I'm not religious, but Shiraz food made me feel like I have died and woken up in heaven. Food there is heavenly!! One of the best meals I have had in my life and I have travelled a lot and enjoyed some beautiful meals. Their prawns just melt in mouth and I could eat them every single day for the rest of my life. Chicken was cooked to perfection. I don't even like lamb, but their lamb is amazing! The rice and dips - can't fault them neither! I did read some reviews before we decided to visit them tonight and few of them mentioned Shiraz being expensive - I don't agree with this at all! For the portion sizes they serve and the amazing taste experience - it's actually more than fairly priced. All the staff working tonight was very polite and friendly too. Please do yourself a favour and enjoy Shiraz at least once in your life. Highly recommend!

We're visiting the Goldy for work and a group of us went out for dinner. Food was delicious and super fresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was very busy. Definitely go back again

Pricey but totally worth the food and experience! Amazing food and drink options. Fantastic ambience and staff. Chicken was grilled to perfection, crispy and charred on the outside and super succulent in the inside. The Hummous is to die for, perfectly made with that beautiful hint of garlic. I would love to come here again.

We dined at Shiraz last week and the experience was amazing! We received great service and delicious food. It was my first time trying Persian food and I would love to go back again. I loved the special cinnamon tea at the end of the meal. It accompanied the desserts perfectly. Thank you Shiraz team for looking after us so well.

The place looks ok. Waiters and waitresses were great. The food was spiced differently, cooked well done. It didn’t taste as expected as it looked good. The pickles were not the best either. Their salad was good. Mirza dip was delicious though. I hope you will like it. It was overpriced for the food.

Great location, an easy walk from most apartments in Surfers Paradise. Terrific Persian style food, the Shiraz plate with lamb and chicken is worth trying. My favourite dishes are the slow cooked ones. The staff are professional and courteous. I suggest you try the Sekanjabin or Persian Gold; refreshing Iranian style drinks. Bookings required during summer. We will be coming back. Thank you!

We had a nice meal at this place today.The service is very warm and accommodating and food is beautiful. The Persian tea was fragrant and mellow. The friendly waitress suggested to hold the sugar at the tip of the tongue and sip the tea through the sugar as how the Persians used to do , which we did. Wow, the flavour of the tea is somehow more enhanced and more fragrant with this “ technique “ ! We will definitely be back to try other dishes when we are in GC again!

Always have been extremely pleased with our dining experience there. You can have the best charcoal grilled meat there. So yummy authentic Persian kabobs, good portions, lovely and lively atmosphere, good service. It gives you a true experience of a good authentic Persian restaurants, highly recommended. My honest review. This place is no longer the Shiraz restaurant; if you want the nice big platters they used to serve, you'll have to go to their new restaurant at the Mantra wings which we also tried and was still delicious. We thought we'd still give this bistro a go and I was truly disappointed. It says Souvlaki in the menu with a nice photo of a Greek Souvlaki wrap...well, expect shredded chicken like in the photo. When I asked the waitress about the obvious difference and the misleading photo, she said the photo was a mistake they will need to rectify. The chicken was truly not good. Soggy, bland, tasted old. I only ate a small bit and left most of it. I asked for one of the drinks in the fridge, they said they were old. How about throwing them out then?! Giving it 2 stars only because my partner liked the Adana and the Greek salad was okay. This place has evidently only maintained the Shiraz name, I will definitely not return.

We had dinner tonight at Shiraz Persian Restaurant....what a great place. The grilled lamb and chicken breast skewers are amazing. So tender and well marinated flavors. The rice is so fluffy and tasty. Good wine list. Great beers on tap. The staff are very good , helpful and very friendly. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. A very friendly and helpful Iranian man. Did his very best to accommodate our needs. Will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor, whether you are a local or here for a holiday like us, and you like Persian cuisine, give this place a go.

