Well where do I start 🤔 from walking into the restaurant was greeted and welcomed by the amazing staff . Ordered pad Thai with chicken asked if I could also add prawns and of course the staff said no problem 😊 👌 Then the pad Thai chicken and prawns arrive well presented with a wedge of lime 😋 to squeeze on top which I did . And ❤️ what an amazing dish full of flavour and brilliantly prepared . Delicious...First time here definitely not the last .Will highly recommend to all friends and family 👪 👍 ❤️. 5/5 Thankyou Tiger rock and all the team members. Continue the great service you are providing.

Very authentic Tom Yam. Unfortunately same can't be said to the Malaysian dishes we tried. They felt watered down and the portion is probably tailored towards healthier lifestyle, which doesn't always coincide with South East Asian street food. They're not bad, just missing out on so much potential! It felt like street food tapas for us during our visit. The price can also be very expensive if you're after something that fill you up. The Apple spring roll is very nice and delicious. The decor in the restaurant is also amazing. We were unlucky to have been allocated a table in a corner, which leave us next to no space to get walk through when both adjacent tables are seated with other guests. Overall it's a good experience, but for this price point it's kinda expected.

Went here with my vegan girlfriend and bought 3 dishes each as it was recommended and every single one was perfect! The prices average around £6.50 a dish but you get your money’s worth and the flavours are spot on! There are many vegan options which my girlfriend really love too. Will definitely be coming back.

A group of 12 went here for my sisters birthday last weekend. The restaurant was modern. The menu was quite vast and the staff were nice enough. Service was quite fast. I enjoyed my dishes, especially the duck spring rolls and the pork belly. The ribs, which I was most looking forward to, were disappointing. The meat was stuff to the bone and wasn’t very tender. It tasted ok though. I really enjoyed the mango mocktail drink and I also had a lychee drink which was awesome. For dessert I had the rice pudding with mango which was ok. We thought everything was reasonably priced.

Amazing food. Two of us turned up yesterday without a booking. Not a problem at all. Very friendly service and the staff were great. Tiger beer on draft and the food was fresh, hot and tasty. The small plates are a decent size and put a lot or other restaurants to shame. Definitely worth a try. You won't regret it.

The most beautiful food we’ve ever had. Every single dish was exceptional. My personal favourites were the Nasi Goreng and Panang Het. Service was amazing and very friendly. We will be back!!

Fantastic Food and Service. EVERYTIME! 3 Plates is enough for most people. The chilli and garlic ribs and the duck breast and bak choi are my personal favourites. If the North John site is busy there is also another Tiger Rock on Smithdown Road (by Penny Lane) and another opening on Renshaw Street (will be open for Eurovision in May). Enjoy!

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. They were able to give us a table without booking which was great! Food was mixed, some dishes were really tasty and others not so much. The garlic chilli squid for example was rubbery and inedible, such a shame. The Thai salad was really tasty, and so was the crispy beef and coconut noodle soup. 2 dishes per person was a good amount, the dishes were a lot bigger than we were expecting! The restaurant was drafty and quite cold at times, and also smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess the door kept being left open. They also asked us to pay for our meal before the food came, but they didn’t for the couple sitting next to us. Bit bizarre!

Central place and the decor is good. A little too dark so maybe some more lighting. The menu at first sight is delicious, includes everything. The glasses for water were dirty but they changed them and gave us an extra bottle. The duck, squid and beef udon noodles were fantastic and full of taste. The chicken satay was a little rubbery and the mango salad had very un-ripe mango so it was just vinegary and bitter. The apple spring rolls with coconut ice cream were yummy.

Amazing..... Arrived late evening for our pre honeymoon celebrations, service from the start was really welcoming and fast. The food though is definitely where this place shines through, we had a few dishes to share and honestly they were some of the most delicious and fresh dishes we have ever had, I am a huge fan of South Asian cuisine and this really was the real deal, delicious flavours, great accompaniments and the ribs just fell off of the bone. If you are in Liverpool for a break or just looking for something different. Honestly you need to go here :)

Been here a couple of times with my mum and her friends, and this is a great place to go if you like authentic southeast Asian food. Had the udon noodles, the fillet steak with pickled ginger and wasabi, and (if I remember correctly) the cake was a sticky toffee pudding and was warm and flavourful. The pickled ginger that came with the steak was one of the most interesting tasting foods I've ever eaten. Highly recommend!

Honestly blown away by every single dish! One of my foodies group on Reddit recommended this place and I’m so glad I have it a chance. The food is so flavorful and colorful. The spice levels are just perfection. The staff was super friendly and the ordering process was super smooth. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked! The curry laksa was I sanely flavorful! If you are looking where the locals eats this is the place!

