Pretty disappointed. For the price you pay, very average. We did get take away, so maybe that affected the taste of the pasta some how? (5 min walk from the hotel). We had the Linguine pesto, so so bland, the only flavour was the tomato’s unfortunately. We also got meat lovers pizza, for $27…I doubt we will be back.

Pizza was great, got the proscuitto as recommended! But the spaghetti meatball was a little dry. Service was good, would go back again for the pizza, and not so much the pasta. Also, they have parking just around the back if you are driving there.

Flaming cheese wheel pasta anyone? Took my sister-in-law for her birthday. The food was a bit slow coming out but the drinks were flowing, staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was lively. Loved the lemoncello cocktail we had. Truffle spaghetti was amazing and we also tried the mushroom and truffle pizza. I'm definitely going to be taking other friends and family here. Great to try something new and I absolutely loved the authentic down to earth vibe.

THE BEST PASTA OF OUR LIVES. My partner & I came here for our engagement dinner and by far it is the best pasta of our lives. I finally lived out my lifelong dream of enjoying a flaming cheese wheel and had the best customer service to match! Thank you again for a beautiful meal and an even better experience. We went for their Monday night deal- you pay $25 pp with any drink purchase and get to eat how many pizzas you can. Would love to try their Cheese Wheel Pasta Wednesday next time!

Food was great, really tasty. Service was also fab. This is a really family friendly joint, which has a great selection of menu items for even the fussiest of kids. We got the burrata starter which was super yum. The cheese wheel menu is literally that, they'll come and cook your pasta sauce in a big wheel of cheese at your table. Worth the extra dollars!

We have all those foodies coming from the southern states bragging how bad is Surfers Paradise with food. In many ways can be true; but there are little gems like SALT MEATS & CHEESE where genuine true simple italian 🇮🇹 cuisine is served with a smile. Beautiful; if that is what you are looking for for your next “informal romantic rendezvous” or you family night. This is the place! Pizza with Nutella at the end? Mamma Mia! Bravi

I came here for Valentine’s Day and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing and staff so attentive and friendly. I got the best spicy margarita I’ve ever had in my whole life. Food was generous and perfect. Thanks again !!!! X

Pretty average restaurant with above average prices. Their pizza was nice but a little soggy with the crust a little lacking. The pasta was nice. The entrees were good but the caprese salad was too wet. The dessert was definitely a unique and delicious experience but be warned their dessert portions are really generous. The staff was friendly and the seating area was nice.

Visited Salt Meats Cheese to use our @livenpay Foodollars. Was a bit annoyed when the resto couldn’t put our Liven payment through, but after 30 minutes of distressed we managed to pay lol. ❤️: If you’re looking for Italian food you can’t go wrong with, go for a pizza of your choice. I personally love calzones, so we got one and we devoured it. Loved the amount of cheese inside! The Crispy Prosciutto Salad was also delicious—there was so much prosciutto I’m not even kidding, it was like eating prosciutto with a side of salad 😂.

Italian joints situated in what seems to be a food court. We came for dinner service and this is the only shop that's open in the food court. The kids pasta tasted like ketchup and the antipasto was pretty average although generous in portion. The pizza was pretty good as it was thin and the dough was soft. Food - 7 Service - 7 Vibe - 6 Price - $$

I almost never write reviews, but after recently discovering this place, I really need to mention it as the absolute best on the Coast. Having lived in Italy for thirty-five years and in Australia for the next twenty, I can honestly say that the pizza at Salt Meats Cheese ranks in my top 3. The extended menu has great variety, and themed nights complement their offering. To top all that, you will find a nice atmosphere, plenty of friendly and efficient staff, and special mention to Alessandro, who is a real stand-out. Seriously, 5 stars are probably an understatement.

I came here for my Birthday with my family and we had such a great time. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic. Everything was very authentically Italian. The pesto prawn pasta was awesome. Proscuitto pizza was perfect. The Italian red wine (Farnese Sangiovese) was beautiful… The nutella donuts were… what can I say… 🤤 The olives and salad however were too salty for our liking. Thanks for making a great time for our family.

Casual Italian restaurant. Every meal we ordered was good, but more than foods, staff people are so kind and nice to talk with. Food amount is more than enough and taste good :) I packed left over food and had them next day.

Since finding SMC over a year ago we keep making this place a stop on our trips up to the Gold Coast. We love their pizza and pasta, and while the wine list is small, it pairs well with the food so no complaints there. Fantastic service every time we go there - cannot wait to eat here again on our next trip up. We have eaten in every other time we’ve been up, but got take away this time. It travelled well the short distance to the apartment. Thanks heaps for the delicious food!