The quality of food is really good, but not when it’s served cold.. I enjoyed the appetizers more because it’s okay to have them cold. My experience with main dish didn’t meet the expectations. The service could be much better. The outdoor and indoor seating both really nice.

Had amazing birthday dinner and throughly enjoyed everything. Meat was very juicy and tender. Veggies were yummy too. The live music added to the ambiance and the musician was friendly. Service was great. Even our picky toddler ate more than his fair share of meat and salad. The best Persian we've had 😀

We traveled to Gold Coast during Christmas day, and we ate at this restaurant on 26 DEC. It's an amazing restaurant, amazing food and drink, good interior design and nice services. What the most attracting food is the BBQ, all kinds of meat were got a nice cook, they all tasted crispy and juicy, and looks nice. Also sauces are good, they came with meat and did a good job on different tastes. The price is quite expensive, and also they have 15% service surchange for public holiday serving, but they deserved. Over all, if you guys go Gold Coast, you can have a try.

Great service and food. We often have Persian food at home, so it was nice to eat at a restaurant with good food quality and variety of dishes. We ordered Persian Feast Banquet ($79 per person , min 4 ppl) , Ash & Jo soup - everything was delicious. Ash and Persian tea were the highlights of my dinner. Service was great. Just delicious meat!! Had two chicken skewers and the lamb shank and flawless for what we wanted tonight. I really feel for these guys, staff is very hard enough to find at the moment and covid is causing havoc with many out of action, so be patient and enjoy the yummy food!!

We came to Gold Coast and heard a lot about Shiraz so thought of given a try. Honestly we loved it and came here twice. The food was simply outstanding! Each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The kebabs were tender and succulent, and the saffron rice was a delight. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Followed the reviews and was amazed by the results. Delicious food, we had a banquet and could not finish any of the plates, having only breakfast that day we were very hungry which didn't help as the portions are super generous. All other quests were leaving with bags to finish at home. Happy to have yummy leftovers for lunch today. Family friendly with lots of seating inside and out I would maybe suggest some entertainment on weekends as we usually experience in Persian restaurants. Even without that we would be back again,

Second time in - and the quality of food and service is still amazing! All staff were lovely and accommodating to swap rice to pita. Tried the baklava with tea and it was the cherry on top! We ordered the Meatarian (good for 2) and the Shiraz platter. Our party of 3 didnt need entrees as these two platters filled us up!

Nice place for a greek meal. Lots of seating, inside and outside. Outside seating exposed to the main thoroughfare and tram line… but it’s not that bad. Nice to see the locals and visitors walking by. Service was great. Very pleasant waitress. I had the lamb and chicken souvlaki Comes with a Greek salad (or you can choose an alternative). My lamb was a bit in the dry side, but the white sauce that came with it, made up for it . Delicious meal.

I was really looking forward to eating from here, but unfortunately it was quite a poor experience. Ordered takeaway for lunch from an unfriendly lady, it took 50mins despite only one other customer in the restaurant and 4 staff. The food was way over priced for what was served, the greek salad was made at least the day before if not longer. The servings were small and the meat was dry despite being cooked to order. I love this type of food but I won't ever be back

Great tasty food and big portion. The service is nice but can be improved, we came, sat and waited for long until being served and when asked to have advices on wine, the server recommended house wine but she doesn't know where it comes from when we asked. The tables and chairs are basic, not too comfy, setup and ambiance are average.

So good! The foods were so delicious and I think we have never tasted such great Persian dishes in Australia better than here, before. Good kebabs with Saffron rice, tasty Kashk-o-bademjoon with fresh bread, delicious Shirazi salad and amazing drinks that took our minds to Shiraz City and the smell of blossom there. Simple to find.Parking is easy. Staff are awesome. Setting is comfortable, friendly, relaxed. But the food!!!! Sensational! My husband & I have been a number of times. Then we took different friends at times. Then we took our three sons. We are huge fans.