We booked a table last week for 5 and had to pay a £50 deposit. That was fine but then when we wanted to cancel the booking within an hour after that, the restaurant did not even mention that the deposit was not refundable if booked within 24 hours. This is a scam in broad daylight! They expect all their customers to know everything about their deposit policy. Be CAREFUL when you book a table. The waiter who called us during cancellation did not even bother to explain to us about the non refundable deposit if we had cancel so we thought we would get our deposit back. If we had known, we would have just come to the restaurant for the table to protect our deposit instead. Since that day, I lost £50 and all valid reasons to ever come to this restaurant again.

You need to eat here! The food was insanely good. The menu is great and there’s a lot of choice. The crispy chilli beef and beef satay were 10/10. I wish we could have tried everything on the menu because it all looked so good. Next time I’m in Liverpool I will definitely be back!

Perfectly balanced: level of service, fabulous food that isn’t over fussy but special enough for a night out, super fun music that isn’t too loud for conversation, and stylish decor. Completely enjoyed a celebratory dinner here. Ate three small dishes which was plenty but would have been happy with two plus a dessert. Cocktail was super too!

Fantastic restaurant with extremely friendly staff 😊 we loved it here and had quite a big order to celebrate our pre anniversary and completion on a half marathon. Similar to tapas style little bowls of goodness , would definitely recommend for a lite bite or if you fancy ABIT of everything

Food is delicious. I have been to the city centre tiger rock 3 times now and I am currently organising when to go again. The staff are so friendly and the food comes quick but is so fresh and delicious. The wine selection is also good. Myself and my husband have nothing but good things to say about tiger rock!

Lovely restaurant. The food as always was excellent. Anna who was our waitress for the evening was absolutely brilliant. She gave us some really good advice on the menu and was very knowledgeable about the food. We didn't have to wait long at all from ordering the food to it arriving at the table. Everybody was very attentive and made it a very relaxing evening. Thank you so much guys. We will be back soon.

Best assian restaurant maybe even one of the best. Laksa MEE soap was one of the best dishes. Also hor mok pla and many more. So mush great options that we come 2 days in a row. They should open a restaurant also in London. Also they served us fast. Tnx!

The best meal out I’ve ever had! Beautiful little restaurant tucked back from the road, lush green decor with lots of flowers and dimmed lighting. Absolutely lovely staff who took the time to explain gluten/dairy free options (most of the menu is gf and can be made vegan) and service was so quick. We loved the peach Bellini and spicy margarita cocktails - for food we’d highly recommend the stuffed tofu and bbq pork, although everything we ate was incredible, so fresh and tasty. We visited from Manchester for the night but I would love to come back. Thank you for such a lovely evening!

Staff are warm and welcoming at put you at ease. Ordering is straight forward if you choose small plates. All of our dishes came to the table in a timely manner, the flavours of each dish were incredible and not over powering. When you enter, it looks of the beaten track but the experience is worth it.

The best Thai food we had for the 3 weeks in Europe and we tried Thai food at every city and none can match up! The best Laksa ever! Even better than ones in Malaysia!

  • 4/5 Djeus W. 10 months ago on Google
A place to have authentic South East Asian food. Thai, Malaysian, Singapore and Vietnamese. They are tasty and very nicely cooked, as a South East Asian I rate it 4 out of 5 ⭐️. Laksa was good but definitely not Sg. Nasi goreng was very good with wok flavour. Mee goreng with prawns (udang) was ok. Service was very good and attentive. If you want good South East Asian Food is the place to come. 3 dishes are good enough for both of us as we are not big eaters. Each dish portion is similar to Asian size. 👍🏼🙏🏼

We called in here last night on the off chance they had a table and we are so glad we did! When entering the restuarant we were greeted by a friendly host who showed us to our table. They gave us a few minutes to decide on drinks. Then gave us plenty of time (but not too much) to choose our food. The dishes are small tapas style dishes so we ordered 7 dishes between us including the coconut rice and the kimchi which was spicey and authentic, everything else we ordered came out quickly and piping hot, the steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, as ordered and was still sizzling when it arrived at the table. I still had room for desert so went with the apple spring rolls with coconut ice cream which was so nice. If you are in liverpool and love good food cooked well then you'll love Tiger Rock.

Amazing restaurant! ‘Small plates’ are actually really big compared to other small plate kind of restaurants. We were so full and normally we leave tapas places quite hungry! My favourite dishes were the crispy chilli beef, garlic and chilli squid and the Thai curry had sooo much flavour. Will definitely be back!

Went here with my mom on a trip to Liverpool. They are very welcoming and attentive. We got served straight away. The food was very yummy! It's small plates so me and my mom had 5 plates between us which was enough. They bring the food out when it's ready so you might get 3 or 4 plates around the sametime and other plates after a few minutes after. That was good as we didn't want everything at once plus it's fresher then. The food was lovely and if you eat pork try the Vietnamese shredded pork spring rolls they are amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about the food there. I must visit and just over the road from Cavern Club area and 2 minutes from Z Hotel. We went there and over the road for a drink after. Also got to say the food wasn't heavy either so usually after I have a big meal I'm good for nothing but the food didn't make me feel blouted or tried after. A really lovely clean relaxing restaurant. We'd definitely return. Highly recommend this restaurant!
