You could not enjoy a delicious meal and a an ice cold beverage at a more spectacular place with a view. The hotel motel is just such a great place all round. The staff there are very warm and welcoming, polite and very happy to answer any questions you may have about the surrounding area. Great food and very decent price and a great menu to cater for all ages. Great indoor and easy visible kids entertainment area with lots to keep them busy. Outdoor eating and drinking areas where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular view from different aspects and the garden area and all of the the surroundings of the building are kept immaculate.

Came for a birthday lunch. Wonderful atmosphere. Steak was amazing. Wedges too was surprisingly one of the best around. Everyone enjoyed their foods. Will recommend this hotel for their food and view 👍🏻

We only came here to eat dinner and you will not be disappointed! Fantastic rib eye fillet! The steak was amazing! The salad was amazing and their dressing is WOW! Seriously could not better rate this food. The place is packed with locals and now I know why! Awesome place! Make the trip here for a nice feed and a nice place to stay!

Great views, perfect for an afternoon beer on tap and some hot food. They have pool tables and heaps of outdoor seating as well! Parking was easy and accessible with heaps of space. On tap drinks are great, food is pretty basic but does the job!

HIGHLY recommend Eagle Heights Hotel for a wedding venue. We had our wedding outside and the reception in the pavilion. The food was amazing; even made allowances for special food requirements. Brendan and Kaira made the entire day stress free. Constant communication leading up to the day, which helps easy the stress of planning a wedding.

Wanted to eat at a pub playing the Matildas match. Checked that morning that a vegan option was available. Ordered a burger - $22 for patty on a bun with 4 pickles, a slice of tomato and a piece of lettuce!!! No sauce, not even toasted with olive oil! The only good thing was the chips. Other than that - revolting!

Great views and food. The service was also good. Some things were a bit dated but they had activities for kids to do and kids liked their meals.

What a place, this is a good old country charm hotel. There's everything you could ask for. By no means is it a posh place and that's perfect! I stayed here because everything was booked out in the Ipswich area and I'm so thankful as I may not of known that this place existed. However now I know I'll be coming back. Staff can make it break a business and the staff here are amazing. The coffee is 100%. The prices are very reasonable and what ever you think the food tastes like looking at the photo I can tell you that it's as good or better. There's so much accommodation in Qld but treat yourself and come stay here for a few days enjoy the area, the great service, the coffee and of course the view. If you need a place where it's all plastic and fake not for you but if you're chilled AF love a vibe and atmosphere come here for a great coffee, a meal or a few days it really doesn't matter this place is amazing. PS those pancakes are that good I think they must have someone's Nanna working in the kitchen those bad boys took me back in time.

Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. Great spot with fantastic views over the Gold Coast. The wedges were awesome and the staff very friendly.

Had lunch at the eagle Heights hotel today and the meal was fantastic! The service was really friendly, it was quick to come out and tasted delicious. Compliments to the chef!

Food was really good. View was Awesome. This i give 5 stars. It's a long way out from surfers BUT worthy of a good long drive. Be great for an outing if your organising a lunch for a few friends. Thoroughly recommend to all. (Didn't stay there so can't comment on rooms.)

We stopped at the pub for dinner & a drink on the way back from Treetops. The views to the coast are beautiful. The pub is family friendly as were the staff and the food was excellent - big servings and a vegetarian option. Highly recommended.

We came up from the Gold Coast last night for dinner and it was lovely. Food was yum and portions were large. Staff were all so friendly and up for a chat too. We love coming for the drive to have lunch/dinner and have never had a bad experience. The view back to the GC was so pretty. Can’t wait to come back. We did not stay in the accommodation.

Cold beer, good service, friendly manager stopped for a chat with us. It's a little higher priced than normal, but was preparing for exorbitant prices considering its a major tourist stop over spot. I will be sure to order a meal next time. A very outdated pub for such a great location. Would be a great spot with a renovation, more shade outside some lounges etc... but I guess if its all profitable, what the need for an overhaul?

We had a table of 8 and visited for dinner on a Monday night. The food came out in a timely manner and was pretty yummy. We had the prawn pasta, chicken Parma and the burgers. The view was stunning and the service friendly. The grounds were perfect for our toddler to fun around.

