Excellent dinner experience, the beef balls were delicious, we ordered an Angus beef share meal for $70, it was delicious, mushroom sauce and grilled lemon added points to the meat! The beef was a bit overcooked on the outside, I'm not used to bitterness, but the doneness on the inside was outstanding (I ordered middle) The green salad I give very high rating(it is included in the sharing meal)

Best steak on the Coast. Absolutely delicious and the sauces that go on them are all outstanding. The chips are overpriced and the greens are nice. Seating inside and outside but hardly any parking so be prepared for a short walk from street parking. Defiantly worth a visit!!

5 star steak place. We were satisfied from the entrees alone. The steaks were juicy and the service met expectations. Expensive but worth it. Pictured: Roast bone marrow, wagyu meatballs, beef tartare, rib fillet with black garlic butter, eye fillet with redcurrant jus

Favourite steakhouse for a reason! Consistently delicious food, well paired wines and attentive service. You can’t dine here without ordering their entrees- bone marrow, goats cheese arancini and beef tartare are all divine picks. For the steaks, my personal favourite is their 500g sharing sirloin MB6-7 for $90 as it is always cooked perfectly, each bite tender and full of flavour. This time we opted for the smaller sirloin on the bone for $50 which was also delicious, albeit a bit Grainier than the sharing sirloin. They also have a $120 T-bone steak that’s like very big so good for sharing but imo, very average steak so one I personally would not bother to reorder. They serve their steaks with polenta on each plate, the creamy flavour and crispy shell being a wonderful compliment to your steak. Roasted carrots with the yoghurt and dukkah are a lovely side to their steaks and one we cannot go past ordering every time. Their chips are also pre good. Have had some of the other Vege sides but none hold a candle against the carrots. Lastly, I can’t be bothered sifting through my phone for photos but you REALLY cannot leave without ordering the ethereal apple crumble with pouring caramel and vanilla bean ice cream. It is SO delicious.

Wow wow wow. Best steak I've had in a long while! I had the dry aged sirloin on the bone. It was cooked to perfection, juicy tender and succulent. Perfect charr. Was a lot for just me though, so might share that same steak next time. We also had the roasted bone marrow on toast and boy was that a treat!! Attentive and lovely service, nice ambience... We'll be back!

I was looking forward to have a nice T-bone steak for dinner but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The meat was cold and flavourless! For what we’ve paid I was expecting excellent quality but that wasn’t the case. Don’t recommend for steak lovers!

This is the spot to visit to satisfy your meat cravings. The beef tartare was delicious, rich with a well balanced acidic touch to add depth. The raclette was a good buffer in between the meaty dishes and brought some fruity and sweet flavours to the table. Call me crazy but the bone marrow just wasn’t for me… It would be perfect for someone who loves meaty collagenous oil flavours but it was just too rich for my palate. At this point we had overestimated our ability in handling the entrees however the main character had yet to show itself… Out came the two beauties of steaks the eye fillet and bone in sirloin and my they spoke for themselves. Do yourself a favour and please eat them rare, or at least medium rare pleeeeease! They were so tender you did not have to cut them. Paired with a little seeded mustard it was amazing. All in all, if you need your meat fix and want good meats and steaks cooked well you need to visit The Glenelg Public House.

We went on a quiet day for the lunch service and were delighted. Food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! We got a sharer steak with a couple of sides. The steak was cooked fantastically! The sides were all really nice. The service was very prompt but somehow also quite relaxed in a good way. Of the two steak restaurants I've been to on the Gold Coast this is by far the better!

This place is a little gem. Simple but oh so good. The food was exceptional, had the shared steak, I have not had a steak like that in many many years. The atmosphere was great, the staff very professional, the wine list extensive and very very good. We also had crumble for dessert, not something I would normally choose, but was delicious and melted in the mouth, the butterscotch sauce was fabulous as was the vanilla bean ice cream. Reasonably priced as well. Only con, I would have liked a bigger shared side dish of fries. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back five stars. 😋

Enjoyable atmosphere with outdoor seating and heaters. My partner and I got here quite late and they kindly were able to accommodate us with food before the kitchen closed. Location could be nicer, between a busy highway and a carpark. Drink and food prices slightly higher than expected based on the location but overall a great experience, service and food.

The service here was exceptional; we were extremely pleased by the Swiss waiter, he was so patient and so attentive with us! The share steak platter was definitely worth ordering: succulent and tender👌

Lovely place with nice food! The staff were incredibly nice and offered great service. The steak was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the bone marrow and fries on the side which were tasty. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in GC! Thank you

Due to their use of seasonal and fresh produce and exquisite dishes, The Glenelg Public House is a must-try steak venue in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast. The extensive menu, lovely service and a nice ambience, it ticks all the boxes of a fine establishment. The entrees, especially the bone marrow was divine. More so, 1kg Angus T-bone steak was juicy and cooked perfectly - each bite was tender and full of flavour. The sides and sauces complimented the steak beautifully, especially the Paris Mash which so amazing and creamy.

Lucky enough to snag an early dinner table tonight as the restaurant was fully booked from 5pm until close. Fabulous service and fantastic food. Absolutely perfectly cooked steaks! We both ordered medium and they were perfectly pink and juicy but well rested, without one drop of blood. With amazing sauces to accompany but tbh the flavour of the steak itself meant I would have been happy to eat it alone! But…. Horseradish is life! The starter bread and butter is 🤌 too! Add a couple of drinks in and we had no room for dessert. Next time! Thank you for an amazing meal GPH 😋

Tasty steak, good starters, even the meatballs were yummy. Very rich and hearty, but confusing and fulfilling. All cooked well and tasty.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff were so personable. The entrees were amazing, the Wagyu beef was perfectly cooked, but we were expecting something a little more marbled for the price. Overall, I'd highly recommend this establishment.

Have eaten here previously for lunch and dinner but not for a while. Still as good as ever. Excellent food and service. Steak was cooked to perfection and the apple crumble was fantastic. (Dog friendly outside)

Great steak and friendly staff. Was alittle disappointed as we booked an outdoor table and ended up having to sit inside

Some parts of the steak was burnt and tough Gave me the bread’s butt (the end part) and very hard Pepper sauce was too strong But the mushroom sauce was okay The manager who is 160cm was very rude and spilt water on our table but didn’t apologise or wipe it… But the tall waiter was very nice Oyster was good and fresh Cauliflower was okay

Absolutely outstanding in every way. Great staff and the food superb. Will be most appreciated by those who prefer top quality steaks - you will not find better on the coast. We were a large table with a variation of items ordered and everyone of us walked out saying "WOW"! Will definitely be back and spreading the word.

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner here for our wedding anniversary. The food here is always good. My steak was medium instead of the medium rare I ordered. I did mention it to the man who asked and heard nothing back. I showed him it was definitely medium. It was still delicious and the mushroom sauce is to die for. Sides are quite expensive but also delicious.
