Great spot to have a coffee, see a movie, watch a play.

Remains my favourite art house cinema. No place can beat these screening rooms.

Went here to see 'free solo' and had a great viewing. The theater is modern, comfy and well organized. The seats are really comfy, the screenings not that big, but neither is the distance to it.

Great venue, as a theatre, cinema, hell even the architectural design is beautiful to see. A beautiful building with it's glass facade, combined with three basic elements; wood, steel and concrete. It is designed for the functions it offers and can only be that: a great place to enjoy theatre and film. Even when you're just visiting the city of Haarlem, the bar is a nice place to retreat and have a cup of tea or some other beverage. Don't expect upper-class Gin-Tonic's though.

Nice little cinema. Amazing surround sound, better than larger theaters.

Film and theater house with a relatively large catering industry. Atmosphere excellent.

Always a good place to go to; films that are worthwhile seeing. This time I saw Daughters of the Sun (a documentary film by director Reber Dosky). Yazidi women...

Great place and even a greater play. I'm not going to the theater often enough. It's really enriching my life, so many things to think about. Thanks for providing a place for a show like Klap II: RECHT.

Discovered by chance, it's worth a quick visit for a coffee, as it's much quieter than other cafés in town. Also very child-friendly with great changing facilities in the disabled toilet.

This theater/cinema venue is great. We have visited numerous times over the years. Last visit was to see a film. Comfy seats and a good view of the screen wherever you sit. The cafe is good, serves good coffee and a good glass of wine. Opposite is a specialist beer cafe which is also worth a visit.

Very kind staff, small intimate movie theatre. Very clean. A beautiful screen and sound system. We were assisted by the lovely staff in buying tickets dude to issues with our cards. They were very patient and informative. All in all loved my experience here and would love to come back.

Always a pleasure to visit this cinema or their café. Classy, but not posh. Very cool architecture, only well behaved guests usually, nice atmosphere in their café with friendly alternative staff. Just their prices for the drinks are a bit high.

Very sad that we couldn’t see the movie tonight like we hoped. When I told them that one of my sisters was going to be late for the movies they said it wasn’t a problem, we scanned her ticket and waited for her to join us in the movie. Unfortunately then they wouldn’t let my sister in, while they said before it wouldn’t be a problem. There were about 10 other people in the theatre and there was absolutely “no possibility that my sister could enter the theatre”, while she already paid for her ticket. Thanks for ruining a good movie night with my sisters. I’m definitely not coming back any time soon.

It has always been a pleasure to come to view theater and film at the Schuur for the past 10 years and I haven’t had the chance yet to review it until I found the motivation to do so after being so disappointed by poor service and an uneatable and highly priced tosti. The tosti itself had a tiny slice of cheese, dried old bread and it was half burnt. I left it there with the hope of the waiter seeing how uneatable it was. Not very inviting before watching a film nor good for the prestige of a business that has been ongoing for decades. Shame on you.