Unfortunately I don't have the best review for service to offer on this occasion. It was Sunday night the 17th of September. We called just before 6:45 to ask what time the dining ceased and was informed at 7:15. We were staying at a bed and breakfast only 60 seconds from the hotel motel so we quickly jumped in the car and arrived at about 6:48. Upon arrival I walked to the service counter in the main bar area and stood there for several seconds while one of the bar staff was looking at her phone. After maybe 10 seconds or so I politely said excuse me may I get some service please. With that she abruptly put her phone down looked up at me and said what would you like. I said we called just a few minutes ago and would like to order dinner if we may. Once again abruptly, she said the kitchen closes at 7:15, I said what time is it now, she looked at me glaringly for a few seconds before she said okay what would you like to order. Before approaching the bar we had decided on the lobster mornay and the ribs, which were fantastic I might add. Reset their enjoying our dinner having a couple of double wall turkeys and soda water and Southern Comfort and dry ginger ales. Towards the end of dinner about 7:10 we pushed our plates to the edge of the table and sat there enjoying our drinks. Happens the people who are sitting nearby also had their plates on the end of the table and were quickly cleared away by the female bar staff member. After a few passes I eventually got her attention and said excuse me could you please clear these plates off our table she looked at me very blankly and said yes just a moment. I said if it's ok could you grab them now she says I'll be back in a moment I'm busy. At that point she turned the TVs off which were being watched by a few people because there was some sports being played but she just turned them off without any notice or notification. We noticed a few people looking around in disbelief and what she had just done. Only a moment after that the male bar staff member called Andy turned off the music which then left no atmosphere right so ever in the dining room. At that point we felt very and welcome and grab their drinks and asked if they could put them in takeaway coffee cups because we were leaving. I informed Adam we were leaving because we felt unwelcome and he said oh I'm sorry about that to which I applied know you're not. He just turned his back and walked away at that point. My partner and I have both agreed we will never set foot in that place ever again. My bill came to just under $200 and I wish I had spent it elsewhere.

Food service was ordinary, main meals came out before our carlic bread. Two people eating there mains had finished there's before the others finally come out. Make things even worse we were the only table eating. But lady manager was so rude and unprofessional we'll never go back.

The location is great for the view, but this place could be so much more if management could commit to better operating hours in the restaurant for tourists or even just food at the bar. I get it's a bit of a dead spot for tourists without functions to fuel the fire, but there must be something you can do to get buses rocking up for lunches etc. The rooms are exactly as advertised. It's a motel, the cost like everything else is far too high, but that's the economy, not the motel's fault. Worst thing above all else is that if you hit the bar around 3pm, there's literally no food options other than packets of chips. I mean nothing. No fried chips or potato wedges, easy garlic breads that any spud could warm up in a merry chef microwave etc, etc, just chips and nuts. Sorry but that's not how to run a bar / pub. Not in 2023. I came for the view and quick feed outside of my one time stay the week prior, and my partner needed food to take her medication, and there was salt and vinegar chips and nothing else on offer basically. You can imagine how your stomach would feel after salt and vinegar chips, with a side of antibiotics. How hard can prepping a garlic bread be for bar staff? Easy money to be made right there. Ham and cheese toasties, ready made in the morning? Anyway I could go on, but at least the view is good and they have a decent range of drinks. No high end stuff on offer however. Also easy money being missed.

Seems like a loosely run business. Arrived Saturday at reception - no-one to be found. Rang the bell and it crumbled in my hand and the rest is the rest. Tamborine is best seen by a day trip. Food is pub standard. Cake fridge blew up so no deserts today.

The view is simply, breath-taking... you have to see it to believe it. The whole view of the city out your balcony. The rooms are clean, tidy and come with a view, the service is wonderful from the staff, child-friendly, great place to have an event. Totally recommend this 20 mins out of the Gold Coast Hotel Motel 👌

So disappointing, have been here many times over the years. This time we probably won’t be back, walked out. Front entry door glass is completely smashed we had to hold it open to make it safe for our daughter to walk in. The menu has completely changed to what’s online to the menu in the restaurant. Literally only 15 things on the menu compared to 50+ on there website, understand you guys lost some chefs but you should update the menu online immediately. Update your menu, fix your front door which is dangerous. Either way, will probably only come back to see the view.

Great location and food! Even in Covid times this venue has managed to make the experience pleasant and friendly. Food was amazing and the portion sizes were - huge! I struggled to finish the Eagle Burger. Great view all the way down to the Gold Coast. Perfect for weekend ride through the twisties, or if you can, take a flight with Elite Helicopters for an even more memorable day.

Great venue if only the food lived up to the hotel standard. $34 for a rump that I could only just eat half of. Very gristly, a bit more sinew & fat then normal. It was very hard to cut. Luckily it was a decent amount of chips that filled me up. Salad was pretty dismal also.

Such a lame venue. $12.50 for a basic gin, no cocktails. Great view but obstructed by some boomer hedges. No music, no vibe on a weekend. Such a shame for a fantastic location. This could be a truly iconic venue with some good management. Won’t be back.

We attended at lunch time for a bite to eat. The food was really nice and quick to come out but one staff member was over eager to take away plates before you finished your meals. Before I had a chance to say anything they removed my son's plate while he was taking a little break. They came back and tried to take my partners while we were snacking on the left overs. And the door!!! Please please fix the squeak / grinding noise everytime it opened and closed... This place has so much potential

Wonderful mid week lunchtime meal and the service by the staff was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are in the area and wanting a great meal certainly give this place a try as you won't regret it.

