First time at the tavern we were seated really quickly but the waitress didn’t explain to us about ordering just said tap and order there ?? Took us a while one of our phone wouldn’t let us do it in the mean time seen people go up and order ?? So drinks came quick and good but are mains came when we were still just eating starters ? My meal was nice 👍 my husbands wasn’t it was not worth 35 bucks for a steak and scoop of mash etc sorry 😞 but was really looking forward to going there

We had a lovely meal. The 3 female staff members we interacted with were all lovely….very friendly and helpful. One staff member showed us how to use the QR code to order a meal….who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!!!! We also took our dog with us…..so we were seated outside…very nice (no real view but not the fault of the pub). We’d go there again

AMAZING experience! The staff are so friendly & they just made it such an amazing experience. The food is incredible, such a great menu & every meal is done so well. We’re from the sunshine coast & I would literally drive to the gold coast just to visit this place. I have & will continue to. Wish I could give 10/5 stars! 🤩

GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with family (10 of us)when a drink spilled on the table, before I could blink Tahlia the table service staff member was over like a shot “Oh don’t worry let me clean up the spill… What were you drinking, let me get you another drink” As you know this just doesn’t happen anymore. Top marks to the OX for service and good food. 100/100%

Today I took my son to play with other children in the play area. We ate first and all seemed to be going well. In comes a large group/ family with children of varying ages. As one mum disappeared into the adult room to play pokies the kids started to congregate and play roughly around the main bar, and the adult room entrance way. One little girl proceeded to yell for her mum as the little boy blocked her from going in to get her. It was out of hand and not one member of staff stepped in to remind the family that they should not have the kids running around the bar area. There was a toddler crawling on the floor and headed straight past our table and was down the ramp before mum even got up and dealt with it. My son went to play in the children’s area and the group of children that came with this family continued to verbally abuse him and punch him. He couldn’t get away as the girl blocked him. When he finally came out he was traumatized and incredibly upset. I have taught my son to get me or call me straight away if he is upset, but he couldn’t get his words out. This family should have been talked to straight away as the children were completely out of hand and not supervised properly by the adults. I am disgusted and I feel angry and upset that my son has to go through this. I reported this to the girl behind the bar. I told her what had happened and I said the children have been out of hand since this family arrived. She said : “yes I know they are completely out of hand and I will report this to my boss!!” Yet not one member of staff dealt with it there and then. Disgusting and I will never return to this place again. I have gradually seen this place become rougher and rougher, and this is the final straw for me. Management you need to start putting measures in place to ensure your staff step up before there are big consequences. I won’t add photos out of respect but i can tell you I am not happy and considering my options. It would appear many comments are made on here about the same issues and you respond with … thank you for your feedback… what are you actually doing about it!?!?

Food was amazing, service was even better!! Had an issue with an item that wasn't mentioned on the menu. They fixed up the dish and updated the menu. Amazing keep it up.

We came with the family and had a great meal, sat outside under the heaters, was a great night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. See you again.

Had dinner on a Saturday night. First the food is good and that is the reason we came back after an initial dinner last year when times were quieter. However noting it was a busy Saturday evening, the kids play area could only be described as a disgrace. Over crowded in total but over-run by 8-12 yo boys fighting and very rough playing in there. Climbing on top of the busy play equipment and jumping to the ground. Knocking smaller kids to the ground etc. Our 3yo girl who was looking forward to a playground whilst we could have a semi relaxing dinner was totally destroyed. The kids play area is supposed to be supervised by parents as is messaged on the wall at entry to playground. It was anything but. It meant we could not relax a moment whilst either trying to stop our little one from going into the play area or when we could not stop her then one of us having to watch over her whilst the other eating dinner. It's a disgrace that parents did not keep any supervision of there kids or that the hotel management did nothing to keep some order. What if a younger child was seriously injured? Who is responsible for this. Don't make the mistake of going there with your kids certainly on a Saturday night. I only give it 2:stars as the is food is good for pub food. We could then talk about no payment by credit card....

Amazing service. Amazing food! The manager Marg *I hope that was right* was amazing right from the start! What was suppose to be a 2 minute phone call to book a table was actually a 7 minute chit chat about life. Laughing and joking from the start, amazing customer service. Was great from the moment we walked in! Felt like we had been friends for a lifetime. Amazing overall! Highly recommend Oxenford Tavern for the delicious food and the epic service! Will definitely be going again!

Amazing food and people. One of my mates ordered food and the online menu didn't specify the ingredients and was hoping it didn't have ham but turned out it did. Once we raised it woth them, they were so friendly and happily asked to replace the meal and also confirmed they would be updating the online menu to include the ingredients. Service at its best and food is just 🤤🤤..to die for.

It's local to me. Been there a few times now. Food is good. Service is via a QR code and go to the bar for drinks. Atmosphere. Well, if you love a place where kids run around with little parent interaction then this is the place for you. I doubt we'll ever go back, only due to the kids bumping into your table and the parents laughing. Thinking it's OK. A shame. But that's just my opinion (of the 5 odd times we've been)

Always a stand up experience here. The staff really make it! They are always so friendly and warm it makes the biggest difference. The food has always been outstanding and good portions to. Defiently recommend for a good meal, or a few drinks and their trivia nights as well!

