Our go to park since I was a kid. Huge space to just relax. Avoid peak hours and holidays or it will be really crowded. Otherwise it is good for peaceful hangouts. Free entry for senior citizens.

Just Simply EXCELLENT Experience! Visited this place some decades ago, and now its still beautiful as ever! Very happy to see the neat and clean atmosphere. Big applause to the management. Just need little improvement in cafeteria side, the food was very low-quality, epecially the chat was just 'uble huwe channay' the fries were half cooked and tasteless & no such good sitting arrangement there. Rest every stuff was very well decorated & maintained. We were unable to visit the museum due to the time shortage, but hope it will be also good.

Ok it was my first ever visit to this museum.I wante to see ths submarine since I really like them.I was surprised the entire museum was very nice and well kept. The submarine was totally painted inside out and was fully airconditioned to ensure people dont get suffocated inside.Apart from the big sub there were smaller ones as well but to me they were just hollow junk. Museum entry ticket Rs60 Adult Rs30 for children. You have to buy additional ticket of Rs30 for the large sub and navy plane separately. The picture gallary is the best to visit with excellent history to follow. Overall experience 10/10

Unfortunately the main building was being renovated but there was still a lot to see and explore. Lots of parking available quick entry but you will need to purchase tickets at the entrance and also pay for parking, which is cheap. Cheap and cheerful and decently maintained throughout. loving the palm trees. Best part was actually going into the Submarine as it was my first ever time to experience entering a Submarine. definitely worth a quick visit

If you are a knowledge lover... this place is amazing. You will find naval history here. Best experience is to visit old original submarine, ships, naval fighter plane and museum. Big gardens and eating place also available inside. Wheel chair and rampage also available...but may not be feasible to visit submarine and plane. Good to visit during evening and in cold weather. Due to open gardens; it kay be difficult to visit during peak sun light.

Went with my family for a weekend getaway, I remember being at this museum back when I was in third grade with my school peers. It was so much fun, the museum has really upgraded in terms of cleanliness. I found the detailed information mesmerizing. It was worth the hassle. I'm in love with the maintenance of this place. There are a couple of rides too, and there's a canteen outside the museum if you feel like you're hungry or something. There was so much to see and learn I wasn't able to take a picture of it all, but I still managed to take a few with the authorities' permission. Would recommend this place to everyone who are looking for a fun way to teach their kids or you get siblings more about Pakistan and It's achievement as a Muslim state.

One of the best places to visit with kids and families in Karachi. Best army museum inside here. A lot of premium and unique things are available in the museum. The best part is you can go inside the military planes and submarines here. You can get rides here, boating is also available. Rates are good. You can buy stuff here regarding the Pakistan army especially at very cheap rates all are made by women association. Picnic tables are also available. Recommended place to visit with family.

really fun place to visit , the submarine was really big from the outside but very cramped from the inside , the lighthouse has too many stairs to climb , u need to bring water but the view is worth it . the museum had really cool and ancient objects. The plane is a good place to chill cuz theres ac in it. There were rides too but they wernt being operated while we were there. price was 260 per head for the package that includes everything in the maritime museum excluding the rides. i definitely recommend to visit this place with friends

It is a good place to see Navy ships, n technology. It provides history of Pakistan's Naval forces. There is an aircraft to visit in that museum. It has a ticket of Rupees 20. Do not go to visit that because it has nothing so special, and it is not managed well. The fun part is a submarine that is open for visitors. It is huge and has alot of things to see. The museum has a nice park with fountain, water, ducks floating in that water.... Overall the museum is a nice place to visit in a good weather.

Entry ticket was Rs60 per adult and 30 for children below 3years. Inside the submarine tour costed another 20 per head and a separate tour of navy plane for 20 per head. The plane was a total waste of money. However the submarine was the only best part about the museum.

