So happy to find a new place for breakfast. Absolutely beautiful and delicious. The staff are amazing, soy latte is one of the best on GC. Normally I am not a big fan of sweet breakfast (Canadian BF) but it's like a party in my mouth 😂 Loved it! and I'm sure that if I try every each breakfast on the menu I won't be disappointed.

What a Great Find !! Fabulous Cafe / Restaurant Located off Gooding Drive. Where the BP is, Next to Merrimac Tavern. The Service was Prompt, Friendly and Efficient. Had the Salmon Eggs Benedict & a Freshly Made Fruit Juice. Both Were Very Good. Pretty Confident I’ve Found My New Weekend Breakfast / Brunch Spot.

So happy that we find a perfect place for coffee and breaky!! Love the crispy enoki mushrooms and coffee is nice and hot. Great food, nice people, I think we ll be regulars!

Great place to have breakfast, the food was delicious and visually appealing and was well accompanied by great tasting coffee. We bought our medium sized dog along, the lady working there kindly offered if our dog would like a water bowl which goes to show they understand good customer service. We will definitely be returning and this may just be our new Sunday walk coffee shop spot

This is a lovely cafe with attractive styling. We were greeted with a warm smile by the friendly staff/owners(?) and had a perfect almond croissant, an exceptional dirty chai and cappuccino too. We will definitely be back! ^_^

Amazing little cafe hidden away from the main road, food service is high quality and good serving sizes. The drinks menu is very well suited to the menu, with some extra delights. Location is great as its far enough away from the main road, very quiet with a large garden adjacent for a peaceful setting. Staff were friendly and helpful, I'll be coming back for sure!

Eggs Benedict is definitely their signature dish. Staff were compliant to my requests for a 70 degree cappuccino and our experience was overall great satisfaction. Great to see such great service and lovely food in a quiet area of MERRIMAC.

OMG, how did I not know this place existed! Spur of the moment, and we found a hidden gem. This was the best benny in ages. The eggs were just right. Try the chicken schnitzel benny it was brilliant. The service was exceptional and oat milk coffee the best we have tasted. All around, this place is an awesome stop.

The best eggs benny I had on the Gold Coast during my stay! I couldn’t recommend this place more! The coffee was sweet, rich and overall delightful. Very affordable options and the food was so fresh that I cannot stop thinking about it. I will be back!

We had 20 people for a father's day brunch. The service was great, food amazing. Would recommend Counter Eatery highly. Just perfect for a group catch-up. Reasonably priced you won't be disappointed.

I had guava juice with mint (delicious) scrambled eggs avocado baked beans and a hazelnut latte. The service was so fast and the food fresh plentiful and yummy. I’m super fussy and I loved this place. Will definitely eat here again

Used to go all the time for breakfast and was good the staff were always lovely but recently had lunch and food was bland, poor quality, overpriced for what you actually get and made my partner and I both sick. Tried a cake from window because was so unsatisfied from lunch and it was so dry and sickly sweet I had to throw it away. Won’t be back.

Myself and 2 friends came along for brunch and coffee. Well what a great place, food couldn't fault. Coffee was smooth and at right temp, perfect. Sitting on the verandah with a light breeze on a Friday morning was lovely. I had the Belgium Waffles, yum yum. Would recommend and return with more friends.

Great food and service. The meals are big and very tasty... the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Highly recommended for all the family and your dog... as it is dog friendly... If you like a good coffee, this is the place to come.. Toby's Estate coffee Roasters...

My breakfast arrived cold, they mixed our table up with another table and kept giving us the wrong meals. 2 of our meals took so long to come out everyone else has well and truely finished eating by the time the meals came out. We had to go to the counter twice to check why we had not received our meals, one of which was a child’s meal. Honestly, I don’t think I will go back but the staff were friendly and kind.

My wife and I tried the counter eatery cafe last weekend and were absolutely swept off our feet with the food and service off the staff. The place has a cool laud back vibe and the lunch menu was HUGE! The staff here were just the kindest most genuinely lovely people. Thank you foe the great recommendations on the cookies n Cream donuts and also the “breakfast omelette” that thing is a monster. All the food we had was epic and I would definitely recommend soy latte 😊👌🏼 Can’t wait to come back guys. Thank you to the chefs also. The food was delicious.

Pretty good breakfast and lots of vegetarian options, although my wife's toast was pretty burnt/black on the bottom which some may prefer but she did not. But really nicely presented meals and my waffles were delicious. Great place to stop before you hit the M1 for a quick cafe meal, and the prices are very reasonable.

I love this place. It does have really friendly lovely staff, beautifully presented food for breakfast and lunch and the coffees are extremely smooth and tasty also. Dogs are welcomed as well as horses etc, I kid you not. Obviously outside but the cafe is v engaging and you will feel v well received and the experience is warm and relaxing. Well done all round.