What a perfect way to finish off a week long holiday! From start to finish the staff here were attentive and welcoming. Majority of the credit will have to go to our server Teegan! Running us through her recommendations and her keen eye for detail. Let's not forget to mention the kindness she showed towards our 3 girls! Highly recommend, extremely family friendly, cozy and the food is next level. Thanks team for a great night!

Simple and plain food but good food and kids friendly place. I arrived only a little before closing time and they managed to whip up a chicken parmigiana in what felt like an amazingly short time. Food was plain, but hot and tasted good

13 hour travel to Queensland was well worth it especially after eating here, our host Teegan was very attentive to us and even suggested that I get the pie which was to die for, we also got their desserts for the table and we were drooling over them, would definitely recommend coming here if your ever in the area.

The best pub one the North side of the Gold Coast. All staff is friendly and welcoming and they treat their occupants with the utter most respect.

Valentine’s Day with my hubby, didn’t want anything too fancy and love a pub feed so headed to this tavern. Food was surprisingly good, little bit of a wait but we were told upon entry which was nice. Stand out of the night was the waitress Samantha… From the moment we walked in the door she had fantastic service and a beautiful smile on her face. Even throughout our dinner she made an effort to check on us and make us laugh, though she was noticeably very busy. Please pass on our gratitude to Samantha as she is the reason for our 5 star. Will come back (:

Enjoyed our visit thoroughly. Food was lovely. Service was good. Excellent value kids meals that include juice and ice cream. The kids play areanis a highlight as it allowed my husband and I to enjoy our meal and not have to rush. I do recommend booking as even on Monday night it was quite busy. Will definitely go back.

Been going here for nearly 10 years. It’s definitely taken a dive. No waiter/waitress, you will have to order with your phone. Empty glasses won’t be cleared from your table, the staff won’t say a word and the food is less than pub grub.

Had a fantastic lunch today which was made even better but the great customer service we received from Candice. She was so friendly and helpful. Hope she is here when we come back next.

Minimum people in the restaurant. Having an over 45 minute wait. Other patrons that arrived quite a while after us received their meals before us. How long does it take to prepare/cook garlic bread and grilled fish??? Found the whole experience very impersonal and definitely won't be recommending this restaurant.

Fantastic tavern great atmosphere free burgers on a friday and free raffle tickets with every beer you buy highly recommend this place .

With out a doubt, I had the best chicken Schnitty I have ever had. Their range is phenomenal. If I lived closer, I would be a regular. Brilliant customer service and very friendly staff, not to mention it’s a great place for kids, with a beautiful playground, even with a security camera to monitor your kids!

We would like to give a huge shout out of appreciation for the outstanding, friendly service we receive every week from Sharon. Not only does she recognise my voice when I call to book but remembers our favourite table !!! She is a total credit to the tavern and honestly have never received such wonderful service. Christmas Lunch Banquet to remember Food fresh and cooked to perfection. Huge variety to choose from. Premises was decorated beautifully, and staff were exceptionally happy, friendly, professional, and attentive to everyone. Will go next year and recommend to everyone. Thanks for such a beautiful Christmas.

I was disappointed in the service. We met a lovely elderly couple while there. A 78 year old lady and 93 year old male. We watched them get treated poorly by your staff. They struggled with the phone ordering. Staff ‘helped’ but not to the end. So the couple thought they had ordered and sat for an hour with no food or drinks till it was realised they hadn’t ordered correctly. They asked multiple staff for help. One staff was walking away when being spoken to and even rolled her eyes. I was appalled to see such unfair service from staff members. It was not busy at all, staff had time to chat to each other but not to help customers or clean up tables that sat filled with dirty plates for over an hour. The food unfortunately was also not great. Our drinks also sat on the bar for a considerable amount of time and were served to us with melted ice. Our chips were cold and or orders not given correctly. The only thing that was great about our lunch was meeting a wonderful couple with some wonderful stories. Shame the staff couldn’t have been polite and helpful to them.

Great place for a quick bite. Huge servings, and well cooked. Super friendly service. The kids area was great for our children and we loved the TV that enabled us to keep an eye on the kids in there while we ate.

Was busy when we went but we still got our drinks and meals brought out Farley quickly.. I had the seafood linguine and it was quite nice

I've not been there for quite a while & when went back, it has made a lot of changes. Comfy & homely atmosphere, very nice staff & my meal was superb ! Nice job, guys !

I ordered the ribs after reading a few reviews on how great they are - unfortunately they were very average. They were grey and didn't have any charcoal burnt ends so it looks like they hadn't been on a grill, and the BBQ sauce was put on the top side at the end, rather than being basted on both sides while being grilled. The kids pizza was a frozen McCains type mini pizza. The other four folks in our group enjoyed their meals.

It is a happy environment with warm and funny staff. They run raffles and you get tickets for just buying a drink. The lady running the raffle was a great host and really increased the community spirit within the bar. Commendations to the organisers and staff. Wouldn't hesitate to go for a family meal too.

Very disappointed with the meals ! We ordered 3 chicken schnitzels some with salad and chips and one with mash potatoes and veggies. Chips were so salty and the schnitzel was 2 cm thick and hard as rock. I guess we won’t be returning here 😞