They have outstanding portraying sense of living style in sea and have beautiful collection of sea creature including sharks. I have never seen such a huge bulb 💡they've placed. It was combination of some bulbs and about 2 feet in size. Different kind of old guns👌. They have skull of fish who also had a hand like human. But HS I didn't see it bc of height. Nothing extra-ordinary in the plane they're Charging Rs/20. per person.

Worth visiting place with family and kids. Lot of parking available. Free for armed forces personnel. You would have peace of mind for your vehicle once it's parked. Nominal ticket price. I think on special days only families are allowed which is good for people in Karachi to feel comfortable inside. Inside the museum there is aircraft u can visit by paying nominal charges, there is a submarine u can visit, a small paddle boat area 7 can enjoy. Lot of greenery which makes the venue more beautiful. Then there is some area with different swings your kids can enjoy. Then there is indoor museum with naval history and some very beautiful aquariums you can see and enjoy. The only area which need improvement is it's food corner regarding cleanliness and food quality. But still highly recommended place to visit with family and kids.

The main museum building is located inside the park of 28 acres. It comprises six galleries and an auditorium. The museum is based on modern concepts of presentation and interactive education. Different artifacts of maritime and naval heritage have been incorporated through attractive dioramas, relief sculpture, murals and miniature paintings, touch screen computers, taxidermy and ancient weapons. A computer based maritime information retrieval system has also been incorporated to facilitate the visitors and students for easy access. Besides all of the above, the museum also displays Daphne Class Submarine PNS Hangor (S131), the minesweeper, PNS Mujahid (M164), Breguet Atlantic aircraft and a wooden barge that was given to the Naval Chief by Her Majesty during the 1960s.

Good place for visiting with family. If you know how and where we stand safe from sea side then visit this place with your family and show them the history and how the efforts has been made. The life of human in the sea describes so nicely and present it in a good way to understand. Sea life (human and other species) are place with art of wisdom.

Very good experience, not lots of Things to explore apart from the marine. The marine experience was awesome and absolutely fantastic. This can further improve if the increase some options, arrange shaded places as it was too hot outside. Even the Muesem didn't have the AC working so it was very hot and humid inside. But the kids would love to be here in evening or in a better weather. Over all 06/10

A very beautiful well maintained museum same as anyone can imagine from a institute like Navy. Weapons are elaborated in very well manner. There is a decommissioned submarine there with a ticket price of 20/-. Park is peacefull and quite. There is a gallery and history corridor of karachi in main hall. Atlantic model navy plane is also there with ticket of 20/-. Parking is ample and wide. Entry ticket in museum is 60/- for adults. Although it is a museum with historical significance of Pakistan navy related matters. It has number of naval equipment, vessels and personnel ,there are multiple issues that are unjustified. The positives are : it is well maintained, well kept and clean. The historical details are well mentioned which provides accurate information. There is an actual model of submarine, airplane and a small ship which visitors can go inside. There is ample parking space, lawns are big enough and free for children to run around. There is a documentary about Pakistan navy constantly being played inside the submarine and airplane. There is also is an interesting Anelemmatic Sundial on which you can stand and witness it showing the correct time. The negatives are : Visitors are not allowed to bring in their food and this is a very bad thing because if we have to go to picnic here so food has to be bought from inside. Visitors have to buy additional ticket to visit submarine and airplane that is you have to buy an entrance ticket on general and to see submarine and plane you again have to buy additional ticket. Though ticket prices are nominal 20 RS. Couldn't find a shade to sit although there are benches everywhere.