I’ve never been so amazed by food the way this restaurant amazed me. This place is pure heaven in mouth and it might sound a bit over the top but I nearly cried because the food was that good. Absolutely incredible food and it goes to show with how popular it is. Stayed nearby the restaurant for a few nights and it was full every single time. If you have one night in Gold Coast, just one, then go here you won’t regret it.

My partner and I ate here last night. We shared the Soltan Platter and a side of Mast-o-Khiar dip (the quantity was huge, this was more than enough food for us, and we're pretty big eaters). Just before the food came out the waitress told us they ran out of the flake fish (1 of the 3 skewer option on the platter). The owner (i think) told us he would replace the fish with a free prawns upgrade instead. I thought that was really kind. They seem to care about their customers a lot. BUT THATS NOT EVEN THE BEST PART! The food is out of this world incredible. Half way through our meal we were already pre-planning our next visit. We can't wait to try the slow cooked and veggie options. And I'm dying to try all the fun drinks like the Persian Blossom. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Do your taste buds a favor and eat here. Thanks again for the wonderful evening Shiraz! See you next time!

This is a family favourite and we've been at this restaurant lots of times. The food is always fresh and vibrant; very authentic Persian food. The serving sizes are generous. The atmosphere is fantastic, great space for family get togethers. The owner and the staff are incredibly hospitable and friendly. Will keep coming back.

Amazing food.

We came to Gold Coast to rest and enjoy the Gold Coast attractions but didn’t expect to find the best taste of Iranian food here. It took me back to my best memories back in Iran 😊 Lovely food, very nice staff, beautiful environment and good location Can’t wait to try other dishes in the menus highly recommended.

Shiraz is one of the best restaurant in gold coast. The staff are always very friendly. Everytime we visit shiraz they exceeds our expectations. Despite being busy, the food arrived very quickly, we ordered the 6 platters but the cooking of the chicken was bit inconsistent (some pieces were burned and others were little bit uncooked) and the lamb was a bit raw. However, I won’t hesitate to give them 5 stars as they totally deserve it.

The only topic of conversation over the whole dinner revolved around how good the good was. I used to be an American BBQ guy, I'm now a Persian BBQ guy. Dont make the mistake if overlooking this place.

Great halal place to dine. It was so hot outside when we came that we went inside but the aircon could not cool us.. Took a while to get settled before we were cool again. (No fault to them) Food is absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. We ordered several items and all were top notch. They also have a great selection of Mocktails which are great for the heat. The servers were quite busy but did not take long to come to us. Overall enjoyed the food and company.. Will definitely recommend to others and come back.. Just not when it is so very hot outside :) Try the Maahi Kebob. It is very good.

An authentic taste of the eastern cuisine. The kebab is served medium well with an exceptional juicy taste. Prices are fair for the meal size of an average person. The restaurant was really busy with waiting lists, yet the staff were so friendly and served with a smile. Truly a 5 stars restaurant.

Enjoyed the food a lot, we tried 3 different platters and they were great. It is a bit pricey but it is a touristic area and you should expect that. Love the eggplant dip so much(must try).

Now, this is the best Restaurant in town. Staff has an excellent customers service skills they are professional and all has a smiley face. Delicious food with a big portion that was more than enough for a big guy! The smell of the tea was very authentic and it took me to the Old town of Persia... pretty sure it won’t be the last time here.

The food came very quickly despite how busy it was, and everything was so delicious!! The prices are super reasonable, especially for Surfers. Ignore the touristy places, this is the real deal. Not to be missed, and if you have to wait, trust me it's worth it!

Our recent visit was just after Christmas. We have been several times before and enjoyed the food, but the new owners have taken this to a different level. Excellent food and service with large portions. If you like middle eastern food its a must visit and if you are like us consider sharing between two and you will probably find that you have enough food. My wife loves the kofta and insists we visit every time we go to the gold coast. Reasonably priced, good quality, highly recommended.

