One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Asked for a non-smoking room and was given a smoking one. Had to ask to switch. The whole building allows smoking so even if you get a non-smoking room, you can still smell it. if you have asthma, good luck. Staff are extremely rude, while trying to get up to our room we we're aggressively questioned because the security guard didn't believe that we were staying in the hotel, even though you can't even use the elevator and get up to your room without a key card. Wasn't allowed to use the pool without a swimming cap. The bed is hard as a rock, the floor was softer. The rooms need a major facelift, very old and dingy. Did I mention it reeeks of smoke and you constantly feel like you're choking? Couldn't leave fast enough. The only good thing about this place was the very kind cleaning ladies.

The restaurant is this hotel is very misleading. They posted the special meal for 238 RMB. But after we were seated, we tried to order the special. 1) We were told that no special during their National holidays which last 10 days. Then they should either stated so on the poster or should have removed the sign from the door. 2) One of the dished we ordered from the menu was fish on Gailan, but the only leafy greens they have were iceberg lettuce and choi sum. 3) Therefore we replace that dish with stir fried asparagus and ribs. Usually ribs do come with some meat, but that dish the ribs were actually only bones deep fried with flour, there's no meat, except fat, attached. Not recommended.

Fantastic location right on top of the Taojin MTR station. Good Cantonese restaurant on the premises and there’s a nice rooftop pool. There’s lots of shopping nearby. They’re renovating rooms and it’s quite needed. Very good value.

Unfortunately disappointed ☹️ The Service is Poor, the room stinks 😷 it seems like someone smoking 🚬 24/7 everywhere also There is a bed smell of mold. They forgot to clean our room twice and when we asked for a heater because it was very cold they also forgot to bring it. The food at the restaurants is in the worst quality we had in China. The gym looks like a gym but does not work, the machines just don’t move see you can get a decent workout. Overall not fun experience.

Clean, good service, good location. This is not a five star hotel. Bed is so hard. It's like sleeping on the floor. Nothing works. Toilet gets clogged, rainwater shower not functional, air conditioning makes clicking sound, night lamps not functional. Newly renovated rooms look like they're from the 70s. Bar fridge does not work. Elevators at peak times insufficient,

I stayed here twice over my first and second 3 day stay in China. After reading some poor reviews, and nonetheless booking this hotels and then not knowing to expect, I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't how the Baiyun stacks to other Chinese Hotels but I found it excellent in every way in terms of services, staff, rooms and facilities, better if not better than many hotels I have stayed at in Australia. Excellent. Thank you for a very pleasant sty in your hotel.

I have stayed here twice. Once for 7 nights. Second time for 11 nights. I was travelling with children (under 2's) both times. Pro's: Cots are available and clean. Rooms are clean and well maintained with decent ammenities. Rates are not cheap but fair. Housekeeping responsive and prompt and understand English. Rooms big enough for 2 cots. English movies channel (Star Movies), BBC World News channel on TV. Con's: No wifi in room, tethered internet only. LAN cable is NOT ISOLATED, other rooms can see each other on the network. Soap dispenser on wall of shower is your "3-in-one" shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (but other toiletries are diverse and provided in the room).

3 star hotel at best. In general, the staff treat you like an inconvenience. Reception and restaurant staff do not smile. The nicest person in the hotel was the lady cleaning our room (huge smile and great service). We stayed 12 days and staff wouldn't have even known we were guests there. Breakfast is below average - stale cereal, empty milk jugs etc. Chefs making eggs (omelettes etc) won't even look at you. Restuarant staff don't seat you for breakfast (we were looking for a table almost every morning with staff just walking past and ignoring us). Shower is boiling hot for 10 seconds then freezing cold for 10 seconds - on and off. Our room was clean (stayed on 17th floor) but the beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Woke up with back and neck pain every morning. To top it all off, check out was terrible. Complete lack of any kind of customer service. Will pay the extra and stay across the road at the Garden next time.