This was a takeaway order so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere. The Arancini balls were good, but the majority of the flavour came from the dipping sauce, and they could’ve been more moist. The rigatoni bolognese was 2/5. Barely any sauce and the sauce that was there wasn’t very flavourful either. Not worth the price.

Nice and friendly staffs. They brought wrong food at our table, but all sorted. We ordered Crispy Proscuitto Salad, my favorite for the night! Boyfriend craving for pizza, so he went with Portuguese Pizza, the one with prawns, zucchinis and chorizo. Yum! We finished with Tiramisu, been a long time since I ate a good one :)

Went there last night with my partner and we had a really good experience. Friendly and kind staff, always smiling and polite. The food was tasty (we had the pesto linguine and truffle gnocchi) and we liked that they have several vegetarian options. Will definitely be back 😊

I ate at Salt Meats Cheese many times. I usually eat pizza which is outstanding...Buffalo and Regina are my favourites! Last time I tried the pasta...spaghetti carbonara and pappardelle with truffles. Both excellent! Finally I couldn't miss their fantastic tiramisù 😋 I felt at home, like in Italy!

This beautiful place is a must visit every time I visit surfers paradise. Best pizza I’ve ever had! I really need to try the pastas but maybe next time. Awesome staff and service. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Spanish waitress. Best Pizza on the Goldie. Only dine in if super super hungry. The all you can eat Pizza 🍕 is a great deal. The Spanish lady worked tirelessly and is learning to surf, embracing the Australian lifestyle. Strongly recommend!

4⭐️It's my first visit for dinner 😋 We had Calzone for $27, Meat Lovers for $29 and Cheese wheel truffle for $30. Fun to watch their performance of serving the cheese wheel pasta🥳 The very thick, creamy and truffle flavour sauce was nice🤩 but just a little bit hard to eat 😅 pasta was stick together... The pizza was nice too. I liked their pizza base😉👍🏻 Lots of meat on it🤩 which was good but a little bit salty for me😂 I’d love to different dishes next time🍝🍕

Consistent food quality of pizzas, love the gluten free base so much! I hope that in the future can be totally isolated from gluten in the kitchen. Staff are mostly friendly bubbly and professional except for one instance where we got a mean waitress …. Pastas are okay but not amazing like the pizzas. Love this place. Highly recommended if you’re in the gold coast and in the mood for a very delicious wood fire pizza 🤤

When looking for somewhere that did gluten free other reviews lead us here! We had some Gluten-Free aranichi balls, a caprese plate to share as well as a gluten free meat lovers pizza! Amazing value for money and the best gluten free pizza I have ever had! My friend who came with me isn't gluten free and said the pizza didn't taste Gluten-Free. Every thing was fresh and full of flavour! Will be back next time I'm at Gold Coast

The food is insanely good. I'm very picky with pizza, but these took top pick even over the best of the best NYC pizza. The dough is chewy and light and smokey and the meats and cheese are as the name suggests, salty. The drinks are very refreshing and the service is delightful - not too hard or too soft. If only I lived closer to come regularly!

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The pizza was particularly noteworthy, featuring classic Neapolitan pizza bubbles and a great texture. The flavor of the pizza was spot on as well. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Went in with some doubt in our minds as this was our first time trying the restaurant and after a long travel from Sydney wife and I craved some Italian food. The food was to die for, the taste was authentic and not bad on your wallet as well. Throughly enjoyed the superb service and the quality of the dishes. Will recommend trying this for sure. ☺️

Another favorite Italian restaurant in Surfers Paradise. Wednesday night is the flaming cheese wheel and you simply can’t miss this one. $25!!! Creamy decadent pasta served from a giant Parmesan cheese wheel. Nom! And order the calzone Italiano which is jammed with ham, cheese and salami and is enormous. The good news is that it reheats really well the next day, but high five if you can finish this on your own.

The 4 cheese pasta tasted like microwaved Parmesan. When we asked the chef, he said it only has Parmesan and Gorgonzola. Not sure if that’s what a 4 cheese pasta is like at this restaurant but most restaurants tend to use FOUR different cheeses.

I’ve been there with some Italian friends and the pizza was amazing! Very good and digestible dough. We tried the truffle and mushrooms pizza and the one with prosciutto, rocket and parmigiano. Really recommended!! And also the Italian ladies team are fantastic and so authentic!