MARITIME MUSEUM A replica of the Manora Light House has been built on the premises, which signifies the importance of these nautical landmarks while navigating at sea. Visitors can climb up and enjoy a panoramic view of the museum's breathtaking landscape. The light house greatly enhances the view of the lake and duplicates the atmosphere of Karachi harbour. MARINE LIFE GALLERY This large gallery has been incorporated on the second floor of the museum. It provides the visitors a clear concept of the variations of coral and marine life from the sea surface to the continental shelf down to the deep sea. It is a colourful experience for the visitors and exceptionally informative of the marine life. A specially programmed computer for accessing information on marine life has also been provided for the young and keen scholars. MARITIME HISTORY GALLERY The most fascinating antefact of the Maritime History Gallery is the metallic armourus, which was, found off the coast of Ormara during recent dredging. It dates back to the 8th century when Mohammed Bin Qasim's forces passed through this region. The gallery also exhibits Moenjodaro's riverine trade, Ancient Trade Routes, mural painting of Bin Qasim's Attack on Deybal, early Muslim navigational instruments, maps and miniature paintings. MUSEUM LAKE A large lake has been built on the museum premises to achieve an atmosphere of the sea. A complete Minesweeper and a Midget Submarine have been anchored in the lake. For the preservation of the rapidly diminishing tradition of manual boat building a traditional riverine boat called Baghochan has been permanently displayed. The boat was fabricated on the museum premises by rare artisans using only six tools. The lake provides the visitors a number of seating platforms overhanging the water where they can relax while enjoying the serenity of the lake. NAVAL GALLERY This gallery is a fine representation of the Pakistan Navy's achievements during the 1965 Indo-Pak war. A large stone-finished relief mural depicts return of the triumphant fleet after the devastating bombardment of the Indian coast at Dwarka. The gallery has a multitude of vintage naval equipment on display. Truly a bountiful journey through the ages for visitors who wish to vicariously live the naval past. Two computer systems have also been provided for access to world wide naval information through CD-ROMS. ORIENTATION LOBBY This special lobby has been incorporated for the visitors to gather information about the Pakistan Navy by operating easy-to-use touch-activated state-of-the-art computerised Archive Retrieval System. There is also a large mural in ceramic depicting the enormity and resources of the sea flanked beautifully by two large seawater aquariums which add colour and composure to this lobby. PAINTINGS Exquisite works of a number of Pakistani sculptors and artists of national and international repute have been displayed in the museum. Virtuosos such as Zahoor-ul-Akhlaque, Masood Kohari, Shahid Sajad and other prominent artists like Noor Jahan Bilgrami, Khalil Chisti, Ruby, Masood Akhtar, Ather Jamal and Shoaib have rendered lasting expression. These works depict regional maritime heritage, tributes to naval Shuhuda (martyrs), Pakistan Navy's Deeds of Glory, eloquent naval episodes and development of the Pakistan Navy. Reputed institutions such as National College of Arts and Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture have also been associated to give the museum an authentic, aesthetic and a modern outlook. PORTS AND HARBOURS GALLERY This gallery is a comprehensive representation of Pakistan's Harbours through expressive exhibits and paintings. The Karachi harbour has been depicted in a large diorama giving the visitors an opportunity to enjoy a birds eye view of the channel, its surrounding settlements and the rare mangroves. Immaculate sculptures representing the Traders of the East, a Ropery and the unique vintage lantern are its main exhibits. A large mural painting of Manora's Fort Qasim is also a sensational display

I have visited this park many times. The park is well maintained, cleaned and attractive. The staff is civilized and has good manners in dealing. One thing which makes it different from other parks I have visited is a Mosque and especially separate prayer place for females. Strongly recommend to visit once whenever get a chance. A historic museum which provides knowledge about Pakistan's Naval history and the ships, submarines, torpidos, missiles, cannons and other weapons it possess. It also have a wall which gives an insight about the Islamic Naval History, the role of Pakistan Navy in the Indo-Pak wars and much more. There are various naval medals an awards of honour which are kept on display in the museum. I love it and enjoy visiting it. It is neat and clean and well-maintained. Its in a very good condition as compared to Mazar-e-Quaid. They have also rennovated the museum and introduced a separate area for SUPARCO missions and equipments. ❤

Pakistan Maritime museum is a good place for learning and enjoyment for all age groups. This place is managed by Pakistan Navy and it contains lots of information about Pakistan Navy, it's history, Navy landmarks, equipment used by Pakistan Navy and also much more information regarding sea life. They have placed a real submarine and a Warship where you can go inside and explore. This place contains Pakistan Navy gallery, scientific gallery, aquariums, artifacts, cafeteria, playing area for kids, light house, vintage equipments and much more. You can spend a quality time here from 9 am till 10 pm all days a week.

