Do yourself a favor. .. don't go there. Place is disgusting and management is rude and frankly doesn't care at all. I have pictures..... dirt and grime EVERYWHERE! The whole place is gross, both in common areas and the room itself. Housekeeping seems to be nonexistent. Even the towels are terribly stained and smelly. The rate seems like a good deal, but it would probably be better to stay in your car. No coffee maker in room as described and the advertised breakfast? Yeah right. No juice, no nothing. There's coffee, but no creamer. They threw a couple wrapped Danish out there, but when the 8 (not even kidding) are gone, Well I guess you are out of luck. There's a refrigerator and cereal dispenser there, but unplugged and empty. They say the waffle maker is out of order..... obviously for soooo long that everything was taken away as well. They even make you take out your own trash.... and direct you to an outside trash and threaten you with a cleaning charge..... laughable!

NEVER use this hotel if you can avoid it. I booked a room for 5 nights. It was cheap and due to circumstances beyond my control price was my number one factor. Lets start with the fact that due to road construction we could not enter the properly via the actual main entrance. Not the fault of the property by any means but a major inconvenience. When we arrived and went up to our room first thing I noticed was the smell. It smelled musty and stale and smokey everywhere. The carpets were old, dirty and looked like they had not seen a vacuum in months. The first room we were given was as dirty as the hallway and smelled equally as bad. The phone didn't work and there was no running water. We complained and got another room. More of the same. Dirty, stinky and just in disrepair. We considered changing hotels but could not afford to pay for cancelling our reservation and for other accommodations. We went and bought cleaning supplies and bedding to make it habitable. I could go on and on about the cleanliness but what's worse is the absolute horrible service we received. We only got 2 normal towels for 4 occupants and they acted like we wanted their first born when we asked for more. Later in our stay we asked for a clean set of towels and they literally counted the towels. When we asked for anything we were met with rudeness. They clearly do not under hospitality. My husband was actually yelled at by one of the employees and another time we had to wake an employee sleeping in the lobby to ask for towels. Again...I know you get what you pay for but cleanliness and friendliness are FREE! DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!

I wish i had read more reviews before staying here. There are other inexpensive hotels in the area, save your money and stay there instead. PROS: - No bed bugs or roaches in our room (Yes, i checked). - AC worked fine - Shower temperature was even CONS - Dirty and in need of a rehab or demo the place and start over. It looked like there was blood in the sink (i convinced myself it was nail polish). The tub had a patch over the bottom. There were stains and a sticky spot on the floor. Yuck all around. - My mattress was really saggy. The other bed was saggy too but didn't hurt my back as much. - The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. - No room service the first morning and then they didn't leave any towels for us the second morning. - It was hard to get to with all the construction in the area. In conclusion, i would've stayed somewhere else even if it cost more. Some other hotels offer shuttle service to Six Flags, which would've saved us money since we had to pay Lyft instead.

They were very friendly but this hotel needs some work. The carpets were stained. The lobby was clean but extremely outdated. Our beds seemed clean except my sheet had a large stain of what I think was paint on it. The carpet had a wet patch near the bed and something gritty like carpet cleaner possibly. The TV was not plugged in to a power source nor the cable connected and when I connected it the remote doesn't go to the TV. The picture quality was mostly terrible. There was also a phone that wasn't plugged into anything, either. However, it was $43 a night and it did have a mini fridge, microwave and a hair dryer. Im giving it 2 stars because I wasn't comfortable enough to take my shoes off at all.

It is true, you get what you paid for. The guy at the counter was nice, the price was ok for the time we stayed. We stayed October 24-27, I asked for a NON-smoking room cause I had my 9 month old with me you walk down the hall and a majority of these rooms say non-smoking but the whole hall way smelled the pure weed and cigarette smoke got to our room and opened the door and as soon as we did we got hit with a huge smell of cigarette as if someone just finished smoking in there. That was every time we opened the door, there was no housekeeping, paint was chipping off the sink, the lights didn’t work, and of course there was only like 6 channels (but that’s wasn’t the problem), there was constantly people fighting in the hallway, and the beds felt like they had bugs. They said there was breakfast but I didn’t care to find out. Save yourself the time and pay a few extra bucks for a better place.

Please please please do not stay here. I had to sleep in my car due to the amount of roaches and other critters. The rooms are FILLED with roaches of all sizes, amounts other bugs. The microwave was filled with bugs. There are rat traps in the rooms, intended to catch pests and other critters in the room. There are mold spots on the ceilings of the bathrooms. Not to mention, management is so unprofessional and rude. Sunny, the manager, refused to give us a refund for the horrible condition of the hotel. He offered to give a discount but why would I want to book another stay at this disgusting hotel? When I had to sleep in my car for the remainder of my stay there. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE !!!!

THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES. I booked a room and as soon as I walked in and turned on the lights I saw three roaches crawling on the walls. This motel is extremely dirty. I left the building as soon as I saw the roaches.

Exactly what is to be expected from a cheap two star hotel with bad reviews. 4 channels on the tv, bathroom was disgusting, fridge was too full of ice to use, bath faucet leaked so bad it might as well have been on, only saw one employee the whole time I was there, water stains on the ceiling, AC unit only had one setting (very high and very loud), and the whole place smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. I expected nothing less and definitely nothing more. DO NOT stay here if you can afford better. The bed was more comfy than I expected though.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. The place was FILTHY from the sheets to the walls to the floors. Despite the fact that there where not one but two room attendents cleaning. Cleaning staff was extremely rude when asked for clean towels and linens. There was no breakfast as the booking stated there would be. The place seemed to be full of questionable people. My nephew got bit up real bad while in the room. I would not stay in this place again if you paid me to stay there. The only good thing I can say is that Sunny at the reception desk was very kind and helpful. When he was told about the cleaning staffs rudeness he took matters into his own hands and changed the sheets himself.

I was traveling from california to illinois was very tired the room I checked into was NASTY the bed was wet the pillows were soaked . The bathroom towels were soaked rolled up sitting on the back of the toilet. Blood all on the bathroom floor cigarettes burns on the blanket turned ac on a horrific order came out . Bugs in the bed crawling . The front desk guy said the room was fine wiped the blood up with tissue .my Asma said no couldn't breathe and then as I am leaving tells me it's non refundable 141.98 really I wouldn't let my worst enemy sleep there this was July 30th was just nasty smelly . How can people be so nasty no pride was crazy and reservations said clearly they would not charge my card until I saw the room . Being I had an other nasty experience in finding a room . People have no morals the motel look okay but was very poor neighborhood. Window wouldn't open smelled awful very disappointed

They changed their name to Gurnee Motel. But it’s still the same moldy, bug infested, stained, & run down business.
