel like what i was missing in portion size was spent on packaging...4 diff containers.

Chips were nice, fish was fresh but my daughters burger was well under cooked and left a sour taste in our mouths (almost pun intended). No upset tummy so no harm done though which is good. Especially since she ate most of the burger before we saw it :\

We have a coeliac young daughter and went into The Catch to ask if they had any options for her. The gentleman who owns the business was not only extremely helpful and accommodating, but the chef also checked to make sure everything was fine. We ordered a grilled fish and Gluten Free chips which were very good, we also ordered the non- gluten free traditional family pack the us. Everything was cooked perfectly and was fresh and delicious! Thank you for being so helpful and fastidious, we will be regulars moving forward.
