Thank you to 129 Center Cut. My daughter’s bridal shower was amazing. 60+ guests were taken care of seamlessly, thank you Jes. The food was great and plentiful as were the mimosa and Bloody Mary bars. The venue was beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event.

Had a really great meal. The pork chops. Seasoned nicely. Kale had a great seasoning making it a treat. The bacon pieces and sauteed apples were a nice touch with the mashed potatoes. Third time at this restaurant and the most memorable. Had a very good old fashioned as well.

Let’s just call it what it is, it’s not a steakhouse. Food and drinks were all very subpar, the buratta was old and stracciatella was essentially solid, French 75’s were made flat and the “margarita” pizza was just cheese topped with old basil and uncooked cherry tomatoes. We decided to leave before ordering entrées, of which they were at best 5 different cuts on the menu. Atmosphere was fine and our server was very friendly, so our service had nothing to do with our experience, the food just was really disappointing.

The restaurant was very nice. Went down there on a Wednesday night and they were having the farmers market in town. Ordered a steak and it came with a dinner salad. The dinner salad tasted fine it just looks like it was old and a bit wilted. The steak I ordered was very good and the broccoli and potatoes sides were also very good. Maybe they could improve upon the salads just a bit. I would suggest you go ahead and go there because the food is really good. The atmosphere is good and the service was very excellent.

My son wanted to treat me, his sister and his grandmother to a nice Mother’s Day dinner as well as trying something new. Unfortunately, it was a VERY expensive mistake. We ordered it as takeout. There were seven entrees ordered and we only received five. To me that means when they packed it up no one verified the order. My son had to go back for mine and his meals so we couldn’t enjoy a meal as a family. Additionally, the prices were extremely high and the portions were extremely small. Also, the food was mediocre. Disappointing all around. Additional info…My son went to pick-up mine and his food after calling and they told him it would be fresh. He arrived home and I could barely cut into my pork chop and when I finally could it was not cooked all the way through. He asked for his burger well-done and he bit into a raw burger which also had a putrid smell. In addition, my daughter’s lamb was not prepared properly and smelled rotten. Needless to say dinner was ruined. Poor quality and poor customer service…just sad.

Had a well-deserved amazing meal with wonderful people. My girlfriend got the short rib, and it was delicious, but it was a bit pricey. My other girlfriend got the 8 ounce filet, and she said it was on point and the price was fair. I got the prime rib that they only have on fri & Saturdays. And as you can see in the pictures it was perfect! Or server Rachel was also a pleasure to be around and made our visit that much more enjoyable! Cheers!

The filet mignon was superb!! A bit pricey but i think if you want a good steak ill pay for a little more. The calamari was very delicious! My wife got the santa fe salad and i like it a lot, she thought it was ok. The service was slow and we were literally one of 3 total tables on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice clean place. Just expect to pay a good amount of money

Know what this is? It's one of the Best Kept Secrets in the Chicagoland area. It's one of a few amazing pizzas they serve at this gorgeous downtown Grayslake dining establishment. It's called the Tarte Flambé, and it's not just another pizza. It's a freshly-made dough, topped with crème fraîche, Spanish onions and Swiss cheese... and the pièce de résistance? Slab Bacon. Every time I go in here I know I should try something else (and they do have items that every Omnivore, Vegetarian and Pescatarian could enjoy) but I inevitably gravitate towards this delectable treat. Plus, the bar manager Jes and her crack team of servers always aim to please. Their cocktails are creative, the liquor selection is eclectic and inspiring and the wines are superbly matched to the food. And they now serve Brunch! If you're near Grayslake, you would be remiss to pass up this wonderful venue.

Tonight me and my hubby tried this place for the first time. Overall food was good, atmosphere was pleasant, staff seemed not very welcoming, waiter was very polite but got very careless after we ordered our food. We asked for extra ranch, never came actually 3 other waiters had to get us extra items such as steak knives we ordered the prime rib and no steak knives were given. For the price the prime rib was pretty bland. We are huge steak lovers and chicken we weren’t let down but definitely would consider ordering something else and definitely coming at another time. Our waiter Joe was hitting on females at the bar for 10 minutes and then walked over to another group of girls at the bar for longer. It was at the least aggravating. Wish we were more welcomed and cared for seems like a lot of careless young adults working. I think we will give it one more shot hopefully it was just a bad night. We will update soon!

Really nice restaurant in downtown Grayslake with outside seating along street. Street barriers with flowers. Great service by Cassie. GM came out and welcomed us. Staff really provides great friendly service. Had goat cheese with marinara sauce and tasty toasted bread slices for appetizer. Delicious! We got salmon with green beans and potatoes. Sauce on salmon was so good. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Dessert. Chocolate mouse was rich and creamy. Definite must try.