Favourite place for every age. Visiting this place since childhood and still the very same and we'll maintained. Under Pakistan Navy direct supervision, it's upgraded ok yearly basis. Recently they are opening joyland area after complete renovation. The ships and arsenal are outdated though which needs replacement. Museum area is amazing with so much knowledge about Pakistan Navy inception and it's rich history. All in all, a very good family go-to place.

Overall it's nice. 1. Ticket prices are on little expensive side but they have created some packages and included some free rides. So it's fine. 2. They have separate ticket for some of buildings/museum items like Light House, Aeroplane, Submarine etc but this is inclusive in the ticket. So if you don't have packaged ticket then you have to separately pay for each. 3. Electric rides are also little expensive but are well maintained. 4. Lawn and grass is in excellent condition. 5. Museum is small but has a beautiful aquarium.

Pakistan Maritime Museum is a naval museum and park situated near PNS Karsaz on Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road in Karachi, Pakistan. The main museum building is located inside the park of 28 acres. It comprises six galleries and an auditorium. Visited and experience was amazing. Wish to visit again and again specially with family. If you get a chance to visit this place then never miss the chance.

Really good maritime history museum showcasing the rich history of South Asian Naval affairs. The park features many dioramas in the main building and the highlight of the park is the PNS Hingor the submarine that can be boarded and explored for an extra nominal fee.

The place where Pakistan navy showcases their culture and strength through models of their some renowned ships, missile tech, submarines. Its a good place to take kids and let them enjoy the beautifully crafted themed park. Few years back they organised dolphin shows as well.

Ok place for outings. Most part of the museum is closed currently due to maintenance. The museum foes not have any cooling system and it was hot and damp inside when we visited it. Other items in exhibition are just fine but should be maintained and taken care of regularly..

  • 3/5 Muhammad Anas K. 3 years ago on Google
It's not as good as compared to PAF museum regarding the artifacts and history. They need to upgrade it with more accounts and recent milestones achieved by PN. Having scale models of newer vessels like F-22P class frigates and MILGEM class Corvettes would attract more enthusiasts. A major upgrade is needed in the souvenir shop because it sells every other useless item except for Navy related. Small scale models of different boats and ships, missiles, submarines and aircrafts along with navy gear should be exhibited and sold there like at PAF museum souvenir shop. Adding simulators would be great too.

Also the ticket office has charged us 5Rs extra then the printed fare upon asking they informed us the printed paper was old ? seriously can’t get a new tickets hardly cost 1000Rs may be . Even the aircraft ticket was the same charges extra then the printed price . The lights wasn’t work even now it can b replace easily with led or solar. The only part I saw was well maintained was museum . Utter negligence from government has ruined this gem. It was turned into a beautiful place to go a few years ago with the safari rides and wild animals living in open spaces but now structures are rotting and chair lifts hanging from the sky like they are going to drop down any moment. It's extremely sad to see such an amazing family park turned into garbage just because of corruption.

A very nice and well-maintained museum from Pakistan Navy. Due to the quiet and calm atmosphere there you surely feel relaxed and peaceful being there. This is also a really good place you can take your family for a small trip especially your children. Most of the things are very well maintained and well kept. It has number of naval equipment, vessels and personnel. The historical details are nicely mentioned providing accurate information. There are actual models of submarine, airplane and a small ship which visitors can go inside. The parking space is also huge. There is a documentary about Pakistan navy which is continuously being played inside the submarine and airplane. There are several other things which people find really interesting. I guess the only problem there is that they do not allow food to be taken there which becomes hard time for the people who come there to spend long time.

Highly economical and a wholesome place to chill on a weekend with family as their are only a few parks left in Karachi for the Karachities to go to and have fun. Ticket price Rs.60 per head above 3 yrs age Closes at 9 p.m Canteen is expensive as they charge more than normal on all stuff as they have to "pay their bills and rent" the shopkeeper told me himself.