After booking a place on the Gold Coast and extremely poor service and conditions only stayed one night. We booked here for the night and I highly recommend it, as soon as we arrived the staff were amazing from the administration to the kitchen staff, absolutely fantastic service. The rooms are amazing and clean. The food is excellent. Love the free soft drink with the children’s meals. I won’t be booking on the Gold Coast anymore, I will travel a bit further and definitely come back here. It is raining this weekend but on a fine day the view would be awesome. Thank you so much.

Disappointing! Looked at their website, all looked good and was open on Tuesday, so decided to have lunch there, only to find on arrival that kitchen was closed. We were told they had pies and soup and " plenty of beer"! Decided on soup which, when was eventually served was far from hot. Have since mentioned to management who decided not to acknowledge. Beware! Beautiful outlook food and service not recommended.

Didn't stay here but visited for lunch while on a ride. Being vegan, very limited menu. To be honest, the menu was pretty basic anyway. However, views of the Gold Coast are excellent.

Went to try the Lobster Monday for lunch. Had good reports from friends but was disappointed. My wife and I both had the Lobster but it was overcooked and dry. I got the feeling it had been either, made the day before or much earlier and reheated. Even with the sauce it was rather dry , and when i cracked the legs open, they were also dry and rubbery. Disappointed 😣. The view and staff were lovely.

Had lunch here, great views of Gold Coast City skyline, worth the trip on its own. We shared the ribs with Potato wedges and coleslaw and it was ample for 2 people, the ribs were very tender and tasty and sticky and the wedges were home made and a pleasant change from frozen one you get most places. Overall I recommend this place for the views and the ribs.

Called in for lunch. Steak sandwich had too many sauces that really made it taste like a variety of sauces. Steak was thick and cooked perfectly. Staff were good. Place was clean and tidy. Great view

Management could improve the capacity of this great pub with more kitchen staff. Was originally denied access on a Saturday at around 1pm as they said they were booked out with a function. Then said we could come in as long as we don't order food. There was plenty of room inside and out, so...... Anyway, I would like to return for a feed and maybe stay in the hotel.

  • 4/5 Sean B. 1 year ago on Google
Only used the bar, but service was quick and polite. Step outside to the beer garden.... Wow. Great view towards the Gold Coast, with lots of bushland between. By coincidence, 5 helicopters were parked there too and we watched 2 take off. Well worth the visit.

This place would benefit with different management. I had booked here to have an impromptu gathering over lunch after my son's elopement wedding at nearby botanic gardens, and at the time of booking I mentioned the nature of our gathering and that there was no expectation of the venue to provide anything extra or any formal setting. I also called again the morning of the wedding to ask if we could drop the cake off a few hours early to which I was told yes, that was fine. The woman manager calls me half an hour before the wedding ceremony to have a moan about my booking and that I hadn't notified the venue that my booking was a 'wedding reception'. I advised (again) that I had given information pertaining to my booking and had stated the nature of the gathering, specifically that it was a casual buy your own lunch for anyone that wanted to join, rather than everyone just going home straight after ..... far from any wedding reception. She kept going on about my booking and that I had not said it was a booking for a wedding reception, she knew nothing about it and then proceeds to say she recognised the staff's handwriting in the diary so was going to deal with the staff member. As a potential guest, I really don't want to know about your communication/management inadequacies, let alone how you are going to deal with your staff because you've made inaccurate assumptions. The whole conversation from her was an extremely poor example of customer service (the worst I've ever experienced, ever), and was full of attitude, lack of empathy, and just downright rude. Oh, and did I mention she actually called up the bride also as she was on the way to her wedding, with exactly the same conversation? Very lame. I have no intention of returning to this place with family, friends or work colleagues, which is a shame given there is a nice outlook, and the bar staff were polite and friendly. I only hope their boss woman doesn't treat them with the same contempt and disrespect as they did me. There are other places that provide a much better customer experience than this one.

I have loved this place since I was a teenager with my family and now my little and family and I enjoy it together too... Absolutely amazing relaxing spot with endless photo ops and more . Haven't tried the food yet but look forward to having dinner in the future, wondering if renovations will happen in the future???

What an experience! A friend and I went to Tambourine Mountain for the day and stopped in to the pub. I was blown away by the impeccable service and how nice everyone was. Not to mention the food was to die for! As a pescatarian, I finally had an array of options at a pub, which is super rare for me. I opted for scallops for the entree and the mornay lobster for the main. Both dishes were delicious!! All made better with an incredible view over the Good Coast. I would recommend this pub to everyone!

Went here today for lunch and it was fantastic. Well priced even with the surcharge and staff were amazing. The girl who took our order was great and the people who served our drinks. Thank you

Amazing views, rooms very clean and worth the price as we stayed in the spa themed room. , staff are very friendly , dinner was awesome and good priced. Only think I would say they need to improve is bigger robes for large people and the free breakfast is awful , we didnt eat much as it wasn't cold and not good, also we got our coffee after the breakfast was brought out and they where cold , The breakfast needs to be made fresh I feel and it would have been a perfect weekend. But all in all is a beautiful place to stay. Recommended to anyone who wants to relax and refresh.