Very busy restaurant. Very popular judging by the tables being emptied and refilled quickly. The food was delicious. Order a dish with two kebabs. Meals are generous, could only eat one kebab as well as the salad. Didn't even touch the rice, just couldn't fit it in. Took the rest home. Had a side salad which was chopped tomato and cucumber. Don't know what the dressing was but it was delicious. Was like spices in Olive Oil. We came here as we had a Good Food gift voucher for $100. Other restaurant options but choose this. Two meals, ss, mineral water and two drinks saw it come in above this. A two kebab meal is $38 to $40+ but if you're not a big eater, one kebab will do. There is parking under the restaurant with every from Fern St. You enter on the right hand side....like the USA ....weird, but follow the arrows. I would certainly eat here again but only order 1 kebab.

Giant Kabob Portions! We were looking for a late dinner and on our way back from Pacific Fair Mall, we saw Shiraz Restaurant. We sat Al Fresco where we were greeted & seated immediately. Food was served within 15 minutes! The appetizer - roasted eggplant Kashk E Badenjan was scrumptious! Couldn’t get enough of it but after 1.5 pieces of the turkish bread, I was already getting full. Then came the chips which was really good - surprisingly! When the mains came out, I think all our jaws dropped! The plates we half the size of the table. I reckon 2 people can eat 1 kabob meal! My teenager ordered the 2 skewers but it ended up being way too much for him. Overall we had a great experience! Really enjoyed the food & was happy we passed by this place! Order the chips & the Kashk - you won’t regret it!

Quite enjoyed our meals, but I don't think the menu is for everyone. We really liked the Fried Baby Barramundi, it was so crispy we could eat the whole lot. The picture tells the story. 😄

Sitting inside and outside.  We choosed to sit outside under gas heater. Delicious foods, and staff where very accommodating. The orange almond cake was the perfect finish. Several staff was serving and making sure we are OK but we can't not to mention Julian. He was trying to accommodate all our needs. Thank you.

Torsh kabob is a must try. Was so delicious and just melted in my mouth. Portions are very generous. It was very busy, yet the service was very quick. The yogurt drink, (dough) could have been a bit more sour and the marinated olives and chicken kebab could have been tastier. But still super delicious. Enjoyed very much. Highly recommend.

Many people keep telling me how good this restaurant is so my family and I decided to visit this place today for lunch. We order 4 dishes as we are family of 4 waiting about 15-20mins for foods when it came out only 3 dishes came out so I wait and wait for my dish to come but no. Waiting for about 10mins while everyone else having their meal I decided to walk up and ask and they said they only got 3 orders!! The wait turn me off and I just don't want to wait another 15mins for my dish to come out. We also order 1 drink but the drink didn't come until we are finished our meals and about to leave the restaurant. Bad services and waited long time for everything to come. Bad experience here and won't be going back.

There are lots of varieties of kebabs, that's for sure, we had a kebab platter with 4 different kebabs and 3 types of rice. The platter was good, however, i was expecting variety in the kebab taste as well and was disappointed. Taste wise all were similar, not much difference between lamb ones vs beef ones, the fish kebab was amazing though.

This place is usually very good, however today the sauce on the salad was supposed to be home made mayonnaise. I think they must of forgotten to put the vinegar in the mix when they made it. I should of complained whilst eating, but told the girl afterwards that the sauce did not taste right and was horrible not like your usual meals. She was either not bothered or did not understand. I will not be going back.

Shiraz serves good Persian food with a relaxed vibe. The trio of dips the perfect intro to the heavy aromatic mains. The decor is a little eclectic but pretty. Mains portions were generous and the staff very helpful and attentive.

We enjoyed dining here. Taste and quality was on point.