Very informative and interesting place. There are a large number of maritime objects including a submarine, a Mine Sweeper Ship and an Atlantic aircraft. Clean and Green Lawns. Well maintained. There is an indoor independent Museum which has multiple galleries showing national, maritime and naval history. A dedicated aquarium having dozens of fish species is also part of the Museum. Definitely a worth visiting place for Karachites.

I'm giving it one star only ,not because it's bad place but I want less people to visit this place. It becomes more crowded especially in weekend evening.

It could be lot cleaner and visually appealing. Charging tickets for submarine views but there should be some staff member guiding us through.it was mere walking in a bunch of stuff lying around without any description written or verbal what so ever.

It was a very good atmosphere and very popular museum on CarSaz road karachi. You can buy all useful things in this museum like as fast foods, ice-creams, water bottles, cold drinks, different types of Juices and other things. In this museum a play ground for small kids or children. In this museum a big park 🏞 area for entertainment and a summing pool. In summing pool a very big boat for visiting and enjoying and inter tenements for people and many other great things are present in the summing pool. In this museum a big aero plane for people visiting and a big museum hall and a Mosque. In front of this museum a very big parking area with security. It means this place is very safe and secure.

There is enough well-managed parking. Beautiful sunset views, especially from the top of the watch tower. A ship, an aeroplane, and a submarine were utilised by the Navy, and you can walk inside and explore them. On the bridge, there is a magnificent fountain. Restaurants are provided in the dining area. Near the gate is a mosque with washrooms. Overall, the property is well-kept and well-managed.

I went to the museum with my school students and colleagues. This visit experience was really amazing👌. It was winter but we enjoyed a lot. We went to the museum and saw historical things. There is a fish 🐟🐠🐡achorium as well. There are ice cream🍦 shops and canteen as well. We enjoyed😋 ice cream even in the winter evening and drank Kashmiri tea ☕afterwards and ate Chana chaat, burger🍔, and Gol gappe which were really tasty. The environment is so relaxed☺️. We enjoyed a lot🤗

Experience was good at the Maritime Museum, But the interactive equipment at the special section were not working, may be they are not maintained properly or there are some sort of people that visit and damage it. This place is kinda of a heritage to us, it should be well maintained and the security needs to more vigilant to ask people not to damage property.

After school, we left for this PNWA festival...it is usually the handmade stuff and small businesses. The entry ticket was minimal, The timings that we chose was superb cos at that hour it was not crowded. N me all time looked for ATM ...n found it luckily ... Furthermore, we planned for window shopping initially but ended up buying a shirt, caps and a bit of food items....but yes we need to learn a lot about our responsibilities.

Visited the museum last Saturday. The problem everyone was facing that entry gate mentioned in map was closed, visitors were directed towards main gate of Karsaz base to enter inside I think because of PNWA festival going on, no such ticketing problem. Inside park the real fantasy was entering submarine "Hingor" other ships and lighthouse was also there, museum inside park is ticket free with various miniature naval arms with their historical description, not as large as PAF museum but still a fine place to visit with family.

Well maintained family place to visit especially for children. One can experience the Maritime life of Pakistan Navy personnel. It was really amazing to step foot onto the ship and visit inside the submarine.

Very non co operative main ticket seller counter. Staff there must actively ask carefully which tickets visitor wants to buy 1-Main gate entry only (100/50Rs) or 2- economy package ticket (130/150 Rs) Very disappointing. It's not Public Relationing Rather generating revenues approach. Even marketing for Economy Package would not only help generate more revenue but in friendly mannen. We travelled 1250kms and aren't pleased with staff Although site is good and worth visiting. We Asked for Economy Package tickets for Adults and children but we're issued Entry tickets only.Realizing the issue when requested to replace as we were big and family buying tickets on counters inside was much costly we requested replacement at main gate counter which was denied . An elderly couple before us seemed to have similar argument and left cursing. Water filter
