Hard to rate as the first half of our experience was great, we were a big party and the waitresses were attentive, drinks came quickly and we were constantly asked what we wanted next so we were never without a drink or food - service in general was good and waitress removed glasses and plates so decks were clear and clean. Then there must have been a shift change as we waited an age for drinks, for some reason the new waitress didn’t go around the table but instead took singular drinks orders then disappeared and it felt like we were sat with nothing to drink for so long which killed the mood. We had to go and find someone to come and take our order and it was a complete change from what we’d experienced earlier. So overall it’s 3 stars from me, food great, nice cocktails but service hit and miss! I don’t think I’d return to be honest.

A frequent customer of this restaurant. Always great live music but can be too loud sometimes, good atmosphere. Food is 50/50, sometimes it’ll be great, sometimes it’ll be average, choose wisely. Fishbowls are all ice and only for show, recommend getting a normal cocktail instead. Service is good, staff are always friendly.

This is a venue for families, friends, dates, parties, celebrations. Super service! Live music and on a rainy Wednesday, it lifts the spirits! Our kids ate well, diving into the chicken parmigiana and a cheeseburger. The drinks menu screams “party” and the Rhino lager is cheap and easy drinking. The food menu is a list of crowd pleasers, you can’t go wrong. The chips (my personal benchmark) were crisp and hot. What I liked best was that nothing (NOTHING) was a problem for any of the awesome, friendly, smiling staff who prepared a table outside for us when it looked like the weather was drying up, and then moved us inside when the rain came again. If stuck, go here for a good time. If you’re not stuck, still come here!

Such a great place to dine at! Staff were amazing and friendly, food was perfect. We ended up getting small things to share. There are plenty of cool cocktails to choose from! We went on a Friday night and there was live music. The atmosphere was great for all different age groups. We loved it so much we went again the next day for just drinks. Probably one of the best places I've dinned at here on the Gold Coast. I have previously been about 3 years ago and liked the place then too, that was the reason for my return. The truffle chips are must if you come here! Thank you for a great night!

Great bar/restaurant with a really cool feel/design. Plenty of modern delicious options on the menu, without being too extensive. Food was really fresh and made quickly too. Portions were great size and good value. Great friendly attentive wait and bar staff. We had the nachos, pork bowl arancini burger and sangria which were all excellent. Cool place in a great location with a really nice vibe.

A great spot for cocktails and delicious food designed for sharing. Loved the halomui fries, Beef brisket sliders, chilli prawns and the nachos. Great cocktails too!

The ambiance was great, food and drinks looked and tasted good. The share cocktail was very yummy although we did buy a couple of extra shots to put in as you couldn't really taste any alcohol. We enjoyed the music and the kids enjoyed playing a monster game of connect 4 at the table. All the cocktails flowing out of the bar looked amazing.

Me and my friend are visiting from Melbourne and we almost didn’t come here due to that bad reviews but we did. We left speechless as the food and cocktails was delicious, the service was amazing and all the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend this place money well spent.

Very slow service. We waited for almost 20min to someone take our order. Food arrived before drinks. Pasta was good lot of chicken and creamy but overcooked. Caesar salat was decent but nothing special. Cocktails - long island was very watery. Didn’t feel any alcohol in it. Other cocktail were good and with cool presentation.

DELICIOUS and super cool cocktails! We had a great dinner here. We got the Beauty and the beast cocktails and the way they are served is awesome. Friendly staff and the meals were super yum! Would recommend for sure.

Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Just a little disappointed by the food. Nacho chips were a little burnt and for the veggie option there was very little beans.

Cannot rate our night last night at White Rhino high enough. The food was amazing the drinks were the best (we almost tried all the cocktails on the list) the live music was so much fun the best line up of songs and real talent! The service was the best service we have received anywhere ever! Thank you all for such an amazing night!

We had a joint birthday party here in a well presented separate outdoor space - with excellent share plates, fresh and delicious. Friendly staff Mel and Ellie who promptly resolved a slight billing issue. Recommended for functions.