We have been here a couple of times and it has always been very busy with a vibrant atmosphere. The dishes are very delicious. Unfortunately, due to very busy nature of the restaurant - which is understandable based on their delicious meals - unfortunately, the service can sometimes be compromised. For example, tables are placed quite close to each other, so you can barely move back with your chair. Also, some items can be forgotten to be served - although, the restaurant has been friendly to offer the missing items free of charge on the house later on. The staff are very friendly and forthcoming. I guess for such level of popularity, this restaurant needs to expand to have more space for the number of guests they usually serve. ☺️

service was a bit slow, had to ask for water a few times a collect our own menus. the dups and bread were pretty ordinary. mains were good but a bit rich..

Ordered mixed souvlaki with pita bread, kings hot dog, chicken with rice. Taste good!

Reviewing this restaurant is difficult but I can first try without comparing it obviously to the restaurant that was there prior. The menu is relatively limited but makes up with it for different options of meat and sides. The menu has more traditional options and a Persian take on popular fast foods which is perhaps a good idea as it's prime position in Surfers may appeal more to the casual customers. The prices were maybe slightly inflated but the flavour was very nice with great spices and I did enjoy my meal. The customer service was good and wait times were reasonable. They don't serve alcohol which is a drawback at this location. Now the change of restaurant. The elephant in the room showed itself quite quickly. When we sat down at a table, one of the families that usually occupy the large tables outside the restaurant also arrived but upon seeing the menu and that the restaurant had in fact changed, they promptly stood up and left. The restaurant that is usually stuffed to the brim with people was near empty on NYE (and we only went there as everywhere else was fully booked) and it was clear that the message of it's location change was news to most and that it wasn't being very well received. On one hand, understanding that the beloved restaurant had moved and one with the same name had replaced it as a small chain version is hard to accept but is not an unreasonable idea. On the other, why they would trade up a prime position in Surfers to put in a substandard version of the original restaurant is beyond me. I would have liked it if this was the same restaurant but maybe downsized? If that was the issue? I don't really want to walk 15minutes south to the butt end of Surfers Paradise to the new location but I probably will for that delicious food I know they make. Dead honest, this new restaurant is nice, they have the right idea, but it's not as good as it's predecessor and I cannot experience this restaurant without thinking of the other.

Had a late lunch of seafood basket. Omg was delicious. French fries cooked to perfection nice and crispy. As was the battered seafood. The lady serving us was very friendly. 10/10

Quick service and reasonable priced for Surfs Paradise area.

Love love love the food here. We were a group of 9 girls and we tried almost all the kebabs. Their saffron rice is so good and their dips are v flavourful. Must try on the gold coast.

As a local I have supported this business through it's busy times and it's quiet times. Now it's quiet time they start to cut back on their meal inclusions, are used to always get salad and dressing with my meals but they no longer give that but still charge the same price even though the menu photo shows the dish comes with salad. It's a little thing but it's a big thing when you don't get the value you pay for.

Excellent meal and great service. Would highly recommend slow-cooked lamb shank with saffron rice and Shiraz grill platter. Also, very good olives with pomegranate sause as a starter. The food was fresh, great quality, made with passion. Kitchen is clean and well operated. Service is quite fast with less than 10 min wait from the order to dishes served.

These guys are super friendly and really appreciate you being there, the service was impressive and the food was absolutely delicious. We were seated outside which was pleasant, unfortunately you cannot see the natural colours our food because of the blue lights in this area. Overall great evening.

This was a hidden gem that we found near our hotel on the Gold Coast. We decided to try Persian food for the first time and we had a great experience at this restaurant. We have the meatetarian which had juicy tender kebobs and a very yummy marinated lamb. We also had several of their desserts and the highlight here goes to their pistachio ice cream. Definitely worth trying. Another highlight worth mentioning is the huge list of mocktails which are reasonably priced too. My wife had one and it was absolutely delicious.

