We had a lovely last night in Guatemala, spending in this special place. We got a meal with a rich taste. It was delicious. On top of that Mario is a very good host and told us about his food with passion. We would love to come back for a cooking class!

This place is pure magic. Really. The food priceless, the chef and the owner beautiful, the energy magnificent. It made my last night in guatamala magical. This is a must eat place and the guest house beside it petite marinas hotel just as facinating.

A hidden gem. Not wanting to venture far after an evening flight, we heard this restaurant was right next door to our hotel (Mariana’s Petit). Its unassuming exterior, i.e. no sign or windows, didn’t put us off and we let our host, Don Mario, serve us some delicious home-cooked food. The tastiest pork cooked in BBQ sauce with potatoes and a mixture of fresh vegetables was fantastic. Dessert was made with seasonal fruit and, with a beer each, the bill was less than GTQ100 each. A unique place and great atmosphere. If you have any dietary requirements, this may not be for you, or certainly check beforehand that he can accommodate you. We were happy to take a chance and it paid off!! Highly recommended 😊

Amazing food and lovely host! The bananas for dessert were a huge hit, highly recommend if you're in the area.

Mario served us the best meal my girlfriend and I had in Guatemala. I'm so glad we stopped there to eat. If you're in the neighbourhood before catching a flight, do yourself a favor and go eat there. You'll be glad you did. Thanks Mario !

This was an unexpected pleasure. A very special person who also cooks beautifully. We sat in his home and enjoyed his company. Do not skip on his home made sauces.!!! My son and I lapped up every drop with bread, Scarpetta! There is no menu. It’s one delicious dish. Call ahead to be sure. If I lived here I would come often and we would be friends.
