Super food and drinks. Great location and staff. Really had a great time. Bitterballen with jalapeño were outstanding. Chicken perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pulled pork on the nachos fantastic.

Overall a nice experience, very creative and thoughtful interior space. Ordered few drinks, starters and entrees. Their mojito taste great! The pino Colada on the other hand is not so authentic. Taste more juice like instead of the ice cone it should be. The presentation of ceviche is unexpected and tastes really fresh. Great combination with the green sauce underneath and surprisingly good with the chips! We ordered Tataki as well, however it’s too dry for me. Not a big fan of that. Both entree is great! The popo bowl is such a great value!! I ordered basic bowl(€10) with one topping pulled pork(€2.5) with Salsa roja sauce on the side. The bowl is huge! And you could see how much pulled pork they throw in the bowl with only €2.5! It’s flavorful and fresh! More than enough for one person! Highly recommend that. Pollo picante: they roast the chicken so well. It’s juicy and flavorful! And goes well with the side salad. Btw the fries is delicious as well! Pleasant experience 😌

Nice interior and good food. Had a nice evening here. Good - convenient location, next to the big church - nice interior and atmosphere - friendly staff - good food - decent prices Needs improvement - when it become busier, it was more difficult to attract attention of the staff.

If you are a lover of flavours, go ahead and order. The food is flavourful and the atmosphere is lit, the staff is fun and courteous. We ordered sticky chicken wings and pollopicante dish. They were both delicious and fulfilling. I would really recommend going and having a bite.

Nice place where i went for a chat and a drink. They have a wide array of cocktails, wine and beer. Also snacks!

We just tried Popo again (after several years) and I’m so glad we did! We really enjoyed the enchiladas; we had the pollo and the beef. Perfectly cheesy inside, tasty filling combo of meat and veg, and sauce was good too. Nice portion in my opinion. We shared a carafe of frozen lime margarita (good deal) and I will say, there could be some improvement in the frozen ‘Rita, not as smooth as I like but it did the job! Some reviewer mentioned it being more TexMex and to that I’d say, that’s what makes it good! (Honestly, It’s on the fringe, I lived in TX for almost 30 years, I think this is a nice balance of both) There are so many places tryin to go “so authentic” Mexican, and that’s great too, but we all need a little TexMex in our life. We’ll be back!

We had dinner at the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the service was great. The price of the foods are bit expensive. But good to experience the restaurant.

It was extremely cold inside, to the point that we had to wear our jackets inside. Service was mediocre and it took very long until helped or until food came

You’ll get more authentic Mexican food from a shake and bake from Aldi, and even the salad has no idea what a dressing is. Choice is tiny too, but maybe that is just the lunch menu? Staff were nice enough, and only had two tables, so attentive enough, but they were all wearing their pyjamas for some reason…

I am really sorry but the worst food i ever had in this restaurant.. Burrito with chicken came without the chicken..luckily they changed it..with chicken inside..but rice was soggy and appart from the Burrito.. I ordered steak fajitas...steak raw and didn't even came hot... They took this out of the menu... What happened over there ...I used to have decent food.. Even for a Mexican with a twist still the food is 0... You can't serve this to customers..

Always great experience! Enjoy coming here with either large groups or a small company. During our recent visit it was extremely busy. Nevertheless, we got our table on time, food and drinks arrived quite fast. The staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. The price matches effort and quality.

Great location and pretty good menu. The food is a hit or miss. (The fried cauliflower had way too much lemon juice on it, but the wraps and quesadillas are good.) The customer service is very lacking though, the staff is quite passive and not very friendly.

The food is great, however not too authentic but still loved the vibes. Also, the cocktails are amazing and if you are lucky, you might hear the best reggaeton🫶🏻. A must try place.

Had a great time visiting Popocatepetl. Staff was friendly and nice and helpful, spoke great English as well which was great because I don’t speak dutch. Tasty frozen margaritas - tried the lime flavour which was great. For food we had chicken wings - meat was falling off the bone, well seasoned and tender. Also had some ribs - deep, smokey flavour and tacos which were really tasty (and big!) Relaxed atmosphere and cool decorations. Worth a visit

The bartender was amazing! We were 03 girls and we just wanted to have some drinks before heading home and we found this nice place that was fully booked but the bar area worked for us. They have great churros and nice cocktails! Definitely would go again :)

Great place for drinks! We enjoyed the mezcal mule and margarita. This place would be five stars if there was something for kids such as quesadillas or something non spicy as all the menu has spice (states by waitress). Burritos are tasty though!

Didn’t expect much from Mexican food in the Netherlands, but my meal was lovely! The restaurant is well decorated and the staff are nice. I ordered the chicken nachos, they were filling and delicious. I asked for extra pico de Gallo - the meal is very rich and the pico cut it nicely. My nachos came with a hand wipe, which was a nice touch!

We order through the QR code that it’s on the table (every table) and then they brought the order (wine) and the bartender or waiter said to us “don’t order through the app cause it changes tables” so we thought why don’t you remove it if it is not the system anymore. And the Indian waiter was nice 👍🏻

Loved the place. The best Mexican food outside of Mexico I had in years! Perfect balance of spicy well prepared. And a nice cosy quiet atmosphere.

First of all, the interior design and atmosphere is 10/10 - the best looking place I have ever been to. I had a virgin caipirinha, a vegetarian burrito and churros. The caipirinha had a perfect balance between spiciness, sourness and sweetness. The consistency of the churros and the flavour of the chocolate dip was also perfect. I personally prefer burritos where the rice, sauce and salad are put inside it, here they were put in little plates which makes the burrito a little less flavorful but it had fresh cilantro. Service is a little slow but kind.

My favourite restaurant in Haarlem! The staff is always friendly, and the food is great. I just wish they would bring back the nacho's as a main dish.

We had a very pleasant experience here. Really good food, nice drinks and an awesome location. The interior is really cool too. Definitely a spot where you can go for some food and drinks or cocktails. We had the Mexican burger with sweet potato fries, the famous ribs, the vegetarian nachos and the Popo salad and we all loved it! You will definitely have to get one of their delicious lemonades! They are gorgeous and made with love! Prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a try.