Upscale casual steak house with a great vibe and good food. Wood fire mushrooms had some zing with the spicy sausage. Prime rib (Saturday special) had a good crust and the black pepper aus jus was a nice touch.

While we haven't been doing any dining in at local restaurants since the pandemic started, we have, however, been ordering a lot more carryout in place of going out. We recently ordered the Prime Rib from Center Cut for the first time and...WOW! What we received was a very flavorful and tender piece of meat that was cooked to perfection! It's better than what I make at home, which doesn't happen often, and I told my husband right away that THIS was our new go-to place for PR! Considering that most everything is a la carte there, the pricing for the meal (including the sides) was very reasonable and well within range of other places we've had it at...and was much more delicious! I can't say one bad thing about that meal...not one. As far as service and atmosphere, well we didn't dine there, so I don't have anything to share on that, other than the gal that took my order and the gal that gave it to us for carryout, were both (if not the same gal) friendly, courteous and professional. We will definitely be returning for a repeat...the meat was that good. Highly recommend the prime rib!

A very lively popular place. Other than a lit up modern bar area with fireplace and comfy large couches, nothing else really stands out. Lots of tvs. Menu is simple: 2 fish selections, 2 pastas, 1 chicken , 1 pork hamburgers, pizza and of course steak and the very popular prime rib. Every entree comes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable which was green beans that night.. It was very busy and crowded. Took our drink orders, they came quickly. Drinks were great. Our order came over an hour after we ordered. They apologized and offered drinks . The food arrived and i am not sure if it was because they had run out of food by the time the order was complete but i had 4 green beans and a tiny portion of potatoes. My steak was perfectly cooked and tasty. My dinner partners had the prime rib and loved it. I would have given this place 5 stars for food but really 4 green beans? Very noisy. I may give it another chance as the steak itself is worth the trip.

Went here again after not visiting for about 6 years. Nothing seemed to change other than the prices. We got three steaks two 6oz and one 8oz which were great but the portions were tiny. For what you are paying for, you'd think pricing would be worth it but overall the evening was overpriced. Our waitress was anything but attentive and really struggled to bring water refills or see if we needed anything after the food was delivered but we tipped her well so hopefully she'll be better next time. House salad was weird and went untouched by 2/3 of us. Nice enough place except for the small portions especially for desserts and big prices. Overall I think there are better places where I'd rather go and spend the amount of money. But worth a try if you wish.

My husband and I just tried Center Cut after hearing great things, but were a bit disappointed. The building is lovely, however it has these large windows (that were not open when we were there, but I have seen open before) and there are no screens on them. So we spent most of our time swatting away tens of flies instead of eating. Very off putting when you are easily dropping $100 for dinner for two. There was no bread or anything served before ordering. A small detail, but again, for the price point, a miss. The food was fine, but a bit over priced. My filet had no seasoning that I could detect, just char flavor. But that may be because I ordered it medium and was served rare, so they threw it back on the grill a bit. My husband loved his drink, and said his spicy crab mac n cheese was good.

Excellent service and amazing food! California chicken sandwich was spot on and the mustard sauce was amazing! The short ribs were the best I ever had! Everything was prepared to perfection! HIGHLY recommend! What a great place!

Walking in, the decor and ambiance are absolutely gorgeous. My buddy told me about the food and drinks. So, I was ready to dig in, I went with carne asada, mash, and old-fashioned. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, it was so good I wanted to order another plate. The old-fashioned was good about 6/10. Make no mistake the star of this show was the Steak. Would definitely be heading back to this gem in Grayslake.

Had a great dinner experience at the restaurant. Showed up because of Lake County restaurant week and we left very happy. We enjoyed a lot of their cocktails, all were really good. I started with their 129 Signature Manhattan and my wife had the Moonlit 75, the purple drink. Then switched their sangria and a glass of viognier with dinner and finished a a gin martini and the Alpine Mudslide. All of the drinks were great. We started dinner with their crab cakes on special and they were fantastic. Then we enjoyed some of their prime rib. The mashed potatoes were fantastic. The server was very attentive throughout the entire meal and every was friendly. We had one minor issue and they went above and beyond to fix it and left us very happy. If you're in downtown Grayslake or just near the area I would definitely suggest you check it out.

Great food, and great service. Had the chance to speak to the new Chef, and we told him the food was really good. One of the best food we have had in the US. We went for brunch, I hat the benedictine eggs and my wife had the Smash burger. Both plates were really good. Glad to finally find a good restaurant in our area.

Absolutely loved dinner at Center Cut! My 3 friends and I were all seated within a few minutes, the staff was attentive with getting our orders, drinks filled, and appetizers to the table promptly. The food was amazing! The lamb pops are a definite must try. The chicken alfredo was great. Finishing with the creme brulee was a perfect ending to an excellent meal. Will go again soon!