Persian food of the highest quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is well lit, clean and comfortable. The menu is extensive with a wide range of Persian delicacies available. Well presented, fresh and extremely delicious, a meal here will leave you wanting more and also with a desire to come back again. 10 out of 10

Had a great lunch here! Was my first time trying Persian food and it couldn't go any better. The place is very clean, the service was great and the food was amazing!!!! I really appreciated how the waiter took some time to explain us every single dish we chose, well done there! Next time when we come to Goldie we'll definitely stop by to have some delicious Persian food. Thank you so much guys, again the food and service were amazing!!! 👍

Our first Persian experience. We ordered the meeze platter and fesenjan for share. Good portion for two and good service. We really liked the dip mirza ghasemi (soft roasted eggplant with tomatoes and garlic) in the platter.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shiraz Persian restaurant in GC , and it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and authentic, with beautiful decor and soft lighting. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made me feel welcome and comfortable. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The Ash Reshte (Soup) was a highlight, delicious and tasty. The Zeytoon Parvarde (Marinated Olives) is a must to try as a side dish with your food. The main dishes were even better, Torsh Kebab was perfectly cooked Saffron rice that was fragrant and full of spices. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. There were heaps of vegetarian options which was amazing. I alas tried the Vegan Ghorme Sabzi (herbs stew with beans) which was tasty. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine. The food is exceptional, the service is outstanding, and the ambiance is perfect for a special night out or a dinner with friends. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant! And well done to the owner and the crew.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The staff and the owner are so nice and professional. This is my mum's favourite restaurant ever so definitely coming back.

Shiraz Persian Restaurant is an absolute gem! If you’re a fan of authentic Persian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Their menu is a delightful journey through Persian flavours, with a wide range of kebabs and meat options, alongside the mouthwatering vegetarian dish like Mirza Ghasemi. What’s more, they have an impressive bar selection and a variety of wine options that pair perfectly with their dishes. But the real star here is the Fesenjan – a divine stew featuring chicken, pomegranate paste, and ground walnuts that delivers an exquisite sweet and sour taste. Served with rice, it’s a flavor explosion. Last but not least is their polite and respectful service. I highly recommend Shiraz!

An awesome meal and the team are a step above many places I've been to recently. The staff were friendly and helpful. We tried a variety of dishes and can honestly say you'll be safe picking random dishes or asking the team. We requested for the lamb to be well done, and our cutlets were perfect. They were full of flavour and tender, and there was NO extra blood pooling on the plate (as we had elsewhere). My photo of the beautifully grilled meat isn't the greatest, but there are plenty of others on Google to drool over before booking in. Now my mouth is watering... It's a good thing they were happy to provide takeaway containers for the excess food we ordered.

I had an incredible dining experience at Shiraz, the Persian restaurant in Brisbane. The food was truly amazing, and the kebabs were a standout. My partner and I came for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. Place was relatively busy, but staff were very attentive considering. We received a free platter for spending over $100, which was easy to do as we got a few cocktails and shared a large main dish. The drinks took a little while to come out, but we assumed the bartender may be new and staff also took a few photos of our drinks before bringing them over which was fine. Food was extremely tasty, servings were generous and priced appropriately. The waitress did not disclose to us that sparkling water was an additional cost and we wished that some side bread also came with the main meal. Not a huge deal, but something to think about. Overall good experience and would definitely come back on our next trip to GC!

Such delicious food and extremely large serving sizes!! We could have easily shared the ‘standard’ size meal with its very generous portions of meat, delicious rice and side condiments. The service was good and all staff were welcoming. Decor and ambience was smart, casual and very relaxing. Prices were very good especially considering quantity and quality of food provided. I would definitely recommend and we will return as I really want to try the delicious desserts (but just couldn’t fit it in this time around!)

The food was full of flavor. The atmosphere was very nice, lovely decor as well. The service was wonderful, patient, and had great suggestions. Julian was our server and he was so friendly. The Persian tea with saffron sugar, unique and delicious. The Persian orange cake was especially delicious, and the perfect texture. Highly recommend!
