Really cute cafe, solid breakfast and espresso coffee. - Big Breakfast - Vegetarian Big Breakfast The breakfast quality was so good, the scrambled egg was the highlight with a cheeky little bit of chilli jam. Also the fried eggplant too was another highlight on the vegetarian big breakfast. Staff were super friendly, and helpful. Definitely entered the clean plate club and we will be back next time. Cafe Alfons was a great find. We did have to wait as it was a busy Sunday morning but not for too long. Great menu. Our breakfast was amazing and very filling so was the smoothly. Great staff who knew what they were doing. Highly recommend.

Had breakfast with a regular. Parking outside at 9am. The food was quite different, good different and generous. Wasn't overly expensive for what was ordered. Coffee good. Service was impeccable. They were so good about splitting two meals into 3 bills. I would definitely go back often.

Overpriced breakfast - cheaper and higher quality options exist at 'The Lean Chef' in Chevron. No menus on tables or out front, Waited 15 mins to be seen, upon assessing my appearance (tattoos and in a basketball singlet) was refused service with the excuse of "no shoes". This establishments patrons seem to indicate they only serve the white, elderly and privileged. If you don't meet their demographic - then don't bother.

My wife and I visited this corner coffee shop on Chevron Island and advised the staff member Sarah, that we simply wanted coffee. Sarah was fine with that and the coffees arrived very quickly. Sarah had already brought out cold water and glasses - a service sadly lacking at many similar places - and to receive our coffee so quickly was indeed very professional. I like watching staff wait on tables while I am enjoying my coffee. Watching their style, enthusiasm and especially their warmth and positive personality. Sarah has all of these traits and more. She was thorough on cleaning up after sloppy customers had gone and even wiped each chair, whether it was used or not. I cannot fault Sarah’s professionalism at all. Management is to be congratulated for selecting Sarah as their employer and FOH representative. Oh, and the coffee was bloody good too! 👍😎☕️☕️ Graham and Sandra. Hervey Bay QLD

This Cafe, on Chevron Island was very nice. I stopped in at 06:30 on a Sunday Morning for a hot chocolate and carrot cake. The hot chocolate was nice and hot, as most cafe's tend to make the hot chocolate just warm which is not as enjoyable as when it is hot! The carrot cake was yummy too! If you are passing through don't forget to take a break, and enjoy your day by stopping at cafe Alfons on Chevron Island.

Was a lovely place to have breakfast, the staff were awesome and looked after you and the service was really quick. We had the big breakfast which was yummy and the fresh juice was great. Would highly recommend this place and i will be coming here again.

Made a breakfast booking specifically for the açai bowl, but unfortunately they ran out. Had banana bread instead, which was nice as it didn’t come with the standard butter. It had a side of cinnamon butter. The b.l.a.t was enjoyed, as were the scrambled eggs. Coffee was good too.

This place is stupid good. Excellent food quality and great attention for allergens. Fresh baked bread, fresh battered chicken make it great for us. Our açaí bowl was a mere 10 out of 10. We loved our brunch at Cafe Alfons this morning. The menu has lots of options with small twists on traditional favourites. While very busy, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, plentiful and good value! To top it off we had strong Adore coffee.

Discovered this popular locals cafe entirely by accident. Had a spare 30 mins between deliveries so popped in for brekky. So glad I did. Service was quick, polite and efficient. Prices are very reasonable considering location and the food ? Wow ! Just awesome. Today (as pictured) I had the eggs benny with bacon and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was smooth, velvety and creamy, just devine. My eggs benny were great as usual. My favourite though has to be the corn fritters with chilli jam 🤩 Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was an experience to remember. If you're looking for a unique and charming cafe, look no further. Just look out for the big red umbrella that marks the entrance to Cafe Alfons on the eastern side of Chevron Island. We were thrilled to find that the meals at Cafe Alfons were of the highest quality. We ordered a range of 2 dishes + coffee and everything was delicious. What made our experience all the more enjoyable was the decent table service we received. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always had a smile on their face. We felt welcomed and appreciated as customers, and it really added to the overall experience. It's no surprise to learn that Cafe Alfons has been awarded one of the best cafes by TripAdvisor for many years. It's a testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff who have created an exceptional dining experience.

My goodness, where to start? First - I've never felt so welcome before. Greeted with big smiles and cheerful conversation, I immediately considered moving to QLD just so I could visit every morning. Second - the coffee is properly good to go. Expertly constructed by someone I can only assume was trained by the devil himself. Coffee has no business tasting this good. Third - the food. If I could do one thing before I go, it would be to taste everything on the menu. Verdict - of all the things you can do on the Gold Coast, visiting Cafe Alfons is a must. I'd give them 12 stars, but Google clearly doesn't think that would be fair to other cafes and restaurants.

Great feed. Nice as staff. Coffee pretty good. Meal sizes adequate. Extras are a bit pricey but all and all a good experience. Staff are very fit active looking with compliments thier customer service. Suitable for a family ( our youngest is 7 so not sure about high chairs and that but hey it's a cafe bring a pram just in. Great little cafe in Surfers! Staff were all very friendly, polite and regularly checked in to make sure everything was okay. The cakes and slices are excellent - they make these items themselves instead of ordering in as so many cafes seem to do. The end result is a range with proper flavours and textures, probably the best I've had anywhere in QLD. We had the Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Coconut and Fig slices, all of which I would recommend. Lemon Coconut was my personal favourite. Based on the service level and standard of food today I give this place 5 stars. I do not give this rating often as by my own admission I am difficult to please, and usually service standards in Gold Coast/Brisbane are chronically low. So if you're in the area, it's worth paying these guys a visit!

The staff are amazing, always happy to help and Sharny especially is fantastic - remembers names, preferred orders and is always upbeat and friendly (as they all are). They have some amazing specials and new dishes regularly!

Wow found this place after reading all the reviews. And it didn’t disappoint. We ordered corn fritter and toasties. Corn fritters feel like this hidden corners of discovering each item - the chilli jam, avo, bacon and eggs was just amazing and the toastie is fully loaded and yum as well. The staff is lovely and what would be a cafe without a good coffee. Alfons scores amazing on all aspects

We used this Cafe fir takeaways and it was fabulous. We had meals preordained for hiking. Our museli bars and sandwiches were a gift light. Will be using again. Thank you

The best breakfast I've had in a long time

This place has some great reviews online so we gave it a go. I had the corn fritters which were fresh, full of flavour and a good portion; actually some of the best I've tasted. My partner have the mushrooms and they were tasty, fresh and again a good portion. Coffee was strong, hot and tasty. The staff were very responsive, friendly and professional. The location was a bit busy being close to a main road but th food and service made that no issue. I'd definitely return again!

This place is very close to my hotel. We originally planned to casually come over for some breakfast, but it turned out to be so delicious. The service is excellent, and the food is incredibly tasty. You can't go wrong with any dish. We've been having breakfast here for three consecutive days. It's a pity that we're leaving for Sydney today. I wanted to try more food. Next time I come to the Gold Coast, I'll definitely bring friends here for breakfast. Many thanks to the staff; everyone's attitude is exceptional.

I'm never the one to write reviews but this place is amazing, the food was perfect, wait time was extremely minimal (even with a full house) the service was brilliant, the blonde lady with the cool accent was absolutely lovely, price was very fair and food was very high quality, highly recommend the build your own omelet havent had one that nice in years! it's a shame my fiance and i arent from here as we would come all the time !