Starting on the positives - the staff were great, were super attentive and lovely. Now onto the negative. I did not want to put this in a google review without giving the restaurant opportunity to comment to me directly - however unfortunately they have not even bothered to reply to my email whereby I notified them of the SEVERE food poisoning my husband and myself undoubtedly received there last week after eating there for dinner. After having shared no other food that day, my husband and I came here for dinner and shared the duck spring rolls, bruschetta and creamy chicken carbonara last Wednesday night. About 4-6 hours of eating we started feeling queasy. By 2 am we were profusely vomiting, had diarrhea, terrible body chills, aches and muscle weakness. Some of these these symptoms lasted 4 full days (and we still don’t have our full appetites after 7 days), which entirely ruined our seven day holiday. We had to spend it in our hotel room instead. Let me be clear about the seriousness of this illness cause by the food here- it left us completely bed ridden, barely able to stand and in pure agony. It was 36 hours before we ate again. As I couldn’t even keep water down my three month old suffered as well, as she was unable to get decent milk supply as I was breastfeeding. I could barely even able hold her 5kg body I was so weak. My husband was far worse than me, and he had eaten slightly more of the pasta dish so I suspect it was this that caused the poisoning. It was touch and go to hospitalize him. For half of a dish to give two full grown adults the sickness it did, I could only imagine the disastrous outcome if we had of eaten a full bowl, let alone if a child ate it. To not even receive a response to my polite notification they may need to look into some of their practices is an absolute disgrace - you (and we) are lucky the outcome was not worse and by chance we shared our dinner on the first night of our holiday which halved the load of the poisoning. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Had a function here and we couldn’t fault it. We organised the function with Pia, who was amazing. Always very quick and efficient when replying to emails and lovely to speak to on the phone. Nothing was too much to ask. At the venue Mel looked after us, who was also amazing. Always checking in and making sure we were having a great time. Another function was booked in the same space after ours, which we was told way ahead of ours finishing, Mel made sure we had a small space to continue our celebrations which was perfect. All of our guests enjoyed the food that was brought out, along with cocktails from the bar. We would 100% recommend having a function with White Rhino. Thank you again☺️

Charged 10 percent surcharge, which I wasn't aware of until I got home and decided to check my bill, I called and asked about it and was told it's because it's Sunday, no signage, wasn't told when I was ordering or when I paid. As someone who has works in hospitality venues, I know the law, you are required to clearly state any surcharge and the reason why, that didn't happen from start to finish, it's not on their website either. No face masks worn by the staff either! The food I would give 5 stars, well done kitchen and the server was nice too but the unexplained surcharge and the no mask wearing by the staff, NOT ONE I saw wearing one, is a massive turnoff. Word spreads quickly about venues that flaunt the rules, I guess they haven't taken that into account.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner last night and everything was amazing! Our waitress Maria was so friendly and gave us such great service. Plus the happy hour is such a great deal and we had no clue so that was a nice surprise. Food was unreal and cocktails/mocktails were great! We will definitely be back!

White Rhino recently hosted my birthday / engagement party. The team had great communication in the lead up to the event. Our private area on the mezzanine was fantastic with private bar and bathroom. The food was fantastic, service was consistent and staff attentive. Our group had a great night and I’d highly recommend the venue to host a function.

Absolutely excellent experience. Tiago was a gentleman and looked after us wonderfully. What was supposed to be a long enjoyed evening with my partner had to be cut short due to not having a babysitter but we will be back again next opportunity. The food was excellent, fresh and well presented. The pork belly was cooked well just not entirely to our liking, all other share plates were very nice. Overall would definitely recommend and we will be back again for certain.

I had a lovely dinner there with a girlfriend visiting from Sydney last week. The food was exceptional, the decor was lovely, the service was friendly and attentive, and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. My only criticism is that the wine list is very expensive, but that seems par for the course these days. I would definitely return

AMAZING. Partner and I came in on a Saturday night around 6:30pm, we were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. Staff were super helpful and friendly, several vegetarian options on the menu and a full vegan menu available. Pasta tasted like it was freshly made. Absolutely divine! Drinks were lovely - I had a cocktail and my partner had a mocktail. Really well priced for the quality of the meals. Highly recommend.

Just back from a hens weekend on the Gold Coast and what an amazing experience we had at the white rhino. Maxwell and the team went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect night. The food was excellent and the drinks even better. We were made to feel really special and it is something I have never experienced before in a hospitality venue. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks again guys I can’t wait to go back !

Was on holiday to see family. They brought me here for dinner, and wow. Incredible atmosphere. Very beautiful restaurant, great lighting, and furniture. Great food too. Delicious, came out fast and looked and tasted amazing. However the best part was the staff. So friendly and helpful. Really made it a wonderful experience. Will be my first stop for dinner next holiday.

We came here on a Friday night Super friendly staff and easy to find a seat/table The had some live music with some very very talented singers Great choice of cocktail menu - on the menu they do have a guide for how sweet & sour the drink is The drink I ordered was a lot sweeter than expected for the guide listed

We attended the venue tonight, we’re seated at our table and ordered food and drink, the cocktail was awesome! Unfortunately our food didn’t come out, we asked and the young girl working she followed it up, and our food had been taken elsewhere, both the girl serving us and the manager on duty were so apologetic and accommodating, we understand mistakes happen, but the team at white rhino handled it so well, the food was well worth the wait, but would go back again just for the service! Thank you! :)

My friends and I attended this venue on Thursday night an were very impressed from start to finish. The service was friendly and funny and they were extremely quick with our order. The food was just simply amazing! Highly recommend the chicken cabonara. Fruit tingles were big and reasonably priced and so good!
